Living Buddha, Living Christ is one of my top ranked "spiritual" books. Hanh does a very excellent job of explaining the
beautiful and amazing unity of Buddhism and Christianity....very deep and insightful. He also is able to express
what Christianity is all about even more deeply and better than a number of Christian writers which in and of itself
demonstrates how our spiritual selves are more alike than different in nature....a real wake up call for all of us!
I believe we are more alike than different and like Hahn I also participate in religious disciplines other than my own
and find it very satisfying and quite the "gift".

If you want to see the correspondences between Christian and Buddhist teachings, this little book is a gentle and wise place to start. Thich Nhat Hanh is gifted with the ability to discover the parallel truths in both traditions, to cite scriptures to illustrate them, and to develop related ideas to help them become relevant. While I read this book, thought, "If there's someone who has recently discovered the Buddhist path, and whose family is upset at his or her apparent 'abandonment' of the Christianity she or he was raised in, this would be a good book for that person to share. The threats are removed and the promises made apparent.

I love reading about other faiths. I find them interesting. I am currently reading this book and I am finding that his words are helping me understand my faith (Christianity) better. Any book by Thich Nhat Hanh is worth the read.

I originally purchased this book to help develop a better understanding of Buddhism because my young daughter started going to a budhist school. The school program is wonderful and now after reading the book I know the common ground between Christianity and Buddhism. I am one of many people that go to the Catholic Church but lack a connection. This book is a great introduction to what it means to be a Buddhist and gives you the desire to implement some of the daily practices in your life while strengthening your Christian faith.

It is concise, simple and straight forward from cover to cover. This is a book for Christians to understand Buddhism. Its a book for Buddhists to understand Christianity. Its also a book for Buddhists to better understand Buddhism and for Christians to better understand Christianity. Inspiring, uplifting and motivational for both Buddhists and Christians. A must read book.

There were very few new concepts in this book, but I finished the book anyway. It was good enough to complete compared to some of the other books I've been reading lately like "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. https://www.the store.com/gp/product/1577314808/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've seen this book around forever, it seems. It's 20 years old. I finally put it in my cart and bought. If you're interested at all in the intersection between Christianity, Buddhism, Jesus, Buddha, Jesus as Gods Christ, etc., you'll appreciate this classic. If you just want words of encouragement that speak to all people, you'll like it, too.

I have studied this parallel in the past, and was very absorbed in this newest book about those parallels between Buddha and Jesus. I am also a huge fan of Thich Nhat Hanh, so I knew this book was already going to be good. It is fascinating to see the overlapping thoughts and words of each, and how applicable both are in our lives.
