Compared to the other novels by Kathy Reichs this book is not particularly entertaining and the story seems a bit odd and unlikely. If you take for example the starting point where the bones of three girls are found in the basement of a house it seems weird that over the course of decades nobody seems to have noticed them even though the place was rented by a lot of different businesses. Wouldn't one check the basement before you rent a house?

This book is as exciting and adventurous as the first books Ms Reichs wrote. She has a fantastic knack of creating a need to continue reading into the next chapter to find out what happens. I cannot wait to begin reading her next novel!
Death Du Jour: A Novel (Temperance Brennan Book 2) :: Cross Bones (Temperance Brennan Book 8) :: RETURN OF THE NATIVE by Thomas Hardy author of Tess of the d’Urbervilles :: Jude the Obscure (Penguin Classics) :: Deadly Decisions (Temperance Brennan, No. 3)

I have read all of Kathy Reichs books. An author who has lived what they write is extremely important! Yes there are good, even some excellent writers out there, however, who knows their subject matter than one who has lived it. I am also happy for Ms. Reichs success of "Bones" the tv show. Go for it all!

Very well done. Keeps you guessing till the end. I have read almost all of Tempe's books, have 4 more to go. I love them better than her television series. Detective Ryan reminds me of Agent Booth on the series. Love them all.
