Fatal Mistake (The Fatal Series Book 6)

I enjoyed reading Marie Force's first book and was looking forward to reading more of her books. For some reason, I couldn't get into this storyline and truthfully, I didn't finish the book. I might one day when I run out of books to read. Oh well, not every book can be awesome.

I have just this minute finished Force's newest Fatal. I absolutely enjoyed it and anxiously await the next installment. I hope she writes 40 of them. Sam and Nick remind make me wish Suzanne Enoch had made more of her series with Sam and Rick and of course there is the inevitable comparison to Robb' s Eve and Roarke in her In Death series. Pretty lofty company. Force is missing the witty repartee found between Eve and her partner Peabody, and the In Death series is much darker, edgier, but Baby in Fatal, the sex is HOT and yes broached acts not legal in some states.
Despite the good, not great, story and the HOT sex, this novel felt like it was marching in place. The characters did not advance, did not grow, not appreciably unless you count branching out sexually.
I love this series. I will buy the next one and the next. This one was a little disappointing......but not enough to stop me from reading it again.....probably right now......and while I'm here I think I'll preorder Time for Love.

I have read this whole series and loved every book. This one did not disappoint. Sam and Nick are great caricatures that I find so interesting. I hope this series goes on forever. I am a big fan of Marie Force. I have read almost all of her books, my only complaint is that I can't wait for the next book!!

This is the best series ever..........Its the only series I read. I buy every book as soon as it comes out. The characters (the list of characters grow every book) are well written and the action is always top notch. I like the addition of the adopted son, it makes a great change of dynamics in the story.

Marie Force is a very engaging writer and she doesn't disappoint in this 6th instalment. The chemistry between Nick and Sam jumps off the pages - but in a good way. Their romance does not take away from the criminal aspects of the storyline, Force is able to balance both worlds quite well and keep her readers engaged. I'm already craving Book Seven!!!!!

Once again, Marie captures my attention with her writing and depth of characters. There are some 'darker' parts of this book that could be difficult to read through. However, Marie does a good job of not dwelling on the bad stuff and moving the book along with the characters. So worth reading.

What is next for this little family.... can't wait to keep reading
I enjoyed the book, but is was a really fast read - I couldn't believe how quickly I got through it, now I have to patiently wait for the next book.

The only reason I held back from the 5 stars was due to some of the graphic intimacy details - each book takes this up a notch and not sure that it adds that much to the story.

Noticed a big difference on one of the characters from Book 5. Arnie Patterson changed to Arnie Parsons.

I love that Sam and Nick are finally parents. You get to see that side of Sam that she keeps hidden, her vulnerable side. My favorite part was Lt. Stahl getting what comes to him. It would be an interesting twist if he somehow paid someone to shoot Sam's dad.

Please don't make us wait another year for the next book. I think I would lose my mind.

Just love the characters of Nick and Sam. Marie Force brings them to life with her imaginative, cohesive writing. Sam and Nick are equals in every way. I fell in love with these characters in the first book, and they have grown and developed throughout the series.

I have been absolutely hooked on these books since the very first one. I love the love and devotion between Nick and Sam. How they attack the problems in their lives are very believable. All of the characters are well developed and I actually feel like I could carry on a conversation with any of them. The complete series is well balanced and leaves the reader wanting more. I can hardly wait to see what happens next.

I am so disappointed that I finished this book. It was the best in the series so far. It has kept me guessing right to the end. If you have not read this series you should
start right now. I blushed a few times, but the story line kept me reading.

Marie Force has done it again!!! You just want to fall in love with Sam and Nick!!! Who wouldn't want mystery with a little spice. I have read a lot of her books. I loved everyone and wanting to read more.

Sam and Nick! Words escape me to describe how much I love this couple and their lives. Throw in all the other great characters and their great stories, add a cute kid to the mix, and a gripping mystery that keeps you guessing and I have reading nirvana! Thank you Marie Force!

Newest book in the series of 6... Fabulous characters... interesting story lines... I enjoyed every page. Hard to put down this book as it is an easy read. I can't wait for the next book. Read the Fatal series in order for the full effect. Well worth the money!

I really like the characters and they carry this story, more so than in other books in the series. These are people I would like to know personally, full of passion and integrity. And this author keeps the price down, which makes the decision to buy so much easier.

I love the new contemporary series that so mirrors the In Death Series. A strong female cop with a rich successful husband who loves her enough to be faithful and considers her a equal partner in the marriage. The strong relationships they have with there respective staff's who are co-mingleing the fact that they have brought a child into the marriage is wonderful in the way they are supporting and helping him grow into a beautiful person. Looking forward to many more of her books in this series.

This 6th in the amazing series leaves you wanting MORE!
I hope Marie has started #7. I want to see a baby for Nick and Sam. Want to see Nick in the White House.
Want to see Sam's dad walking again. So sorry I read it in a day, because now I have to wait for more.

I really like the Fatal series and will complete it, however I feel that they are beginning to read more like a romance novel and I really am not into those. I like the Genre of police stories along with a strong capable woman in the lead.

Nothing better than a Marie Force book and this one finds disappoint! Nick and Sam are great together and their lives are constantly evolving right before our eyes. The mystery was intriguing and kept you guessing to the end. Highly recommended.

I like Marie Force's easy to read writing style. I appreciate the enjoyment given me through the many overlapping plots utilizing characters I've come to know through the earlier books in this series.

Love Marie's writing...she is such a excellent writer and story teller...From her Fatal Series,Treading Water Series and Gansett Island Series are all excellent...I've just started reading her stand alone books, Georgia on my Mind and it did not disappoint....

Way to go Marie!!!! Fatal Mistake knocked it out of the park!!! This whole series is awesome!!! I have turned so many of my friends on to Marie's writing and they have fallen in love with her just like me. The only problem is we now have to wait until March 2014 for the next Sam & Nick installment but it will be WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!

I love, love ,love the Fatal series. Each book is its own mystery while the main characters are continually moving along and growing. I think all the characters are likable if not lovable. I always look forward to the next book.

I have read the complete series and am waiting for the next one to come out. The character development is well thought out and the writer makes you feel like they are someone you know. The story line keeps you coming back.

I love this series. Ms Force grabs your attention from this start and leave waiting impatiently for the next book to come out. Love Sam and Nick's story. Am never bored with the fast paced series!! Can't wait for the next book.

I've read the entire series. It's "light" reading for me, very easy to read in a day or two. It doesn't require deep thinking like some other books...great for the beach or pool! I find myself looking for more.

Wow once again Marie Force out did herself again. Fatal mistake was outstanding and kept me on my toes trying to figure out who did this murder. Can't wait til book seven comes out in 2014. I'm glad there will be more bout Nick and Sam
