Loved it! Amazing adventure! And I was so invested! I felt everything she felt! I was devastated, love struck, nervous and angry. All sorts of emotions that this book put me through and totally worth it in the end. I might even use the word obsessed. And in my mind Collin is so yummy ?

Being an avid historical romance reader, I found this book to be completely satisfying even without sexual content. It satisfied a corner of my imagination. A fulfillment I has only previously satisfied through movies. As always with H.M. Ward, I couldn't put it down.

This book was amazing! Through every twist and turn, I remained entertained. I laughed, cried and found myself shouting warnings and praises to the characters. This story grabs your attention from start to finish and I can't wait until the next book is released.

I actually struggled to finish this book and considered giving it two stars because of that. I liked the story, but felt the story telling was lacking. I never really empathized with Ivy, and even though the book is told from her perspective, I couldn't tell you much about her character. She just didn't seem to have one. And quite frankly, I never cared if she turned evil or not.
There are quite a few inconsistencies, too. Two characters are supposed to be able to read each other's minds, but then in one scene they don't know what the other is thinking. Or, one character can barely control his desire to suck Ivy's soul in one scene, yet earlier in the book they were wrestling around in the school hallway. Plus, said character is supposed to be a high school player that sleeps with lots of girls. But as a soul sucking demon that must consume souls to survive, wouldn't he have sucked some high school girl souls? Plus, there are a lot of the demon things running around, acting in plays and hanging out at high school parties. Seems like there'd be a little more death following them.
I don't know if I'll read the next book in the series. I kinda want to know what happens, but I don't know if I can trudge through another one. The author's writing seemed to improve as the book progressed, but I don't know if it'll be enough to get me to pick up the second book.

Finally, a story about demon lust...This was a good read..The plot of the story was cool...it had an original twist that I can relate to as an author writing about demons... I liked Ivy's character..cool goth chick with an attitude...great descriptive detail and imagery..though sometimes it takes you in circles. It would have been great if the imagery led to something deeper, more physical contact with the main characters. There was heat....hottness..but no actual contact other than some kissing... the idea for the story seemed well thought out and I definitely would recommend this book!"Dantalion of the Goetia": The legend is foretold, from the writings of the Ars Goetia, he who bears the name of Dantalion, hath fallen from grace. ... who wears the mark of a demon... (Volume 1)

I really enjoyed reading Demon Kissed. It hooked me right from the start and I just couldn't put it down. I read it in one night because I loved it so much. I loved the conflict between Ivy and Collin and I found myself cheering on different characters throughout the book. Some circumstances had me biting my nails and others had me smiling uncontrollably. I can't wait for the second one so I can continue following Ivy on her adventures. :)

This book was 99cents on kindle, read the plot outlined, look good so purchased. It was great - worth the 99 cents and more. Some of the editing a little sloppy so if that drives you nuts - don't buy this. Different spin on the teenage paranormal romance. Main character was strong - Ivy - supporting characters were appropriate though some a bit underdeveloped. Found the last half of the novel was better than the first - pace picked up - got a bit more interesting. the ending was a cliff hanger letting you know the sequel will be one you will want to read to follow the story.

I read other reviews, and was slightly disappointed at first, because the story does start off with a bit of typical teen anguish. But after reading for a little longer, this turned out to be a great book, with the exception of some editing issues. For $0.99 this was a terrific value. And now, I can't wait for the sequel. Read this book- it will be a big hit in the future.

This is only book one in the "Demon Kissed" series. I am anxiously awaiting book two "Cursed" expected publishing date of August 31, 2011. Most reviews for this book are 5 stars and this prompted me to purchase this book . The price of $.99 I feel was worth the money.
The plot was interesting, filled with twists, and paced rather quickly. I can understand how some reviews said the book jumped around too much. The pace sometimes felt a bit rushed, but it was easily forgiven.
The characters are OK. Not all of them felt "real to me. My favorite character was the male lead. He and the story itself is prompting me to purchase book 2. Our heroine felt a bit flat to me however, this can be overcome. I hope in the next installment the author works on her development a bit more.

Review of Narration only:
I haven't gotten to reading the book yet, this is just a review of the narration to warn you not to buy it. Worst narration ever! I listen to audiobooks all the time, sometimes I can ignore bad accents or a narrator trying to voice a different gender than their own. This narrator was so bad I couldn't even get past chapter 2. She almost had a lisp and she overacted so badly it was almost comical. It's not worth 99 cents extra to get the narration.
