If dark erotica about "daddy's girl" is your thing then you will enjoy this book. The steamy scenes are provocative and the plot line will surprise you. There are definitely twists throughout this book. Evangeline is a young woman trying to find her way in the world. Her connection to Carter Knight is more complicated then even she knows. This book explores the world of BDSM of slave/pet and Master. Isabella Starling's writing style is addictive to read. She allows the reader to delve into the deep recesses of the human psyche. I found myself hating Carter Knight for the first part of the book and feeling sorry for Evangeline. By the end of the book, my opinion changed of both of them for the better. Great book!

Bought by Carter to be his "little girl" Angel finds herself falling for her "daddy".
Carter thinking he will buy her and use her and get tired of her shortly after doesn't know what to do with these feelings stirring inside him.
But can secrets from their pasts ruin everything that they have found!
This book is filled with lust and suspense and vengeance and hot, hot scenes! And a true and beautiful love!

After reading another dark, tantalizing book by Ms. Starling, I have come to realize her books is a lot like a box of dark chocolates, you never know what your gonna get- but I find myself digging in regardless, catching cases of the feels, anger and everything in between. This attention grabbing hotness had me its clutches within minutes and did not let me out even when I wanted to put the book down in frustration til the very end. Once again Isabella has taken the dark fantasy and turned it into this emotional beast with a side of light at the of the tunnel and a love story that only she can tell.

Vengeance is the start of the empire sin series and what a bang it gets off too! The first few chapters are slightly confronting (I didn't mind them, but just a warning), but once you get past those your in for an absolute treat.
Evangeline is innocent in every way. Carter sees this & takes Advantage of it in every way, however, carters toy is hiding a big secret. A secret full of revenge for her family. Will carter see this in time? Or will being his toy slowly become more real and less about revenge? These 2 will blow up your kindle in the best possible way. Look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I truthfully would have given it 4.5 stars if possible. But, that half star would have been purely because I read this directly after another of this author's books, and I simply just didn't enjoy it * AS* much.

That wouldn't have been very fair to the author, or to readers looking for reviews, to compare books, or even to other authors.

Vengeance was a terrific book. A 5 star worthy book. Starling yet again grips me in her terrifically written, smoking HOT plot. She seems to have a very fresh voice in a sometimes crowded genre.

This book really does start with a bang where Carter buys Evangeline as his pet from her step-dad. He takes her virginity right then and there in from of him no less. This book really is that dark. Everyone has secrets, he does, she does...but what comes of those. This is a giant puzzle piece and we get to watch the puzzle slowly come together.

Typically daddy/little girl books aren't my favorite but I thought I would give it a try. While still not my favorite this book was very well written and I only wish we had a little more depth to the characters. Overall 3.5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. I had just finished reading Pet by this author and went right on to read Vengeance. That might have been a mistake on my part. I loved both books, but there were quite a few similarities if you read them back to back. I stilled loved it. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the Daddy part. I just feel very uncomfortable hearing someone call their lover Daddy. But that's just me. I would still highly recommend this first book in the new series and will definitely read the next one out. Very dark, hot, and suspenseful book.

Carter and Evangeline's story is so very dark, so very twisted and so very GOOD!
I don't know how she does it but every time I start a new Isabella Starling book I am thrown into a story that makes me cringe, make me uncomfortable and she makes me love it!!!
I won't give anything away but you need to read this story and I can't wait for the next in this series.

Just WOW!!! This book was a fantastic hot taboo dark read and I absolutely loved Carter's dark dominant side,you will hate him and then maybe love him I did.Evangeline is so innocent with a very upsetting past that we learn all the secrets as we get deeper into the book from both characters.The plot of the story was so well written and just perfect and the characters were amazing and it makes you feel everything.This is very highly recommended if you like the dark side.I voluntarily read a readers copy of this book

Carter, what can I say? Other than I want to be a fragile doll... I love strong Alpha males, even when they are molded in ways we may or may not comprehend. I want to be a doll. It's better feeling something or nothing at all. For me, I become these characters while reading the POV's.

Evangeline isn't a very strong character; she seems wishy-washy to me, but she was exactly what Carter wanted, so there's that. I think the book was trying to have some surprises and twists, but they weren't surprising to me (and I'm not THAT good at predicting). I'd read more by this author when in the mood for this genre.

Cater never really say Evangeline as just his toy, he always felt something more for her. She was finally able to see the truth in what caused her so much hurt and in the end found her happiness with Carter. Highly recommend this book!!!

Wow, Empire Sin is going to be an awesome series. Isabella did it again. This book was beautifully written in Isabella style. With a twist you would not see coming. Once you start you don't want to stop reading because you want to see what is going to happen. Poor Evangeline had a rough life. Her stepdad sold her to Carter. She is his new toy until he get's tired of her. Evangeline has her own hidden agenda. You def. need to read this book to see what happens with Carter/Evangeline.

Honestly my moral compass must be broken because the naughtier and darker a book is the more I want to keep reading! And Vengeance brought it all to the table! From the first chapter I just couldn't put this book down and I didn't until the last sentence!

Another 5 star read from my favourite author. I'm baffled how she can make you fall so hard for a character who you should loathe, but Carter can add himself to the collection of Isa's men who I have fell completely in love with. This story kept me intrigued the whole way through. Little mysteries that kept niggling throughout and when they were revealed in the end made so much sense. As always the sex scenes in this book were hot as hell. Take a bow Isabella Starling are there any ends to your talents? Bring in the next Empire Sin instalment....

She sells herself and her virginity to get that chance. When all is revealed, she has to decide whether to destroy him or give up her idea of vengeance. Great book. Very Dark, like her books tend to be. Can't wait for the next in the series!!

OMG, this book was simply amazing. It was hot, sexy, loaded in drama and real life scenarios. This book is the first book in a series of 7, and Isabella is off to an amazingly great start. This book does have its dark elements but its based on real life events. It can break your heart but it also will leave you happy. I definitely recommend this book.

Revenge is a dish best served steaming hot and twisted. This book is so delightfully wrong in all the best ways. It is full of intrigue, dark secrets and ultimate betrayals. When Carter and Angel realize their obsession is rooted in love there is nothing they won't do for each other. The fact that this is Book 1 in Isabella's 7 book Empire Sin series is a promise for more dark and dirty fun yet to come.

What a great read. This is dark, alpha romance at its best. This story had it all: hot, steamy sex, strong male and female characters and enough angst to make the pages turn quick. Carter and Evangeline both have their own agenda, but even though he bought her for his sex toy, feelings and chemistry explode and the relationship consumes them both. This was a great read that I highly recommend.

WOW! Just wow! I don't know how Isabella does it but she just does!

This is one twisted, dark tale that you must read! This is one of those books that you just keep flipping the pages to see what happens next. I couldn't put this book down and you probably won't either.

I am really surprised that I couldnt connect with the characters in this book. Isabella usually can crank out a good read that makes me want to keep going even after I have hit the last page but not with this one.

Isabella Starling makes me fall in love with her books and character with every book. This book is about how to get your revenge but has dark twist and turns. I couldn't put this book down. It has became one of my favorite and I can't wait for the rest of the Empire Sin books.

Poor Evangeline and her circumstances broke my heart. The intimacy was top notch, super sexy. Definitely needed a change of undies! The love story between the unlikely pairing was beautiful.. This is totally a 5 star read...

Loved this story! The chemistry between Carter and Evangeline is palpable, and the sex, OMG, unbelievably hot and dirty. The constant use of the word daddy wasn't really my thing, but definitely played into the premise of the book and it was still a good enough story for me to overlook it
