Heroes Proved (Peter Newman Book 4)

This book was so compelling. A definite page turner. I thought I was looking into the United States of Disaster as what to expect in the future. Very disturbing. I have never read any of Col Oliver North's books. I did not know he was a writer, he is definitely a HERO!!!!

This is a fantastic book, especially to be read around Independence Day. It helps to think about those behind the scenes who risk their lives on a regular basis. Has given me New insight on the man General North has been and still is. You can't write what you don't know, obviously this is not only written by a man who knows, but one who has and appreciates others with great integrity.

Col. North has become a prophet about the future of this nation. Heroes Proved may be a work of fiction, but there is much truth in his writing about the past and present and a warning about the future as the Old Testament prophets warned the people of Israel. "If my people who are called by my Name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2nd Chronicles 7:14) He has made me realize how corrupt those we elected to represent us has turned to worshiping themselves rather than the Creator and abiding by the principals this nation was founded on. My prayer is that there may still be those who have the spirit of Joshua and will stand up and be counted, no matter the cost. I hope readers will read my rating and will read this novel!

Outstanding, clear view of the potential path our country is taking and the consequences we may face if we do not return to the ideals and principles that built the greatest nation on earth through the American Experiment of Democracy. All of us and our children and grandchildren need to read this.

Oliver North is a supreme story teller and a historian who understands the political ramifications for every nationality, race,, area and the effects we eventually feel of the decisions made throughout history.

Another great novel by Oliver North written with a depth of experience in the military and behind the scene politics. No one but Oliver North can speak with such authority. Heroes Proved may be a warning to all of us. It's scary. He was actually writing this a couple of years ago and the first chapter pretty much describes the events of our election of 2012. We need to take this to heart as Americans to regain our moral compass that made us the great nation we are as created by our founders.

A good, fast paced novel by someone who knows how our government works ... and how power can corrupt.
Has a lot of military acronyms that can be confusing, but the plot is fast paced and (unfortunately) believable!!!

If you are concerned about and wonder where our government is going ... just read this book!

Excellent, intriguing political thriller. Unfortunately, current events are mimicking this very frightening scenario.
Only criticism is that it is a little heavy on miltary jargon,which can be somewhat cumbersome to follow

Oliver North has been there and done that and has an awesome vision for where we are going and what's going to happen. Not only was this a good mystery/suspense - it was a crystal ball looking in to the future - one that seems quite likely at the rate this country is going down hill!

The story caused me to look differently at some of the decisions being made by our government and the unseen outcomes they might have in the future. Rather than marginalizing Christians and the Christian faith he delivers a very clear, positive and respectful view of Christians. If you enjoy political thrillers then you will like this book.

I search the internet for "the book" that went before this one. This one was written as if there was a previous book that introduced all the change that had occurred in the world governments. I enjoyed the development of the characters in the second generation, but still felt something was missing.

It is a novel that illustrates the potential for an abusive, infringing government, run amok...Something we need to be paying attention to right now, with the foundations being laid for continued abuses of our liberties and freedoms so many have fought and died for, for us to enjoy...Who are WE to ignore, and not appreciate those sacrifices, by becoming apathetic and not holding our elected officials to a higher standard of understanding these unalienable rights...This book illustrates a failure of the people to stand up and fight back...But in the end, eventually people do wise up and begin to take it back!!!

Everyone should read this book. Educational when you think you are just reading for pleasure. The first Oliver North I have read, and highly recommend it if you like thrillers and want one that is all too realistic, timely, and written from someone who knows what he is talking about.
