For some reason I was under the impression this was the first book in the series :( now I will have to backtrack which is a bit annoying for me. Anyways! This book was GREAT. Only reason for 4 stars is it took me a while to really get hooked into the plot. This is not your typical mystery, so the plot doesn't make sense at first but everything comes together. Don't give up, I can't lie I almost stopped reading just because my impatience. So glad I didn't. This was refreshing compared to what I usually read. Can't wait for the next book!

I first read the book Mistletoe and Moonglow and enjoyed it so much! I loved the characters and looked at what else this author had written. I found this book with some of the same characters. I really enjoyed the hotel setting and mystery plot. Hopefully, more books will be written about the colorful people in Timberton including Mist, Clive, and Betty.

For the characters, they had mysteries to be solved, and they didn't even know it until Paige got there and started turning everything over.
Looking forward to finding out more about Paige and Jake's developing relationship.

This is my first intro to Paige MacKenzie, and she's a great character. This book also has a whole town full of remarkable characters. The plot leads you on, the people grab you, and the love interest makes your toes tingle. Great job.

This book would be considered light entertainment. It was an easy read. It was interesting when telling about Yogo saphires.I didn't really enjoy the parts that dealt with the art, especially when it included Silas Wheeler.
I probably wouldn't give a strong recommendation.

This book had me turning pages. I love authors who give their readers several mystery angles and then bring them all together. The characters in the book are loyal and care about the people in thier community. Superb.

What common threads can be found among this group: Jonas, who spends his nights groveling along the walls of a tunnel; the owner of an old hotel; a nosey New York journalist; a pretend sheriff; a Montana cowboy; a jewelry designer; and the Monlight Cafe's manager Mist, who has no menus or prices for her food and serves Java Love coffee? Their lives entertwine as do the twists and turns of the plot of this interesting mystery.

This is the second in the Paige McKenzie series and I have thoroughly enjoyed both. I have not read anything of this authors before but you can bet I will be waiting for her next in this series and check to see if she has written other books. Good reading, believable plots and just enough romance to make a sentimental story. Doesn't go into a lot of descriptive sex and passion, yet you can feel the connection between Paige & Jake.

I enjoyed this fun little cozy mystery. I haven't read book 1 yet, but I was still able to follow the story just fine. The characters and setting were real and vivid, and I could easily picture myself there. I learned a thing or two about sapphires, too!

This was a very enjoyable story with some plot twists along the way to keep it interesting. The only reason it wasn't 5 stars was the use of too many details in some places that didn't add to the story at all. Overall, I highly recommend this book. I always appreciate an author who doesn't feel the need to resort to x-rated language, etc.

An easy and interesting story -- great if you want a break from something heavy or that will raise your blood pressure with suspense. I'll probably read it again -- just for the fun of it. Reading a book that you enjoy (a 2nd time) is a good way to notice things that you missed the first time through it. Yep. I'll read it again.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were very well described and very likeable. The storyline was very interesting, kept me wanting to just read one more chapter. This book was a freebie for me from bookbub, I understand now why we get free books. I am definitely paying for her next book. I have felt before, that reading a free book turned into a waste of my time, and actually stopped reading and deleted the book on my kindle. Definitely not the case here, very enjoyable read.

Fun book: mystery, romance, crime and retribution...legally, all in a story you will be unable to put down. A look at Montana and Wyoming, the old West, it's people, a sense of community....in a story. Might not be the same in reality...but aren't books for dreaming!!
This reader will be looking for more of the same by this author.

This is the second book with Paige MacKenzie I've read, and very much enjoyed both, especially having traveled to Jackson and the surrounding area in recent months. The story of the Yogos sapphires was interesting...I want one!...but it was skillfully woven into a good mystery with a host of colorful and appealing characters. A few surprises and a happy ending made this a satisfying read.

I really enjoyed this book and would like to read more of the series by this author. Since I haven't read the first book I would like to read it next. Ms Garner is a great author who knows how to keep you reading when you think you are ready to quit for the night.

I am looking forward to reading in the next book about Betty and Clive and their old-new relationship.

Imagine an artist who transfers her skill for painting to the presentation of food. And the food is scrumptious, too. Add A reporter who is obsessed with research, a rancher, a gemoligest and various other characters and you have a caring community committed to assisting others and a wonderfully enchanting story.

From the beginning, the writers free flowing words pull you into the story. A well written plot, several subplots, a mystery unfolds. From the streets of New York to a small mining town in Montana, the story develops like a well crafted work of art. The characters are believeable. The dialogue flows effortlessly. Just when you think you have everything figured out, a plot twist occurs! I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
