The information (too detailed some times)lets you know the origin of many ideas by which we live today...where fundamental texts as the Bible come from. THIS ALLOWS ME to choose: let the past shape the present or empower and escape from the ideas that capture the eternal present..... the only moment that exists.....

Helped me to better understand some of the passages in the Bible which have troubled me for my entire life. At the same time Sitchen's books confirmed that the Bible is basically a historical account of the Jews.

Being an avid prophecy student myself, I have read most if not all of Zecharia Sitchin's books, ending with his 2006 contribution, The End of Days. The 12th Planet, his first book in this vein, was impressive; I ordered all the rest his books then available. As I read them in the order Sitchin prescribed, I found them equally scholarly, somewhat repetitive (not a criticism, as his theory is hard to follow), but increasingly confusing, and moreover, distressing; I didn't read them all, they were so upsetting. Even with this last book there is no satisfactory conclusion; certainly more contorted questions raised than contorted answers provided, and I find a growing sense of self-directed cultism in looking to this writer to provide reliable answers or even hope for the future based on Sitchin's presentations. What is most annoying is the total inability of myself and any but the most learned, insightful, privileged and well-traveled scholar to refute Sitchen's interpretation of ancient artifacts. He mentions in passing Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all Christianity; but fails to even link this known god to the panoply of gods from another planet in which he asks us to believe. He quotes selectively from Daniel, but fails by omission of the "stone cut without hands" prophecy concerning the end of days, to make the obvious connection to the return of the 12th planet, Nibiru, about which nothing would be known but for Sitchin. For myself, I'll stick to inspired biblical prophecy and the God I know.

I have read almost every book of Mr. Sitchin. The problem from my point of view is that it presents not certainties but hypothesis. It is just another point of view about the eternal question of humankind: where are we comming from. For me is hard to understand how could a "civilisation' capable of reaching other planets to live in brickhouses. Maybe some knowledge was indeed available to them but maybe the sun depicted on old clay tablets it's just the sun.

Just kidding. We still have some time left. In all seriousness this is a great read. Very informative. A must for anyone interested in the other side of the story of how mankind began, why he's here, and where he's headed.

Zacharia once again reminds us of our origins. The majority of this book is a summation of his previous books with the last few chapters being new material. This book and The Lost Book of Enki are must reads for anyone wanting to know how our history is repeating itself and what is expected next.

A big disappointment! The book was not displayed for its size which is about the size of my hand, making the text minuscule and difficult to read. With so much information and detail being explained by the author this book in this small format gets not even 1 star! A waste of money and the fuel/carbon impact and costs to fly this book to the other side of the planet! Admittedly, my fault for not looking at the details of size, but really the store?! You can do better than this.

This information is sold as fact, but in fact all of Sitchins translations have been double checked and proven to be wrong. Too bad I didn't find that out till after buying his books. I wish I could return them all.

After traveling in Peru, Bolivia and Central America I realized that there are far more mysteries there than answers. Archaeologists have uncovered only very small portion of the ruins there. Evidence of advanced technology, particularly at Tiwanaku, is tantalizing. All the references to these sites in Sitchin's books I saw with my own eyes. That gives him real credibility. I know of no "expert" who disputes his facts, only his conclusions.

Sitchin's gift is his ability to tie together information from diverse disciplines like linguistics, astronomy and ancient texts. He shows clear examples of how they are in agreement that have not been previously mentioned. This points to explanations that sometimes diverge from what is academically accepted. Conventional archeology is increasingly straining too hard to incorporate recent discoveries in its narrative. New scientific disciplines may soon push the envelope into a revolution in our concept of history. When that happens I suspect they will find that Sitchen was on the right path already.

I don't agree with everything Sitchin writes, but do appreciate this book's synthesis of knowledge. It is thought provoking and well written. Unless you've read some of his previous books it may be difficult to grasp his overall concept. I highly recommend it.

Most of this places are comparable in earth and the studies describes that more than one had interest to understand how religions are taking places in the mind of the people

The book arrived on time and in great condition. The book itself is bizarre. Sitchin appears to be normal, well-read and intelligent but his suppositions are presented as fact, yet seem made-up and silly. Possibly to enjoy this book as either fact or extroadinary fiction one would need to read his other books prior to this one.

Majority of book was just a rehash of his previous writings in the Earth Chronicles series...the last couple of chapters are all that is slightly new material...and don't worry, there's still a long time until the 'end of days'...

The real tragedy of this book is that even though it is a piece of apocalyptic fiction, readers may credit it as a valid introduction to the Ancient Near East. Instead, I would hope that readers may consult any of the myriad of publications addressing the Ancient Near East published by one of the 50 top universities for archaeology organizations. The claim that Mr. Sitchin is "one of a handful of scholars able to read the Sumerian cuneiform tablets" is simply laughable and ignores at least several hundred scholars who work with Sumerian (one of many languages written in cuneiform) every day.
