I picked up BRUKR on the Kindle Unlimited Program and here I thought I caught an early release. . . Nope, already over 170 reviews up on this story. So Brukr is a Preor Dragon Warrior, working to help protect human Hannah, and in the process falls for her. He lives by his honor yet deals with his past cowardness, something he's still fighting to overcome.

I do wonder where the Emperor is while the Preor are dealing with earth. Why isn't he arriving and finding his own mate?

Hannah is paying for her father's deeds each and every day. She also has a past, she's tried to outrun it, yet it's always coming back. And I assume that one guy called Eric was killed? Tossed in space means he may bounce back. . . Because controlling men have back up plans and always pop back up. It's almost expected.

The banter between Hannah and Brukr was what drove this story. Despite dealing with earth for a couple of years, the big brawny dragon warriors are still clueless. Brukr's trying to make sense of earth's common expressions was endearing. The grunting. Comparing notes with other warriors to be sure they understand. . . And the typical answer, "Fine" -- How right he was that 'fine' doesn't always mean fine.

The story was a budding romance, choices, and stepping up. Brukr and Hannah didn't have it easy and their coming together was wonderful. - Dan's Wife

Hannah is a spokeswoman for Cole-Draven. Her job is to encourage women with Pol's mutation to seek medical treatment from the Preor. She however refuses to have her Pol Mutation fixed. She is afraid that the genetic modification will wipe out her previous genetic work. Hannah is in hiding from a situation in her childhood and she is under witness protection. If people find out who she is, it will be a nightmare and she will have to move away and hide again.
Brukr is a favored Preor warrior who is said to have saved the king's life. Everyone thinks Brukr is a hero except him. He feels that he was a coward and dishonorable that day with the king. He believes that there is no mate for him. He has strong feelings for Hannah but the knowing hasn't appeared. Then one day, the secrets of Hannah come to life and her life is in danger. To save her from moving and leaving him behind, Brukr claims her as his mate. Now the two mates have to learn to live together.
I always love Celia Kyle and her Preor dragons story. Brukr has a lot of issues in his past he needs to see in a different light. He really cares for Hannah and gives up his chance for a mate with the knowing to protect Hannah. Hannah is a strong women with an awful past. She deserves the love of Brukr. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

It is great to immerse oneself back into this world where aliens and humans *somewhat* co-exist and help each other.

I love the way this story is a part of a continuing story of these aliens that come to Earth, fix all the damage that we have done to our planet, and have hunky men that need mates. I love how they treat females, not only their mates, but every female is cherished to them.

Sometimes both men and women, only see one side of a story, and not always the good side. They don't always realize that by just being the awesome person that they are, that they have so much to offer others. It is great when people are able to hold that mirror up to people and show them what good they have done, not just their own perceived failures.

Celia Kyle, aka Erin Tate, writes fantastic stories that are easy to read, have depth and character, but also show that WE, simple beings, may have something to offer the world and others, that we may not see ourselves. She includes a wide range of emotions, along with a outstanding sense of humor. I love the snarkiness that is in her books. My husband always knows when I am reading one of her books because there is always random bursts of laughter and I have to share with him what is going on in the book.

Thank you Celia and keep up the great work!

Oh, those sexy Preor dragon-shifters! Brukr is the latest in the Third Fleet to find his human female mate - but it wasn't easy! Hannah is 1) a secret fugitive, 2) sick with Pol Mutation, which will eventually kill her, and 3) VERY mistrustful. Worse, no matter how much Brukr wants her as a mate, the Knowing, the indicator of a true Preor mating, has not happened for them. If he claims her anyway, he will never sire dragonlets - which is the point of mating in the first place. Plus, Brukr has a little issue of his own: he's not the honorable male everyone thinks he is. Funny how Hannah and Brukr are really very similar, in that their main obstacle to happiness is their own distorted self-perceptions. Still, Preor and friends of the Preor alike give them the support they need to burn the bad guys and work through their issues. Celia Kyle's adorably alpha dragon shifters are as literal-minded and sweetly clueless as ever when confronted with English idioms and the inexplicable behavior of human females, much to the reader's entertainment. There are no more endearing aliens in sci-fi romance than the Preor, and Brukr acquits himself well.

I am conflicted about this series. I don't think the books are particularly strong or compelling, and yet I read them all. I've had a LOT of time on airplanes to fill lately. The longer the series goes, the more the weaknesses accumulate and show. Repetition being the main one-- the series isn't strong enough to sustain originality over this many books. The entire series takes place in 2-3 locations-- Preor tower, Choosing Station, and the ship. All the Preors are the same, that's becoming boring. All the women are basically the same-- insert generic heroine here. They all act stupidly and the stories just can't be sustained for that many pages based on The Big Misunderstanding-- you know, the thing keeping the H and h apart that could be resolved in 5 minutes if they talked to each other. UGH. The villains are one dimensional, the "evil parents" plot is beyond wearing thin, and the sex scenes--- I've just been skipping those for the last 3 or 4 books. There is too much SAMENESS.

There is everything to like about this hero. He is steadfast, respectful and protective.

The cause of his self esteem issues could have been revealed much earlier in the look so that we could see the hero work through them. As it is, they are just annoying angst.

I like the heroine as well until I find out her secret and reasoning for a set of things and then I am just annoyed as all get out. It would have been a much more intersting read if she just trusted the people she had every reason to trust and then the story could have been about dealing with her stuff.

There is a plot twist that is interesting but not enough to save the book for me.

There is just too much energy in the wrong places.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Release Copy of this book. Contains some spoilers.

For realzzies? I LOUVEEEE Brukr! Omg....how sweet and oh so protective he is of Hannah. Poor guy doesnt think he deserves a mate. Hannah is from the previous book and has the disease Pol Mutation. She also has a big secret which she is deathly afraid the Preor will find out and cast her out and leave her unprotected. She's so drawn to Brukr but knows she's not his mate because they dont experience The Knowing. Well...as we know peeps got issues and it leaves them blocked and well Brukr doesnt care if he experiences The Knowing with Hannah or not she is HIS! Hannah wants to do whats best for the Preor people and tries so very hard to leave but that darn dragon wont let her go! Then you got the buttwipe human Eric who supposedly protected her for years and wants her for his own...but he's got his own bat**** crazy agenda and its quite disturbing! Ooooh lemme tell you that the naught scenes between these two were HAWWWT! Whoa.

I quite enjoyed the book as always. Keep 'em coming Celia cause you know I love those dragons!

I really enjoyed this story! Brukr and Hannah are awesome characters. I loved the twists involved with this one as well. It's written really well and has Celia Kyle's typical snarky humor which I just love! I was drawn in from the beginning by these characters and had to keep reading to find out how they got their happy ending. They both deserve one but don't think they do or will ever have one. They are both trying to make up for things in their past, whether they did them or not. There are a few nice twists in the story that will definitely keep your attention. The sex is explicit but doesn't play a large part this time. There is a lot going on that keeps taking precedence. There's action and intrigue, along with a lot of sexual tension lol. I loved getting to see some of our other characters from previous stories, both couples and singles that have yet to have theirs told. I can't wait to read some of their's. This book can be read as a standalone though I think that I get more enjoyment from them as I have read all in the series and am already attached to characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I borrowed this book and actually the whole series through KU and I want to truly thank the author for offering her books through this service.

Brukr is our blue/grey Preor and he and his quintet are charged with protecting the females of Cole-Daven corporation. Hannah is one of the spokesmen to encourage those with the Pol Mutation to get the free treatment that Cole-Daven is offering to cure the disease. Hannah past has put her through hell and and she is just trying to survive and hopefully help others with Pol Mutation even though she does not want her own cured (I can't say any more about that without giving away a major part of the plot). With the Pol Mutation messing with the Preor Knowing it is more important than ever for the women to be cured.

I love this series and eagerly await each new addition. I like that we see more interaction with the quintet this time. I cannot wait until the next book as the author has teased it is for a certain "bright ray of walking, talking, cranky sunshine" and I have been waiting for his story forever (or so it seems).

Hot, hot hot-dragon! Not sure what his story was, but there was definitely something wrong with Eric, her handler. Did he loose someone so tried to mold Hannah after her? That's sad, because she was never his fate. She was destined for her dragon--Brukr. They complete each other as is meant to be and find healing and hopefully absolution for their believed faults. Both see themselves as unworthy, but Syh has other plans, despite both their insecurities. There is only so much a reader can take of these two nearly masochistic or are they passive aggressive (?) personalities. So glad they finally wised up, or I was going to reach through the pages an smack both of them. They both thought they were being noble until the Knowing hit them and all was made clear. Dieus est Machina to the rescue.
Looking forward to the next dragon hunk!

Hannah den Kelly has started working with the Dragons of Preor to help publicise the cure they have for an illness that has been devastating humans. The big problem is she has been in witness protection and now she might be found.
Brukr sen Zak'lu is very happy to protect the beautiful human. This might get him in trouble. He knows he will never be worthy of a mate. He carries a heavy load of guilt for his past that seriously effects his feeling of self worth.
Both of our protagonists are having trouble putting the past behind them.
This is part of a series that is best read in order. It's full of wonderful sexy dragons and lots of humour. I have been totally addicted to this series since the first book. They get even better with each one. I love the way the A.I. has been given such a cheeky personality, and the confusion the dragons feel with female human behaviour.
I loved every page.
I look forward to the next book.

I received a copy of Brukr for an honest review. Brukr is the next story in the Preor series, which is a spinoff of the Ujal series. I have read the books in both series, and so far, have not been disappointed.

The Preor is a race of dragon shifters who are looking for their mates on Earth since most of their females have died from a virus. This is a common theme in many of the science fiction romance stories; however, Celia Kyle puts enough spin and imagination into the story that keeps it very interesting.

Brukr centers on the couple Brukr, a Preor warrior, and Hannah, the human love interest. The story is stand-alone focusing on a new couple, but it’s much better to read the whole series to understand the background.

As I was reading Brukr, I thought it was similar to the last story in the series, Ivoth; however, as I kept reading I found differences and twists that drew me into the plot. It was actually, in my opinion, a very sweet story and I loved the message of accepting people for who they are. Both Brukr and Hannah accepted and loved each other for who they were deep down inside, and healed each other. Brukr was especially sweet and considerate since all he truly cared about was taking care of Hannah.

I would have liked a little more background on Hannah, but for the most part, the story was complete with no holes. As always, Celia Kyle weaves much humor and wit throughout the story, and really knows how to convey emotions. Wow! I could feel the emotions in many of the passages.

In summary, I found Brukr an entertaining and humorous story, with likable characters, very few typos or grammatical errors, and I look forward to the next one.

I was thrilled to see another entry into this series. Catching up with other couples, the little ones, is always a great.

Why three stars? That's not a bad thing, you know. First, I would not re-read this. Next, one of the reasons is that there is too much going on in this story; from serial killers to cultists to obsessed males along with non-sensical choices, illogical beliefs, and over the top cultural confusion as if the Preor have never dealt with aliens before. Finally, the writer forgot to write sex into the story until the end. Well, that and once more the all-important KNOWING is absent which leaves the Preor confused each and every time. Umm, isn't that insta-love thing sorta supposed to be the point to these books?

Regardless, I look forward to the next entry in this series.

What can you you not like about Brukr? Uh, nothing! I love this alien. He has that powerful side of him, but yet he is also an unknowingly caring soul. His main problem is that he suffers from feelings of unworthiness and is constantly trying to prove himself in the eyes of others. Brukr is a true Preor Warrior in every essence of the word. He leads his unit with an iron fist and they respect him for that. It's just one thing that he is unable to figure out and that is his need to protect a human female named Hannah. Now she has some demons herself that she is running away from and he is intent on figuring them out. What is his attraction to Hannah and why does his inner Dragon call to her. Well you must read this book to find out.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in this series.

This is another example of love overcoming all obstacles. I'm never disappointed when I read a "Dragons of Preor" story and Brukr and Hannah's story is no exception. Brukr might be a rough and tough warrior but he can express his love to Hannah in such emotional words as the following: "I am not mated to your face. I am not mated to your body. I am mated to 'you', Hannah. Let Whelon cure your Pol Mutation. Be healthy. Be yourself." How can anyone not go AH at such an expression of love. Hannah has gone through so much turmoil in her short life that she has no confidence in herself but with Brukr she finds her soul. So looking forward to Ms. Kyle's next book in this series. The opinions I've expressed here are totally my own and as always given voluntarily.

Brukr is favored by the Preor Emperor but feels that the honor is undeserving because of what he did before he saved the Emperor's life. A deeply religious, honorable man, Brukr knows he should not be forgiven for what he has done but Hannah calls to his soul as no one else does. Hannah is the female version of Brukr, constantly running from the evil her father was. They both have issues that get in the way of their destiny together. This story takes you through their evolution as a couple and they give each other the forgiveness they both seek.

The Dragons of Preor series is one of my favorite from Celia Kyle. It has enough fantasy to keep me happy and her sense of humor never gets old. I received this book as an ARC and choose to do a review.

I read so many of these paranormal romances, and I have to say that Celia Kyle's are some of my favorites. I enjoy the world she created for this series as well as the characters. I find that most books in this genre don't really have much of a story to them --- just lots of sex and inane dialogue. Ms. Kyle's books have a storyline. This one involved the couple each learning to accept themselves in spite of their connections to their past, and how their love --- one for the other --- helped them do this. Yes, there are some steamy scenes, but they are part of the story. If you want a good story set in a strange and alien world filled with their culture along with romance and some steamy scenes, then you will enjoy this book.

I enjoyed this installation in the Dragons series more than its immediate predecessor. I enjoyed the frequent humorous notes when the big, tough dragons stumbled over the quirks of their female mates. The heroine's story unfolded nicely. I always feel a loss when 'warriors' have no warrior scenes - but I didn't really miss them in this book until the book is over & I try to figure out why its not a 5 star or one I know I'll be rereading in the next 6 months.

One note - too many references to his 'wred in the katoth pants'. After the 12th time, it was distracting. Its fun to substitute alien words for anatomy & leather but its fun diminishes when it becomes distracting.

You cannot stop reading or loving these books! This is, I regret, the last of the series for me. I have enjoyed each and everyone of them and could not take the time to review each one individually because I was so anxious to read the next! It was so bad that at a couple of points I was rescinding two of the stories at a time when waiting for my two kindled (old one and new one) to take turns recharging! Never before! Dragons, humans terrific ladies, confused mates, and children on both sides of the fence and not to forget, a computer that seems more human then human with a tech that is unbelievable!
Thanks Celia Kyle for one of the very best series of acid FUN I have ever read!!

Whoohooo! Another adventure with sexy dragons shifters, ladies who fight their attractions before finding that their soulmate is the winged Preor that loves her more than their next breath! I have read each book so far and absolutely love it. I was laughing and going awww at different points of the book and kept wanting more. If you enjoy a book with sexy shifters who are very alpha male and yet have moments of silliness with misunderstandings, and ladies you want to go out for a girls night out with, this is your author and book series. Long time fan of Celia Kyle and I haven't found a book by her that I haven't loved yet.

This story was terrific with surprises thrown in! I love these dragon stories they keep getting better and better! After each book I'm looking forward to reading the next. I love reading about each of the Preor Dragons and the mates they find. This story also brought in previously mated couples which connected the story nicely. It's a good idea to read the books in order to follow the continuation of the stories and understand the background at least for me. I really like how the author creates each of the characters three dimensional and different from each other so that stories are not repetitions of the previous ones. Very well written. In this story there was an unexpected twist with the human male who kept showing up and trying to keep the human female from Brukr the male Preor. I really didn't like him, but I was totally surprised when the truth came out. This book is well worth reading.

I love reading this series. Starting with the Ujal (which I miss) and now the Preor.

Hannah is in witness protection. She has been on the run from cult followers for ten years. She wants to help others with Pol Mutation but will not help herself in fear of losing her new identity. No one can understand why she won't cure herself and she won't tell anyone.

Brukr knows she is his destined mate. He is determined to have her regardless of the Pol Mutation. He just has to get her to agree.

I liked the new angle of witness protection and uncontrollable antagonists. I look forward to more and more of the Preor!

Brukhr and Hannah are two individuals who feel like they don't deserve happiness. Hannah is hiding from her father and her handler isn't who she really thought he was. Brukhr feels like what he did in the past makes him a coward and he doesn't deserve a mate even though he wants Hannah! But they don't know if they are mates because Hannah refuses to have the genetic procedure that would cure her. The story is fantastic as usual and I love the mystery, suspense and romance that celia throws together so effortlessly.

Another awesome entry into the Preorder series. Celia Kyle's personal brand of humor runs rampant throughout this book and you couldn't ask for anything better. Brukr and Hannah were attracted to each other but tried not to act on their secret passion. After all, The Knowing, did not manifest between, so they were not true mates. Circumstances led Brukr to claim Hannah without The Knowing, and he has no regrets. She is his mate and refuses to consider any other. Hannah agreed to be cured from Pol Mutation and after she was cured, The Knowing manifested! They were true mates, after all! Lots of sizzle and passion. Glimpses of the relationships from previous matings. It's always nice to hear how they are doing. Great read!??❤❤❤

I love this series! Hannah and Brukr are super characters. They and the supporting cast add so much depth to the Preor Dragon's living on Earth. They are strong, caring, protective and hopelessly lost when dealing with the human women they love. Their "off with their heads" solution to every slight, real or imagined, is reminiscent of siblings bickering...until it isn't. These dragons can be deadly when confronting an enemy. However, it's the humor in these books that puts a smile on my face and keeps me coming back for more.

I loved Brukr and Hannah! Such a great pair. They are both fighters in their own right and have had very hard lives. Brukr doesn't think that he is worthy of love or finding a mate but loves Hannah so much, that he isn't willing to let her go. Hannah has had to undergo so many changes in her life and is scared to stop moving and changing out of fear. They take a leap on each other and in the end it is totally worth it. This was yet another great story from Celia. I love the Preor series! Who doesn't love hot dragon men??? Keep them coming!

I love these books. Brukr is a warrior. He feels like he is worthless and will never have a mate. That he is not honorable and doesn't deserve one. Hannah is scared and running. She has been in hiding since she was 17. The government has been keeping her hidden ever since. Brukr has no idea why he wants to protect her. But he can't stay away from her. She isn't his mate there is no knowing but he wants her. Forever.. I love these books. Can't wait for the new ones.. ?

I really love this universe, first with the Ujal and now with the Preor. Brukr is a really well written story and the poor guy really is just too cute trying to navigate the complexity that is the human female. Preor males really are a breath of fresh air in their simplistic logic in that if any female or child cries or is in pain, someone has to die. LOL, I love it!

This author has such a way of telling her tales. There is humor and hotness and suspense. You know there will be a HEA but still..... love this series! Very glad I have kindle unlimited too, I would have spent my monthly budget already just on these books lol. Grab one and read it ladies. This is not the sci-fy of our parents!!

The author never fails to deliver, although this one is not my favorite of the series. It is a moving, emotional love story. Two beings, one a long suffering human woman, the other a brave, honorable, sexy dragon male. It would have been good to learn more of her back story.

I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Love this series and this entry is no exception! I especially like the symmetry in this one between the protagonists. I love all of this author's books, but this series just rocks! I am also (as another reviewer said) hoping for LK's story -- but shoot, at this point I'm rooting for Penelope to (somehow) have a story, too!

Another wonderful read from Celia Kyle. I just love this series and cannot wait for more. She grab my attention from page one and I could not put the book down, until I had read it completely. There has not been one book that wasn't wonderfully written. Her female characters are sassy and gorgeous, who doesn't take anything off the alpha male.

This book was absolutely fantastic! Brukr and Hannah's story was an excellent one! The whole series is a great one and you don't want to miss any of them. Celia Kyle/Erin Tate is one of my must read authors no matter what she writes. I volunteered to review an advanced reader copy because the book is so awesomesauce!

I love visiting the Dragons of Preor! Each book always has a great story about wonderfully strong men and their equally strong women. Brukr and Hannah are no exception. Adventure, suspense, humor and some great romance. I loved every minute! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
