I love paranormal romances...and this book has a lot of what I love. The battles, the heat, the anxiousness, and more. The main character, Evalle, is strong and doesn't put up with anything shoved her way. Yet she has her weaknesses but she tries her hardest to rely on herself, and not others, to get through them. There are two males in this book that she leans towards which kind of reminds me of the Janet Evanovich-Plum series. It also has some great humor and some very interesting characters. If you're looking for a book that will draw you in and take you for a ride - on your own without the help of someone else - this series is for you! Can't wait for the next one!

Man I enjoyed this story line! Dianna Love and Sherrilyn Kenyon came together yet again and created a completely different society with charachters and a story line that was entertaining, quirky, and intriguing. The only drawback is the fact that this is book 1 in the series and the others are not ready yet. If you like a good paranormal or fantasy series you will enjoy the interaction with Beladors. Oh and if you love Gargoyles you will fall in love with Feenix "dammit".
I can't wait for the next installment!!!

As they have done for centuries, the Belador protect humans from the others like demons. However, the Belador are not a tolerant species as half-breed Evalle Kincaid knows s first hand; being a scorned outsider by those she has lived with all her life. In fact, Evalle knows most of the tribe would prefer her dead or locked away as a half-breed is distrustful worthless trash and she more so as her heritage is unknown.

A demon attacks and claims a young woman. With no one else to blame, the tribe points at Evalle as a convenient scapegoat. Now she must prove her innocence knowing a clans person set her up and betrayed the tribe. At the same time Atlanta burns as rumor flies of an ancient powerful magical artifact surfacing. While her former tribe mates chase her in the underground of Atlanta, Evalle must prevent the day of reckoning that will begin the end of days for humans and Beladorans if demons obtains the magical stone before she possesses it and finds someplace safe to leave it.

The opening to the world of Belador is an exhilarating romantic urban (and rural) fantasy that makes this new realm seem real especially the interweaving in Utah and Atlanta. The story line contains several subplots that come together into a delightful cohesive tale though at times can be slowed down with the depth of this realm created by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love. Still with a strong cast especially the beleaguered outcast who has to save the world before she can save herself, fans will enjoy this terrific saga.

The first in the Belador series, I read this with mixed feelings at the start.Evalle a Belador halfling, walks a fine line in keeping her freedom. She searches for her history and trying to get over her past, tolerated but not fully accepted she works with viper to protect humanity from the things that lurk in the dark.
There is alot of room for character development as the story progresses and I look forward to the next book in the series.

I was really looking forward to reading this book and, despite not needing another series to follow because I read wayyyyy to many, I was very happy with this book. It started off a little slow for me, but I am positive that is because I had so much going on in my personal life and everytime I sat down to read I just couldn't focus for very long. When I finally started getting into the book I couldn't put it down. I wanted Evalle to kick some ass. I lusted for Quinn, Storm, and Vyan. I ADORED Feenix to pieces, he was so cute! I don't think there is anything about the book that I can really say I didn't like except for that it ended and the next one isn't out yet! Why! LOL!

It is a fresh new series from two fantastic authors. A wonderful mythology built up and a very intriguing cast of characters. I can't wait for the next one.

I initially bought this book simply because the cover caught my eye. Stupid reason I know but it turned out that the book was everything that was promised and more. I very nearly lost my job because I had such a hard time putting this book down. Lol! But I didnt thank god. Anyway I very eagerly await the next books in this series.

Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love have hit one out of the park with this series. Blood Trinity is non-stop action, keen suspense and characters who won't let go of you.

Readers who like paranormal and fantasy elements--and I mean readers across urban fantasy, thriller and suspense genres--and, yes, romance-- will find a book they can't put down. This urban fantasy is a step outside Kenyon and Love's normal romance genre, and I was worried I wouldn't like it, but as a romance reader, I absolutely LOVE this book! The characters are irresistible, from Evalle, Tzader and Quinn, to two of the best surprises in the book--Feenix and Storm. It's not a romance, but I was hanging on every nuance of the love interests in this story, and this die-hard romance reader is already wishing for the next one.

Great world, wonderful characters, killer plot. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Kenyon-Love team is one of the best things to happen to fiction in a long time. I was ready for something fresh which did not follow the same old pattern. This is it.

Don't hesitate. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to the buy button and get this book. You won't be sorry.

Finally we have a kick-ass heroine in Urban Fantasy that is cool as hell! Evalle Kincaid is gorgeous as she is deadly! I devoured this book and was secretly wishing the hot men in this book were devouring me!

The Belador series aren't the most well-written or thought-provoking books, but they are the kind of fast-moving books with characters just interesting enough to keep you turning pages. Great for a fast summer read!

I do get fed up with authors that start spreading themselves too thin. I get deep into their regular story line and the characters, who is who, and how this person relates to that person, etc. Then they start yet a 2nd (or 3rd!) line of books and I completely lose track of what's happening, or who everyone is in the original story line because it takes FOREVER for the author to get back to the original line of books.
I know I read this book. I think I still have it at home...somewhere. I even read the description offered here, but darned if I can remember anything about this story so it must not have made that much of an impression. Oh well.

Other reviews would have already covered the synopsis - so I'll leave my review short and sweet.

"Blood Trinity" will have a grip on your attention that will be relentless. At the end of the book you will be satisfied with the conclusive wrap-up of Book 1 and salivating for Book 2. The authors gave us just enough backstory on the characters to have an understanding of their personal motivations and whet our appetite to learn more about them. I received this book as part of a goody bag at FeverCon not realizing it was an advance copy. After reading Book 1 I immediately logged onto Dianna Love's website eager to find out the release of Book 2 only to find that "Blood Trinity" hadn't been released at the bookstores, yet. I was impatient to write a review touting this enthralling collabritive success of 2 authors whose works I'd not read prior to "Blood Trinity" but, had to wait until after the book release date. Thank you to the authors' publisher for allowing the FeverCon attendees to read the advance copy of this book. I highly recommend this book to anybody who enjoys the Urban Fanatasy/Paranormal Suspense genre.

A must read! Kenyon and Love have created a wonderfully complex mythology to fuel this new series. The fast pacing, fascinating ongoing characters, and the well developed story line had me flipping pages well into the night. I just couldn't put it down

My only disapppointment with this new series is that I have to wait for the second one to be released!

I enjoyed this book, but as a lifelong resident of Atlanta for almost 50 years, I could not figure out the time period when this is set. It reads as though it is current to the time it's written, but some of the places referenced are not around any more. The mention of the Fulton County Stadium really threw me, as it was imploded in 1997.

As long as I didn't really try to match up the city details with the story, this was a fun read.

Two authors collaborating on a single book can either produce something extraordinary as in the case of all the Ilona Andrews books or something truly abysmal as in the case of BLOOD TRINITY.

Oh wow is this book a mess. Two authors apparently means no editor. The writing is clunky and extremely redundant. Did these authors not communicate at all? It's almost as if they each wrote this story and instead of editing the best parts from each into a single book, they just shuffled the scenes together so that every bit of information gets relayed twice, or even three times:

"...She'd have to come up with a believable reason for taking off to meet [name omitted] by four thirty, which was only a few hours away.

And before that she needed to come up with a reason why her aura wasn't human. Luckily [name omitted]'s phone had buzzed less than a heartbeat after his declaration that her aura didn't appear human. She had no idea what it'd been about, but it'd caused him to excuse himself and take off immediately.

She had a couple hours to come up with some way to explain her nonhuman aura." -BLOOD TRINITY pg. 218

And the whole book is like that. Worse still, it's totally confusing. in 500+ pages the basic world is never explained. What's a Belador? Couldn't tell you. What's an Alternant? Not real clear on that either. Maybe all of that got explained in the super secret novella that was released in 2008 but no where alluded to in this book?

Beyond the embarrassing writing, the book was a mess of clichéd characters and mismatched mythology. BLOOD TRINITY opens with a cool introduction and bonding between three supernatural characters: Evalle, a mutt Alterant (half Belador, half ?) and two full Beladors. I assumed theses three would be the leads in the book. Nope. Evalle is the protagonist but the other two get relegated to tiny mental phone calls and maybe one or two actual scenes. Maybe they'll be getting their own books in this series.

I thought at least I'd get a good romance out of BLOOD TRINITY, I mean this is a Sherrilyn Kenyon book. Wrong again. The only positive thing I can say about this book is that the plot never drags. There are plenty of supernatural action scenes that inject some much needed life into this otherwise totally botched paranormal thriller. More books are planned for this series starting with EVE OF DESCTRUCTION in Fall 2011. I can only hope they get better.

Sexual Content: References to rape. Kissing.

I have enjoyed most of Sherlyn Kenyon's other books as well as her other collaborations. I just felt this book was very disjointed from the beginning. I appreciate they are beginning a new series but they xpect the reader to understand the characterisics of these new species. WHile there is some character development... they could have fleshed them out more thoroughly.

I adore Sherrilyn Kenyon, but Blood Trinity was a disappoitment. While the main character had potential, there was no depth or development of the other characters or her relationships. The novel felt flat, focusing more on creating a new world and setting up characters for future novels. I actually put the book down several times and re-read four other books before going back to finish Blood Trinity because I didn't really care about any of the characters or conflicts - which all seemed contrived and conveniently resolved.

I refuse to believe that Sherrilyn Kenyon contributed anything but her name and editing skills to this book. This is the second one I have attempted to read the was a collaboration between her and Dianna Love. There is only one main character. 500+ about one person seems a bit much and the suspense was NOT there. Evalle's most apparent love interest does not show up until p 115 which by-the-way was only 4 hours from the start of the book.
EX. The book begins at 3am-ish and she meets him in a meeting at 7am. The most interesting part of the 1st 100 pages was a mercenary's "wicked" six-shooter. How many times does an author have to beat a reader over the head with how horrible Evalle's childhood was, but give no details. How abhorrent her being an Alterrant is, no details. Everything was lacking in this book...character construction, action, suspense, romance (being kissed on pg 332 doesn't count--the man is enthralled with how she smells!!! PLEASE! What is this? An Axe commercial.) The book could have been condensed down to 200-250 pages and would have flowed much better. The reader doesn't need to know every move made in the 4 day period this book covers. Cut the fat!

This series is such an obvious and inferior rip off of L. A. Banks' vampire series i could not finish reading it! L.A. Banks was raw which is why it was so fresh. This series is over thought and predictable.
