The author has improved his writing substantially since his first book, and we loved Adventurers Wanted, Book One: Slothbog's Gold. I recommend this book to any teenager and adult that want to read good, clean fiction.

Young wizard-in-training Alex Taylor is asked to join a second adventure with some familiar friends and new. The kingdom of Norsland is threatened by war when the current king is challenged for the throne. The only way to prove the rightful heir to the throne is the Horn of Moran, which can only be used by the true king. But the horn has been lost. So, Alex and his small band of adventurers must journey through an enchanted forest and frozen wastelands, face a horde of goblins, and brave the mysterious guardians of the Tower of the Moon to find the legendary horn and prove the rightful heir.
The second novel in the Adventurers Wanted trilogy, The Horn of Moran follows Alex on another quest in a foreign land of magic and fantastic creatures. Friends from Alex's previous adventure are joined by a couple new adventurers, Val being the most mysterious and a new elf friend who bonds quickly with Alex. Alex is a humble yet confident young man, growing in his magical powers and is always open to learning and doing the right thing. He is incredibly giving and honest. And while some of the characters the adventurers meet along the way are evil, the generous and selfless races of magical creatures put the human characters to shame. The morality of good versus evil is evident and wholesomeness makes for an easy recommendation for any young reader.
Though marketed for middle readers, the fun, fast-paced adventure will appeal to all ages - even adults. This quest-based fantasy is ripe with intriguing characters and an exciting, action-packed story. I enjoyed this installment just as much as the first. Mystery, suspense, magic, and light-hearted humor makes The Horn of Moran impossible to resist.

The Book 2 in Adventurers Wanted series.
I liked it. I enjoyed it. I...
A new adventure. Some new friends. New discoveries.
Some six months later of his first adventure, Alex decides to go for a new adventure... and now is a Wizard in training.
The quest is about the long lost Horn of Moran which was apparently lost by the heir of the land. On the quest the party learns that there is some other dark play in action which is hurting the land. The quest is sponsored by the ruling king of he land.
But like all others, a quest is not simple. The party had to face some mythical creatures, and with the path shadowed by evil, betrayal at the end. This quest is more on friendship, hardships, promises and trust.

I was so excited to read the second Adventurers Wanted Book right after the first. I really appreciate that each quest is self contained even though it helps to read them in order. Alex's character continues to develop and it's exciting to see how he matures on his adventures and his interactions with his fellow travelers. The dark characters seem more evil this time and I'm hoping this will be as dark as it gets. I think there are some great lessons for our times in this volume dealing with traitors and political conflicts. All's well that ends well and please hurry and write more!

Wow another action packed adventure, Alex just keeps getting deeper into being a Wizard, in fact the best wizard in a thousand years. Of course this does come with a price but Alex is will to pay. Magic, evil, danger, long quests are all part of the adventure. Alex finds he is on his way to becoming a billionaire. I cannot in good conscience reveal even a small bit of this adventure as I want you to read it for yourself. Enjoy.

The first book, Slathbog's Gold, was...okay, I guess. A little too much like Lord of the Rings. However, The Horn of Moran was WAY better!! This one was way more creative! Some characters from the first book are back, along with two very new and interesting characters. Alex is now a wizard in training, and goes on an adventure to seek The Horn of Moran, which will prevent a war and determine who is the true king. There's goblin armies, gryphons, a sphynx, centuars, brownis, a return of an old shadowy enemy, and lots of treasure to find. Alex has become much more powerful and cunning in this book, making him seem almost unstoppable. However, there's still the mysterious ring that Alex found in the first book and even in this book no one can tell him what it does. Hopefully the third book will go into much further detail about this, and be just as epic (or more) than this book.

The Adventurers Wanted series is a new fantasy series that follows the adventures of Alex Taylor. In the next book in the series, The Horn of Moran, Alex reunites with some of his old friends from his last adventure, as well as meets some new faces. This new adventure presents a bigger challenge than his last one did: Two men are claiming the throne to the land of Alusia, and the only thing that can determine the true king, the Horn of Moran, has been lost. Unless it is found and returned, a civil war may break out. Alex and his friends will journey to Norseland, where the Horn was last said to have been seen. Not only are they in a race against time and in a battle against the elements, but this band of adventurers will come face to face with goblins, griffins, and a deadly sphinx.
I admit, I wasn't too impressed with the first book in the series, Slathbog's Gold. Even though the story had interesting ideas and fun characters, the story's plot reminded me too much of The Hobbit. However, I was extremely pleased with how The Horn of Moran turned out. The author M.L. Forman has shown great imagination in creating plot twists and building friendship between the characters. The wise choices of Alex and his friends are also to be praised, as they could have easily gone a different road, but chose not to. If there's anyone who has a deep love for fantasy stories, I say you should add this book to your collection. I look forward to reading more books from the Adventurers Wanted series.

When I read the first book I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I am a little impartial. This book was a little hard for me to grasp at first because I have a hard time learning new characters, but the author does a really good job at keeping the reader's attention. When I read the first book I thought it would take me forever. This book is not like those books it surprised me how good a read it was. I have recommended this book to all of my friends and the only one that hasn't read it was one person that wants to read it in a complete series. I think this book is a good read for anyone that has a hard time imagining the extraordinary can happen to the ordinary. I loved it more than the Harry Potter series.

Great for nap time, except the kids will never let me stop reading. No swearing, great friendships, good morals and virtuous characters. And a little magical butt whoopin'. All around good times. Also recommend the 1st and 3rd book in series. So far the kids have made me read the first one3 times.

This book starts off where book one ends. I loved book one and eagerly waited for this book. It did not disappoint and was fantastic throughout the entire book. It was a home run for me. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting a good read

This book was amazing. The book stars off with Alex getting a letter from Bregnest asking for Alex's help on adventure for his cousin on the way he will attend a wedding, meet a Watcher, fight thieves, goblins and see a mysterious tower. This is a great book and would really hope that other people will like this as much as I have.

I really enjoy this series. The characters are very likeable. I love it, my husband loves it, and my 11 year old son LOVES it! The only bad thing about it is that it will take too long to until the next book comes out!

This second book was just as thrilling as the first. A very satisfactory read. I was swept along with the characters as Alex learned more about his abilities and the responsibilities that come with them.

This was just a really awesome book. Great for many ages. I especially like this magic series so far because there r only a few wizards. that makes any wizard very special. I say this series rivals even HARRY POTTER!
