Relaxing entertainment, humorous adventure. Unexpectedly, the international spy absurdity works and I will read more of the series. Love a book that's written to draw me into the location with vivid descriptions.

Gilman is a talented writer in setting the stage for well developed characters. You see the plains of Zambia, feel the gritty sand and the herds of impalas as they run in front of the group. Enough suspense to keep you guessing! and the return of a beloved character from the first book in the series - John Sebastian Ferrell!

I like Mrs. Pollifax's ingenuity and uninhibited, unabashed courage and sense of adventure. I also like Dorothy Gilman's style of writing as she keeps us guessing about what is coming next sprinkled with wittiness and good humor. I just completed book five in the series and I'm ready for book six! This series are good reads!

Very enjoyable, entertaining, and fast paced. Read it straight through. Just enough humor to keep it from being dark, enough intrigue to keep it interesting. Looking forward to reading more of the Mrs. Pollifax series.

all of D. Gilman s stories about Emily's exploits are wonderful but this one is one of the best. The descriptions of the Turkish landscape are compelling and the people emily picks up are fascinating. I would like to get a copy MRS Pollifax and the Lion Killer, but it doesn't seem to be available on kindle.
