The price was right and speedy delivery. Only problem is that the book is hard to understand. Other dieticians say eat anything, but just in moderation and seldom. This book says do not eat any of certain foods.

This book, along with testing my blood sugar everyday has helped me lower my A1C test. Keeping track of vegetables, carbs, fruit, protein and sugar has helped me see exactly where I was going wrong with my nutrition.

This diet approach tells you every thing you already knew intuitively but gives you the scientific rational and support fordoing so. It is not so much a diet as a sensible way of abandoning self-defeating habits for strategies that are sensible, easy to follow, and effective.

I have gone to the Mayo Clinic medical website for years to consult regarding various issues, one of which has been diets for losing weight plus trying to avoid becoming a victim of diabetes. I ordered this book because I wanted to educate myself re handling my diet. I found it quite informative and helpful with colorful graphics, highlighted topics, detailed index, specific sections on the food pyramid and how to gauge serving sizes, calories, and nutrition aspects. The book treats the significance of exercise plus controlling the food choices made in staying healthy on a daily basis. A positive, approach to living a healthy lifestyle. I automatically think of the store.com for my purchases as my experience with them as been very positive. They respond quickly to my orders. I highly recommend this specific book. Z. Smith

I expected the book to have information, which it did have; but I did expect it to have more information on foods to eat & recipes.
Was disappointed in the content & donated the book to charity.

The journal is an absolute must for the Mayo Diabetic diet book. They are the best books out there for diabetics. They help you to understand and follow a normal diabetic diet and even better at helping you with a dieting diabetic. I've purchased many diet books, etc. for diabetics and none of them are in the same class as these two. I wish I had found them earlier.

This was the most informative book I have found about diabetes. It is easy to read and understand and doesn't throw out a ton of contradictory information. I highly recommend it for anyone recently diagnosed.
