When Katrina Bailey bumps into Bowie Callahan and his little brother, Milo in the grocery store little did she know that meeting would be the result of a big change in her life. Sometimes you have to take a chance and it took Katrina a while to figure that out. There was a lot of hurt from the past for Bowie but he did what he had to do for Milo even though he was way in over his head.
I love going back to visit Haven Point and all the lovely people there. Rayne Thayne has created a wonderful place to live with loving and caring people. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this great town? The characters are so strong and never give up no matter what life throws at them or the situation they may face. Things aren’t always perfect for the people of Haven Point, but they have hope, strength and a determination to get what they want from life. There is a strong sense of family who stand by each other no matter what. I thoroughly loved Bowie and Milo. Bowie had such pain from his past and being human was very frustrated with dealing with Milo. I had a bit of a problem with Katrina as it was a bit aggravating how she kept telling Bowie no but then would kiss him every chance she got. This author has a great way of story telling that makes you unable to put the book down until you’ve read the very last page. You want to move to Haven Point and have all the characters for your friends. I enjoyed going back for a visit with some of my favorite characters. A great stand-alone read but much better if you read the other books in this series as well.

Two lost souls collide and make a magical connection in this feel-good romance from RaeAnne Thayne! I didn't think I could love Haven Point any more than I already did from past books, but this one tops it all. There's sadness and tears, there's fear mixed with hope, there's a sweet connection of weak with strong. A fabulous story all the way around!
Tech millionaire Bowie Callahan might have made it to the big time in his career, but he never expected to find himself guardian to a little brother he didn't even know he had at this point in his life! He's recently moved to Haven Point and is trying to get settled, now with this wrench thrown into his plans, he could really use some help!
Schoolteacher Katrina Bailey happens to run into Bo and his little brother and isn't happy at all with how she sees Bowie handling things with his sibling. She doesn't like the man at first sight, but she finds herself agreeing to a temporary job just to ease his little brother's transition! She might not want to be around the guy, but the money will go a long way in helping her to adopt her own little cherub! It surprises her to find that Bo is actually a nice guy once she gets settled in with them and gets to know him a little. Will the attraction they quickly have for each other cause a problem in their working relationship, or will they decide to act on it and see where this thing goes?

Stepping back into Haven Point is like having coffee with an old friend. It’s been far too long (over a year!) since I’ve been for a visit.
Before I get to the love story in this book, I want to talk about the friendship between Katrina and Sam. Friends since early childhood, they suddenly find themselves moving along different paths. Katrina still loves Sam and cherishes their friendship, but she’s ready for the next phase of her life while Sam is still into the flirting/dating scene. The reactions and feelings Katrina has throughout this story are so true to life. So many of us go through the same feelings as they feel themselves going in different directions from those they are close to and we don’t know how to “fix” things. The friendships in this series are one of the things that make it so great.
Now onto the main part of this book, Katrina and Bowie. And Milo. And Gabi. I really can’t see how anyone could resist falling for Kat. She’s so kind and patient on top of being beautiful and generous. All things that are evident before one even gets to know her on a deeper level. As for Bowie; he has the same characteristics but it takes some getting to know him to see these attributes. His dedication to his brother, Milo, is enough to make him seem like a decent guy even when he’s prickly.
As much as I adore Katrina, her single-minded focus when it came to her goal of adopting Gabi were actually a negative. It would seem it would be a positive thing to be focused on a goal and not let anything distract from that goal, but when you can’t see that there actually are some people who want to help you attain that goal it’s a problem. I was so glad when that was finally pointed out to her.
To sum up the way this story made me feel, just read the very last paragraph. Like being wrapped in your favorite warm, fluffy blanket. All the feels!

Serenity Harbor is a wonderful summer read that will leave you with all the feels. Bowie Callahan is in a bind with his newly discovered little brother who happens to have Autism. Katrina Bailey is just the person to teach Bowie and his brother Milo a few lessons on life and love!
If you are looking for a smutty beach read, Serenity Harbor is not the book for you. However if you are looking for well written and heart felt, you should definitely let Ms. Thayne take you back to Haven Point; all the way to Serenity Harbor. I feel it would be easy to sensationalize Milo's Autism, but RaeAnne Thayne created a wonderful little boy who will grab readers by the heart and not let go. Bowie is written exactly how I would perceive anybody in his situation (unsure, wary, and completely lost). Katrina is a likable character, but tends to negativity and self depreciation (at least in her own mind). Having said that, it's easy to overlook both Katrina and Bowie's flaws given their histories and the concern they both have for Milo. Gabi plays a huge part in the story w/out really being around; I hope that in future visits to Haven Point that she is able to have a more active role.
Serenity Harbor is the type of book that you can freely read in front of your children, or recommend to any reader who isn't looking for highly sexed and violent. The characters are all warm, loving people who look out for one another and genuinely care about their neighbors. With the turmoil in the world today there is no better time to step into a book filled with love from the very first page!

Serenity Harbor is the sixth book in the Haven Point series, but only the second one I've read, and it's another touching, sweet, heartwarming and charming novel that addresses some very serious issues, and it gets 5 stars from this reader.
We first meet Katrina Bailey and her friend Samantha at the market, where man-crazy Samantha has just spotted the new hunk in town, Bowie Callahan, wealthy part-owner and new director of R&D at the Caine Tech company that's recently moved into town. Katrina, who's been living and working as teacher in Colombia, is only back in town for several weeks to act as maid of honor in her sister's upcoming wedding. She isn't terribly interested in Bowie, considering herself a terrible judge of men in general since the last man in her life left her stranded in Colombia without a dime, ID or her passport, and she refuses Sam's offer to introduce her to Bowie. That all changes when she bumps into him again in the produce aisle, where the child she assumes is his son is having a meltdown and pitching a fit. She recognizes immediately that the child, Milo, has autism, and, as an elementary school teacher, she recognizes the signs and manages to talk him down. As it turns out, Milo isn't Bowie's son, Milo is his 6-year-old half-brother, one he didn't even know existed until a couple of weeks ago, when his estranged, addicted and dysfunctional mother, Stella, died, and left the care and custody of Milo to him.
While living and working in a Colombian orphanage, teaching English to the children, Katrina (Kat) met and fell in love with Gabi, a 3-year-old little girl with Down Syndrome, and she's been trying to adopt her and bring her back to the U.S. ever since. As someone with both an adopted niece and nephew from Colombia, I'm well aware of just how difficult, convoluted and corrupt the adoption process is in that country, and the many hoops one must jump through to be successful. I'm also well acquainted with autism, and how difficult is can be to raise someone on the autism spectrum, especially for someone with zero experience with autism or with parenting in general.
When Bowie and Kat keep running into one another in the small town of Haven Point, and he sees how quickly her relationship with Milo develops and how quickly Milo has become attached to her, he tells her that the third nanny he'd hired for Milo has quit and he offers her a staggering amount of money to work as Milo's nanny for the few weeks she's in town for her sister's wedding, which is when the new specialist he's hired to work with Milo will arrive. While Kat resists at first, that huge payday means she'll have a better chance and more resources to help her complete the complicated adoption process and adopt Gabi, and so she accepts, eventually moving into Bowie's home, since Bowie often works long hours well into the night.
Both of these well-drawn characters haven't had it easy. Bowie grew up an outsider, often homeless and hungry with his hippie/junkie/free-spirited and careless mother and not a clue as to his father's identity. He ran from her in his early teens, got his GED and hacked his way into MIT, being a brilliant software designer. Katrina had her own troubles as a child who also was an outsider due to her epileptic seizures. She was bullied, and laughed at school and overprotected by her mother. Although her seizures dwindled away during puberty, she's been looking for acceptance ever since, going from man to man, or more accurately from loser to loser, and has decided that since she's such a bad judge of men, that she'd rather avoid them altogether, and simply be a mother to Gabi.
Because this is a romance after all, familiarity between Kat and Bowie breeds both interest and affection, but as the relationships between Kat, Bowie and Milo develop, and as Milo begins to improve, accept and adore her, what will happen when Kat is ready to leave and return to Colombia? How will Milo react to the new specialist, and what will these two troubled relationship-shy yet deeply driven individuals do about their mutual attraction? You'll just have to read this excellent, multi-layered and emotional novel yourself.
If you've not read any of the books in the Haven Point series before, they all work as standalones, but you will meet a large cast of characters in this one as the wedding plans progress. While I'm usually bothered by a bunch of unknowns interspersed into a later installment in a series, this novel held so much interest for me, that it seemed like a mere inconvenience.
This is not your average romance, as it deals with both troubled childhoods, bullying, and special needs children. If you're expecting hot sex scenes, this is not the novel for you. However, if you're looking for a sweet, deeply moving and serious story with depth, do not miss this one. It's a gem!
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

For Bowie Callahan, finding someone ASAP to help care for his newfound brother is a priority. Being attracted to Katrina Bailey wasn’t one of them until he sees her interact with Milo and head off a breakdown in the middle of the grocery store. Kat is determined to not work for Bowie. She is so close to her goal in adopting an orphan from South America that she wants nothing to do with rich, entitled Bowie. But looks can be deceiving and as Kat finds out, there is more to Bowie than the what she sees on the surface. As Kat is drawn more into Bowie and Milo’s life, she finds that sometimes what you see isn’t what you get.
I adore this series. Ms. Thayne delivers another wonderful story that is compassionate, delightful as it is heartfelt. The writing is tight and the story flows smoothly with a fast pace. I love meeting Bowie and Milo and finding how these two brothers can come together as a family with a little help. Katrina is a character that comes off in the beginning as aloof and very judgmental. She tears into Bowie and is so cold, I was wondering if this was one book in the series I just wasn’t going to enjoy. Within a few chapters the readers see just how determined she was in her goal in being a better person. Slowly as she warms up to Bowie and Milo, I saw the real Kat behind the façade and loved her to pieces. Bowie is a man drowning-in work, a family situation thrust upon him out of the blue and an attraction to the lovely Katrina that takes him out of his comfort zone. Ms. Thayne captures these two main characters perfectly within SERENITY HARBOR. They just click together even as time and other issues keep cropping up.
This is an author who delivers heartfelt stories that just steal the readers heart with each page turned. The secondary characters from past books pop up and move the story along with smiles, humor and more. I love the dynamics of all the characters and feel this really does showcase what living in a small town is like. Everyone knowing your business, people determined to give their opinion no matter what, etc. Ms. Thayne captures that perfectly in her Haven Point series and makes it a star in the series. SERENITY HARBOR is a jewel in the series and I loved every minute of it. The other star was Milo. What an adorable character and I fell just a little bit in love with him while reading SERENITY HARBOR.
If you are looking for a romance filled with sparks, small town life and just a bit of romance, then you need to read Haven Point series. It’s a fun and sweet series that will steal your heart and never let go. I look forward to seeing where the next book in the series, Sugar Pine Trail, goes in the series next.

Katrina and Bo’s story fits the Haven Point series vibe well: it’s sweet rather than spicy, with characters you can care about in a small town you’d love to be a part of. This time around, young Milo steals the show. Thayne is great at writing kids who tug at your heartstrings, and Milo is charming despite his challenges (he is autistic and initially nonverbal.) Kat is a natural with him, a primary-school teacher who has a soft spot for, and training in working with, children with special needs. I liked Kat a lot, especially her fierce love for the Columbian child she wants to adopt. To be honest, she’s such a great young woman that I had a little difficulty buying into her insecurities, even though her backstory made them plausible.
It took me several chapters to warm up to Bo, but as I saw more of his commitment to Milo and his own backstory, I came to really like him as well. He’s stuck in a difficult situation between his job and the challenges of caring for his previously unknown brother, and he hasn’t yet figured out what and how he needs to change–but you know he’ll do his best.
I’m not quite sure what it was that didn’t pull me in as deeply as some of the previous books in the series. It may simply be that I was sick (literally) when I read it. And I don’t mean that I didn’t enjoy it, because I certainly did, just not quite as much as, say, Snow Angel Cove or Riverbend Road. Call it a 3.5 instead of a 4 – enjoyable, warm, and comforting. (And bear in mind that I rarely give 5 stars to anything unless it’s truly amazing, or I’ve re-read it multiple times; 3.5 stars means I liked it very much.)
There’s another Haven Point story coming out in time for Christmas, and I’m already looking forward to it. It features town librarian Julia Winston and another of the Caine siblings, Jamie. (Brother Aidan starred in the first Haven Point book, and several other Caines are featured in the earlier Hope’s Crossing series.) RaeAnne Thayne writes wonderful Christmas romances, so I’m sure it, too, will be delightful!

My Thoughts...
The author did a very good job at giving the reader a sweet contemporary romance engaging story of this 'Haven Point #6 series. Be ready for a read that the reader will not want to put it down until the end. I found this a interesting read about Katrina Bailey as she in involved with a boyfriend in Colombia. When that arrangement didn't work out and finds herself stranded and alone there she takes a job teaching English. Katrina becomes involved the a 'Down Syndrome child at the orphanage and decides to want to adapt. How will this come out? Then as the story moves on Kat's sister Wynona is getting married to Marshall who just happened to be the police chief there in Heaven's Point. Kat will have to leave the child [Gabriela] and returns to "Haven Point" since she was the maid of honor. What is up with Katrina's attorney who wanted more money than was previous asked for in the handling of this adoption? Now, this author gives the readers even more in this interesting read as Katrina is at the grocery store and comes upon a situation as she helps this man named Bowie Callahan who was with his younger half brother [Milo] who has had a total meltdown and it seems like Kat was able to help out this situation. This really seemed to really impressed Bowie and he offers Katrina a job ...for three weeks as a nanny for Milo. We find Bowie was a computer-tech genius and a self made millionaire. The money was great for Kat ...would she take this job for $12,000 for three weeks? Will this help Kat out especially since she was having trouble with all of the complications of the adoption with her attorney? Now there was more to this story as we find out that little Milo is suffering from 'Autism.' This was all new for Bowie because he had just found out 'his estranged mother, Stella, had passed away and left behind a six year old son...Bowie' half brother Milo and he vowed to take care of him. With Samantha who was a friend of Katrina had feelings for Bowie however, that did not bother Kat because she 'sworn off men' and was determined to raise Gabriela on her on. So, Kat definitely didn't want to get involved with Bowie especially after finding him so arrogant but will that all change after they get to know each other...like learning about each of their childhoods? This is where I will say that you will have to pick up this good read that this author presents it all so well to the readers. I liked how this story brings in two special need children [Gabriela & Milo] into the picture in such a warm and loving way that shows them with such a unconditional love that will simply melt your heart as you will receive from this heartwarming read. Would I recommend "Serenity Harbor" from the Haven Point # 6 read? YES!

YES!

RaeAnne Thayne has a wonderful writing style that creates realistic and likeable characters facing real life challenges. The reading is easy and warm making this move along at a quick pace.
Katrina struggled with illness that made her childhood difficult. She got better in her teenage years and discovered boys about the time they discovered her. She has made some poor choices in men and life since. But her last bad choice brought her to a life changing experience. Katrina discovered a special child in Columbia, Gabriela, whom she is determined to adopt and bring back to America.
Kat has returned from Columbia for three weeks to attend her sister’s wedding. Only Kat’s best friend, Samantha, supports her plan as even her mother doesn’t believe she has changed her flighty ways. Sam points out her latest interest, the newest, handsome bachelor in town, Bowie. Kat has no plans to look at any man while she is focused on adopting Gabi. But Kat realizes that Bowie is struggling with a young boy about to throw a tantrum. Kat manages to distract the boy and learns that Milo is Bo’s autistic, five-year-old half-brother.
Bo has struggled to overcome his own childhood being raised by a young, single mother who could barely care for herself. Now he has accepted guardianship of a half-brother he has just met. Bo knows nothing of handling children and being faced with one who has autism and doesn’t speak has really set his world spinning. Fortunately, Bo made a fortune as a computer tech genius so he can afford good care to help Milo. Since the specialist he has hired as a nanny won’t arrive for three more weeks, Bo offers Kat an outrageous sum to help take care of Milo during that time.
Initially Katrina wants to avoid the all too handsome man but she can really use the money to help with adoption expenses. She agrees to sit for Milo and a day or so later finds herself moving into Bo’s home so she can be there morning and evenings as Bo works late. This puts Bo and Katrina in close proximity trying to resist the chemical attraction that flares along with the growing respect for each other.
Bo has never known stability and love and he doesn’t know how to convince Katrina to stay with Milo … and him. Katrina doesn’t want to be distracted by a temporary fling when she must stay focused on her ‘daughter’. The tension expands as these two dance around their blooming feelings.
I really enjoyed the warmth and charm of this story. I was touched by Bo’s tenderness for Milo and Kat’s caring approach to Milo and Gabi. There is extra conflict added by the expectations and concerns of Kat’s mother, by Sam’s crush on Bowie and by the long-distance adoption efforts. This is part of a wonderful series but can be read as a standalone. It is delightful reading and I recommend it to readers who enjoy small town romance and the special children portrayed in this gem.
I received this through NetGalley for an honest review.

A well written and heartwarming story that made me smile and touched my heart. Ms. Thayne knows how to pull the readers into a story, like always, I enjoyed the visit to Haven Point immensely.
The story tells about Katrina Bailey, Bowie Callahan and his young brother Milo. This story had more of a Woman's Lit feeling with romantic touches, as most of the tale focused on Kat's relationship with Milo, and his development as an autistic child.
Bowie is a very charismatic and charming character. I found it easy to like him and relate to him. He is way over his head with the challenging younger brother whom he has just found out about. But he is trying, he really is. Of course, at the same time several problems at his work are demanding his attention, and he is stressed out to the max. Bowie does what he can to make Milo's life as easy and successful as possible. I admired his dedication, his generosity, kindness, and honesty. His obvious attraction towards Kat was passionate and endearing.
Milo just stole my heart. I loved every single scene where he was a part of. I have been very happy to read several stories lately with an autistic child as part of the plot. I believe it is important to bring the attention and information forward.
Kat comes off as a rather prickly person. At the beginning of the story, she was judgmental towards everyone around her. I understand she was doing something wonderful with the adoption, but her thoughts reflected at times like she thought that made her somehow better than the rest. She is stubborn and opinionated, yet she has a kind, caring, protective heart towards those she takes under her wing. The character development with Kat is remarkable through the story. She finds herself, finds a balance between the past and the present and learns to accept the issues with her childhood regarding her mother.
I would have liked to see the relationship developing between Kat and Bowie since now they mostly avoided each other through the couple short weeks Kat was taking care of Milo. The story is clean, there are few ardent kisses between Bowie and Kat, resulting them staying apart each time. The strongest connection in the story is developing between Milo and Kat, and I could not help but wonder if part of the 'feelings' Bowie was having towards Kat were because of her ability to center Milo and understand his needs. The story does have satisfying ending leaving a lot of the progress with the romantic relationship to the imagination of the reader.
A heartfelt and encouraging story of life in the small town, growing up to be the person we are supposed to be regardless of our past. It's about family, life, and learning to love, doing the right thing by inspiring to use our resources to make a difference whenever possible.
With each visit to the Haven Point, I take home a life lesson, something that I am left to ponder. When those lessons are delivered with an adorable, emotional story of living and loving, you can't help but admire the storytelling talent of the author.

Serenity Harbor is the sixth book in Thayne’s Haven Point series and this was my first experience with the author. I had no issues jumping in at this point as it looks like each book focuses on different residents of the same town, so while this one was about Katrina and Bowie, characters from the previous books made an appearance. I really like when authors build a series this way and I wish I had the time to go back and read from the beginning! Instead, I’ll just be happy that I found these books now and will continue to follow from here on out.
This book had everything I’m in the mood for when I pick up a romance novel. It was super sweet without being over the top and cheesy, it had a great setting with a picturesque little town and characters that stole my heart. I like Kat and Bo well enough but the star of the show for me was Bo’s little brother, Milo. He’s a six year old little guy with autism who had a rough start to his short life. Anytime I watch a show or read a book with a character on the spectrum, I’m instantly interested. My son has autism so I’m obviously always on the lookout for characters with it as well and I’m always nervous about how they’re portrayed. I shouldn’t have worried as Thayne did a beautiful job and her portrayal was real, honest and highly accurate. She either has personal experience with autism or she did some fabulous research, either way bravo!
Another thing that I really liked was that this was a clean romance, meaning no graphic love scenes. I’m not a prude, but oftentimes I find myself skimming over sex scenes, so the lack of them worked for me here. That doesn’t mean that there was a lack of chemistry between the two leads, there definitely was, it just focused more on them building a relationship based on more than physical intimacy. I love that, it’s a book I would be comfortable recommending to a teenager. I think this would appeal to fans of Nora Roberts or Kristan Higgins as the writing style was similar, or to anyone looking for a feel good read with heart.

Serenity Harbor by RaeAnne Thayne is #6 in her Haven Point series. However it can very easily be read as a stand alone. I hadn't read any other one in the series and I slotted into it no trouble. I am sure those who have read previous books though will enjoy what surely are cameos from previous couples who now have their happily ever after.
I really enjoyed this small town contemporary romance. When you place an adorable six year old into the mix you have me hooked every time. Milo is Bowie's brother, one he has only just heard about and is now the guardian. Only trouble is he has no speech and is on the autism spectrum. That's where Katrina comes in, she is present when he has a melt down in the supermarket - she manages to distract and manage it no trouble. And from there a beautiful relationship is about to unfold.
Katrina is a school teacher although not working at present, she is endeavouring to adopt a little four year old from a South American country, who has Down's Syndrome. All her efforts so far have gone done the gurgler and she is desperate to succeed in adopting and bringing her to her hometown, and if she can't she intends to go live in South America for good.
Bowie is a successful and wealthy tech guy and really wants to care for his brother, with Kat's help he is going to be able to come to love and care for him well, however in the journey he also comes to love Katrina, who is a little reluctant in that realm. Both Bowie and Kat have had experiences growing up that have left them a little distrustful and careful.
This was an easy read, I was swept up into a relaxing, fun read. I'd quite happily read on and possibly back in this series!

I love the Haven Pointe series by RaeAnne Thayne. This book in the series was very heartwarming. We are introduced to Bowie Callahan a self-made millionaire who had a childhood that wasn't ideal. He is a computer-tech genius and is one of the brains behind Caine Tech Industries. He has recently moved to Serenity Harbor and soon after he received news that his estranged mother, Stella, had passed away and left behind a 6-year-old son, Bowie's half-brother. Bowie was shocked as he didn't have communication with his mom since he left home but he vowed to take care of him so he didn't have a childhood like he did but there were obstacles because Milo had autism.
We are also introduced to Katrina Bailey, a native of Haven Point, and an elementary school teacher. She left her teaching position a year ago to go to South America with her then boyfriend but shortly after they arrived things went south and she found herself alone. She began teaching English in a local village which is where she found and fell in love with Gabriela. A little girl with down syndrome who lived in an orphanage. Katrina began adoption proceedings but had to return home for her sister Wyn's wedding to Marshall, Haven Points police chief.
Katrina witnesses a meltdown that Milo has in the grocery store and sees Bowie's frustration. Her best friend Samantha has a crush on Bowie which is fine with Katrina because she has sworn off men as she is determined to raise Gabriela on her own. She decides to help Bowie out even though she finds him arrogant. This chance meeting between the two leads to a job and an exorbitant amount of money that Katrina can't turn down as she is running into complications with the adoption.
As the story progresses, we see the attraction between Bowie and Katrina grow. We learn about each of their childhoods and the things they each had to overcome which draws them even closer. Bowie vowed that he would never fall in love and Katrina vowed she wouldn't give her heart to Bowie or any man. Will either of them be able to bring down the walls that shield their hearts to find true love? Can the love of two special needs children show them that love is unconditional? This book will tug at the heart strings. It's full of emotion and tackles several topics relating to children with special needs and what it takes to raise them. Author RaeAnne Thayne did an excellent job portraying this.
I highly recommend this book along with the other books in the Haven Point series.

Serenity Harbor is a wonderful love story that will surely tug at your heartstrings. Bowie Callahan has just been granted custody of a half brother he didn't even know he had. On top of knowing nothing about raising a very young child Milo is autistic.
While picking up some groceries he meets Katrina Bailey. Being a school teacher she helps Milo avert a major meltdown. Needing a temporary nanny Bowie offers Kat a ridiculous sum of money if she will be Milo's nanny for three weeks. She really needs the money she is being offered. She really pondered about taking the job. Knowing the money would really help she accepted his offer.
Then things really happen. The chemistry between Bowie and Kat is off the charts but each is determined to ignore it. We'll see how long that lasts. RaeAnne Thayne really knows how to draw you in and keep those pages turning. I loved every minute of this book.

I thought I was crazy about Snowfall on Haven Point, but the latest addition to RaeAnne Thayne's Haven Point series has given me a wonderful buzz. Serenity Harbor is the sweetest read of the summer. It's one that absolutely can't be missed.
Kat is in town for her sister Wyn's wedding to Cade. She didn't expect to find herself helping the new town resident care for his young brother. Bowie's life changed when he was informed of Milo's existence. Trying to balance work at Caine Tech with Milo's challenges proves to be a rough job until he convinces Kat to take Milo under her wing. Neither of them thought that working together to help Milo would bring them together in a permanent way.
Even though I've started, or jumped in the middle of, a few small town romance series like this one I've never been able to keep up with any of them. I've always expected that series longer than three books might regurgitate the same plot points or turn into a big snoozefest. Between Snowfall on Haven Point and Serenity Harbor, I'm amazed at how different the two stories are. Yes, there are more cutie pie kids and the love the characters have for animals is evident, but Bowie and Kat kind of beat out Marshall and Andy as the cutest Haven Point couple.
I'm definitely going to make an effort to keep up with the Haven Point series as it continues. I can't imagine who has a story left to tell, but I'm ready for it either way.

Serenity Harbor By RaeAnne Thayne
There’s nowhere like Haven Point, unless it is Serenity Harbor, or so the locals say. Bowie Callahan was too flustered to know whether his recent move was to be a good one. The reason being the six year old boy by his side in the middle of a melt-down.
In enters Katrina Bailey, recently returned from a little village in Colombia. A former teacher, Katrina couldn’t walk away from a child needing help. Six year old Milo Callahan, diagnosed with autism, slowly calmed down with Katrina’s soft voice. Distracting him from his current discontent did the trick.
Amazed, Bowie offered Katrina a nanny position with an astronomical salary. Katrina immediately turned him down. She was focused on one thing, getting back to the little village where a little girl was waiting at an orphanage for Katrina to come get her as soon as adoption legalities could be completed.
Visit Serenity Harbor where community becomes family and neighbors help neighbors to learn what happens to Milo, to a little girl named Gabi, Will Bowie be able to help his brother and learn to accept small town living? Will Katrina travel back to Columbia? Will the adoption go through?
Come watch Wynona and Cade be married with the entire town celebrating. Walk the streets and enjoy Haven Point’s yearly parade, part of the Lake Haven Days. Come experience community at its best, as author RaeAnne Thayne weaves a story you won’t want to miss!

I am really enjoying the Haven Point series by RaeAnne Thayne. They all have been very enjoyable with all the elements one would expect of a small town romance written by one of the best.
Although Serenity Harbor wasn’t my favorite of the series, please don’t let that stop you from picking up this series or this book.
High Points:
-I love this setting and was thrilled to be back in Haven Point and to catch up with all of my favorite characters. The town is just perfect and delivers all the feels.
-I loved that this book focused on some difficult issues like International Adoption (I know how difficult this can be as one of my nieces was adopted from overseas) and Autism.
-The relationship between Milo and Katrina was just precious.
-I loved seeing more of Kat and Wyn’s relationship.
Low Points:
-Katrina just seemed a bit too immature for someone of her age. She kept going on about how important it was for her to change and be more responsible…yet it seemed that she used that as an excuse for more immature behavior.
-Bo was unbelievably forgetful at times. I understand that work can distract and delay one at times…but come on…
DESPITE MY FEW RESERVATIONS…SERENITY HARBOR IS A SWOON WORTHY ADDITION TO THE HAVEN POINT SERIES AND A GREAT SUMMER ESCAPE TO THE LAKE:)
Note: Review copy from publisher, all thoughts and opinions my own.

Serenity Harbor is the newest book in RaeAnne Thayne’s Haven Point series. It’s the story of Bowie and Katrina, two people who aren’t looking for love. Bowie’s life took an unexpected turn when he found he had a little brother he didn’t previously know existed. Now he’s responsible for the little boy who is on the autism spectrum. He has no idea how he can juggle seeing to Milo’s needs as well as work a full-time job. Katrina is the answer to his prayers. Turns out, he can help her. She’s in the middle of complicated adoption proceedings of a little girl in Columbia. When Bowie offers Kat a sizable amount of money to care for Milo until permanent help arrives she can’t refuse him. That money will help her with adoption costs so she accepts the offer. What she didn’t see coming was the attraction to Bowie. She’d been concentrating only on bringing Gabi home to Haven Point – not her love life. She’d made so many mistakes in that area before that she’s going to set her sights on making Gabi’s life better and forget about romance.
I so enjoyed this story of people finding out that perspective can change your idea of how life should go. Yes, a few things worked out much easier than they probably would in real life but this is a novel and I just went with it. I love the series, the characters and the setting and recommend it fans of the author and contemporary, small town romance. *I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review.

RaeAnne Thayne’s Haven Point series is one that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I was awaiting the release of this title and was not disappointed in it. Bowie is desperate for child-care help with this younger brother Milo. Katrina Bailey’s self-image is damaged from her childhood experiences with epilepsy. Katrina is no longer the flighty, dumb girl after her time in Columbia. Katrina is attempting to adopt a young girl with Down’s Syndrome from an orphanage in Columbia. Brodie and Katrina’s story is tender love story and included those who depend on them for love and support. I especially loved the educational techniques used with the Milo. It was wonderful getting bits and pieces of previous characters in the series like McKenzie and Ben from Redemption Bay and Wynona and Wyatt from Riverbend Road. Thumbs up on Serenity Harbor. Anxiously waiting for next addition in the Haven’s Point and Hope’s Crossing series.

Part of the Haven Point Series, in this story, we meet Bowie Callahan, one of the tech brainiacs who works with the other two guys who featured in previous stories. Bowie has just learned he has a brother, only 6 years old, with autism. With their mother dead, it's now Bowie's responsibility to take care of Milo, though he has no idea how.
We also meet Katrina Bailey. She used to teach second grade at the local school, but that was before she went to Columbia and ended up falling in love with a delightful little girl with Down Syndrome. She needs heart surgery and other special care not available in her home country, but that's okay, because Katrina is in the process of adopting her--if only she can get enough money together to pay the in-country attorney claiming to help her.
Help for both of these main characters seems on the way when Bowie hires Katrina, for an outrageous sum, to help care for Milo while Bo is at work. And that money will help Katrina get Gabriela back to the US. In the course of being together so closely, Bo falls for Katrina and she for him, but she refuses to accept that's how she feels. She's learned not to trust men and has decided earlier that she will devote herself to Gabriela and hang any men who get in their way. Bo doesn't give up, but it's only after Milo disappears that the crisis provokes a detente between Bo and Kat that becomes a happily-ever-after.

RaeAnne Thayne has written another sweet, warm hearted, entertaining story with wonderful believable characters. I'm told I smiled the entire time I was reading it! I love that one of the main characters is a young autistic boy, Milo, who receives amazing care from a small town teacher, Kat, who is trying to adopt a three year old special needs girl she met at an orphanage in Columbia. Milo's recently found older half brother, Bowie, is a billionaire tech company guru who is clueless about how to care for his little brother. Bo offers Kat an obscene amount of money to help look after Milo for a few weeks until the autism specialist he hired arrives to take over care of Milo. Kat see the money as a means to pay for the adoption of the little Columbian girl... I highly recommend!

SERENITY HARBOR. (Haven Point #6)
AUTHOR: RaeAnne Thayne
HAVEN POINT is one of my favorite places to visit. It feels like a family reunion. RaeAnne Thayne has masterfully created a charming, small town with the most amazing characters. They jump off the page and become a part of your world.
SERENITY HARBOR is another spectacular addition to the Haven Point Series. Bowie Callahan and Katrina Bailey are the main characters in this sweet love story, but your favorite characters from the previous books appear as well. RaeAnne takes on more heartwarming issues: adoption and autism. Add a budding romance and you have a perfect story.
Bowie is a highly successful computer-tech millionaire who is the guardian for his six year old, autistic half-brother. He just recently discovered that Milo existed. During an awkward situation at the local grocery store, Katrina offers to help with Milo. Bo is impressed with the way she dealt with Milo and offered her a temporary job as his nanny. Katrina has an immediate connection with Milo. The one thing she didn't expect was to find that she had feelings for Bo. She had recently had her heart broken and was extremely vulnerable.
This is a very sweet, heartwarming romance. I applaud RaeAnne for tackling such emotional issues with grace and sensitivity.

“Serenity Harbor” captures and showcases RaeAnne Thayne’s brand of Hope, Healing and Heart.
It is book six of the Haven Point series and gives us Katrina Bailey’s story as she returns to Haven Point for Wynona’s wedding to Cade Emmett (“Riverbend Road”).
Once the wedding festivities are over, Katrina intends to return to Colombia to finish adoption proceedings for little Gabi, who’s been living in an orphanage. Kat doesn’t count on Bowie Callahan or his little brother Milo to capture her heart.
Bowie, new to Haven Point, is still adapting to his team at Caine Tech, and to the little brother he never knew existed until after their mother’s death. Yet Bowie knows he needs help in caring for Milo, who is autistic, and Katrina Bailey comes along at the right moment.
Katrina, a teacher, is compassionate and dedicated to children who need that extra attention.
Bowie, having had a rough childhood, wants to do what is best for Milo and isn’t sure he is the best.
Kat and Bowie are two people who have the determination to become more than what identified them in their youth.
“Serenity Harbor” warms your heart like the setting sun on Lake Haven.
Ms. Thayne is a master storyteller that makes you believe Haven Point actually exists as do the people who live there.

Serenity Harbor is pure sweetness and heart shared in an amazingly loving story. The location is perfect for the story of Bowie, Milo, and Katrina. There is so much need, love, hurt, and fear within the relationship of these three. Each character, even little Milo, have their own history to work through. Bowie and Milo have to deal with the loss of their mother and the rough starts on life she gave each of them. Katrina is dealing with her bad boyfriend choices and the hopes of adopting her daughter.
Katrina is my hero. She takes it upon herself to reach out to a little boy who is obviously struggling with life and make his life so much better. She has the patience and understanding to know what Milo needs and how to reach out to him. Katrina could take a breakdown and turn it around with just a few words. The best part of the story for me is seeing Milo come out of his shell and become more involved in life.
Serenity Harbor is an easy book to read. I fell into the story and didn’t want to come back out. I could feel the love of the town, the townspeople, the families, and Bowie and Katrina. I recommend picking up your own copy.
Thank you Katie Olsen at Little Bird Publicity for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This beautifully crafted story is a wonderful addition to the Haven Point series. I loved watching how the main characters, Bowie and Katrina, grew as people from beginning to end because of the "little people" in the book. Children can do that to a person! Bowie had a very rough road as a child, yet at key moments in his life, adults were placed in his path to help him become who he is professionally - very successful in the technology world. Suddenly, he learns he has a young half-brother who has autism and he has no skills to deal with that. He is incredibly busy at work and doesn't know how to deal with the challenge of his brother, Milo. I worked with autistic children for years and it takes special skills and training. I know exactly how he would feel as I saw parents all the time in a state of bewilderment on what to do! He didn't get Milo until he was 6 so he, especially, doesn't have a clue! Enter Katrina! She is an elementary teacher who is "on sabbatical" and witnesses a meltdown in a grocery store by Milo. She diffuses it and Bowie is so grateful, he offers her a job taking care of Milo! From there the story takes off! Katrina is only temporary as she's leaving the country after her sister's wedding. However, her time with Milo is so amazing to her that she has a hard time leaving AND of course, Bowie, doesn't want her to leave.
This book had so much emotion and tenderness. I fell in love with all the characters. The ending was fantastic and very satisfying. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

SERENITY HARBOR by RaeAnne Thayne is the sixth book in the Haven Point Series but can easily be read as a standalone novel.
Katrina Bailey has returned home to Haven Point for one month only for her sister's wedding. Having learned the hard way that romance is not all it is cracked up to be, Katrina knows that her hometown and the memories here are no longer what matters to her and that her future lies down a different path. But when she spots a little boy who needs her, he will change everything for Katrina...
Bowie Callahan had settled into his new job and his new life in Haven Point but he gets the shock of his life when he discovers he has a little brother who desperately needs him. Determined that Milo, who has autism, will have a better childhood than he had, Bowie wants to raise him but he knows he needs help.
When Katrina comes to his rescue in the supermarket, Bowie knows she is the answer to his prayers. But as Bowie and Katrina spend more time together they both realise that they could become so much more than friends if they can both let go of their damaged pasts and embrace a new life together.
SERENITY HARBOR by RaeAnne Thayne is a lovely, charming story that will melt your heart and make you beam from ear to ear. Haven Point is a beautiful and interesting community and I love all the different interactions and gossip that flies through the grapevine, and you really feel like you are a part of this town as the story progresses. The characters are well-developed and likeable and the story never lagged for me.
SERENITY HARBOR by Rae Anne Thayne is a story of family, love, and overcoming the past, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was a wonderful addition the series. Ms. Thayne often incorporates conditions into her books that the characters struggle with. In Serenity Harbor she embraced the conditions of autism and Down Syndrom. The hero, Bowie, has just discovered that he has a six year old brother with autism and the heroine, Katrina, is trying her hardest to adopt a little girl with Down Syndrom from another country. Katrina has special training that enables her to interact brilliantly with Milo, the little boy with autism. She connects with him in a way that Bowie can't even begin to. She teaches him and us, the readers understanding of and compassion for those with autism. Ms. Thayne did a brilliant job portraying the hardships suffered by those with the condition (although I'm not sure going to see fireworks is something they would enjoy doing).
Through all that, the romance is not lost. Bowie and Katrina are undeniably attracted to each other. Katrina is fairly determined not to act on the attraction due to the fact that she is only back in town for two weeks for her sister's wedding before she is set to return to Colombia to try to wrap up the adoption. There are things blocking her way. Bowie can help her, but will she let him? What if he wants her to accept him as part of the deal?
Another great book by RaeAnne Thayne!

Katrina is back to her hometown for a wedding and then will go back to Columbia to start the process of adopting her daughter. Bowie just recently come to care for his younger brother who is on the autism spectrum. Seeing how much of a natural Katrina is with his younger brother Bowie offers a large sum of money for her to watch his for a brief period of time until she has to go back.
I really loved this book it was sweet and I loved seeing how Katrina was with Bowies brother. I loved that she was the type of person who is at least trying learn from her past and trying to no repeat past mistake. I thought it was interesting how she handle those around her and seeing how they treated her. I though it was interesting getting both of the main characters POV as well as their backstories which explained why they did certain things they do currently. I loved how they tried to improved from their own pasts to make themselves better. I appreciate the accurate portrayal of autism that went along in this book, it wasn't based of stereotypes which drive me nuts. I actually have a mild form of autism (Aspergers) and my younger brother has just full blown autism similar to Bowies brother. Overall this book was pretty good, I really enjoyed it.

RaeAnne Thayne is such an amazing author!
I seriously could NOT put this book down until I absolutely devoured each and every page. RaeAnne Thayne is my absolute favorite escape. She is able to suck my whole heart and soul into the story and characters. I get so emotionally invested in her books. Serenity Harbor is the perfect addition to the Haven Point Series.
I was so excited to learn Serenity Harbor was Katrina's story. Katrina is not the flighty party girl she use to be. All she wants in life now is to adopt a beautiful orphaned little girl that she felt an instant connection with. When she meets handsome Bowie and his little brother Milo it is plainly clear, sophisticated Bowie is not capable of caring for his younger brother. When Bowie offers Katrina the opportunity of a lifetime, she can't help but accept.
This is a heartwarming story about family and love. And the journey these two go through to have both. I absolutely recommend this story!!! It is a MUST read. I'm almost sad I already finished this book. I want more! I have such a great love for these characters. I'm so very attached to them all. I'm already anxiously awaiting RaeAnne Thaynes next book!

In Serenity Harbor by RaeAnne Thayne, we are once again visiting the wonderful town of Haven Point. Bowie Callahan is a sexy, sweet, computer genius who has overcome a horrible childhood and, now, has custody of his adorable, challenging brother, Milo. Katrina Baily is a former, flighty flirt who has fallen in love with an adorable, orphaned, little girl named Gabi with special needs.
Kat has a warmth and repour with Milo that Bowie envies. He needs Kat to help him reach Milo but he also needs her for himself. Kat has put aside everything in her life to become Gabi's mother but she also has deep feelings for Bowie.
Kat and Bowie must struggle with their love for the children in their lives and their love and desire for one another. Both feel they have something to prove to themselves and the children in their lives.
Thayne creates wonderful, endearing, complex characters in her novels that make you long to know them better. She creates warm, friendly, enchanting towns you want to live in. I can't get enough of RaeAnne Thayne's towns and her endearing characters. I loved Serenity Harbor and I know you will too. I can't recommend RaeAnne Thayne's sweet romances enough!!!

Amazing book!!!! This is another story in the Haven Point series about Katrina Bailey and Bowie Callahan. Bowie is trying to raise his young half brother who is autistic, unfortunately, Bowie needs help. Katrina is home for a few months and decides to help with Bowie's brother, Milo. It is supposed to be a temporary position because Katrina has to go back to Columbia, where she is trying to adopt a mentally handicapped little girl. Not only did this book have a great romance, because the chemistry and friendship that develops between Katrina and Bowie is awesome but both of them have opened themselves up to care for special needs children. It made for such a heartwarming story, this has truly been my favorite so far!!!

Katrina Bailey was an elementary school teacher but took a leave from her job to follow her boyfriend to South America. When things didn't work out, she found herself stranded there. She started teaching English in Colombia and met a child with Down Syndrome in an orphanage. The two bonded and Kat was trying to adopt the little girl. She planned to return to Haven Point with her. Kat has to return to Haven Point without Gabi to tend to her maid of honor duties for her sister, Wynona's, wedding. The attorney she has been using in Colombia has been asking for more money to handle the adoption. After she steps in and helps Bowie Callahan handle his younger brother's meltdown in the grocery store, Bowie offers her a job as Milo's nanny for the three weeks until the wedding and her subsequent return to Colombia. How can she refuse $12,000 for three weeks of work with a darling little boy who is on the Autism Spectrum? Bowie has just found out that his little brother even exists and now he is the boy's guardian. He is totally out of his comfort zone and desperately needs Katrina's help. The story, of course has conflict, but shows these children with special needs in such a warm way. It was such a joy to read. I received the book in exchange for an honest review. I have never read a RaeAnne Thayne book I did not like and this one did not disappoint.

Another trip to Haven Point…it is always brings me comfort, joy, and a smile! Serenity Harbor, the newest RaeAnne Thayne book about Haven Point/Serenity Harbor, is about Bowie Callahan and Katrina (Kat) Bailey. It IS a standalone story however if you have read the other books about this town and the surrounding area, you will recognize many of the characters. I won’t go into detail because I cannot even begin to get it right but Ms. Thayne tells the story of these two (slightly) broken individuals who are wary of anyone and anything…and their journey to an HEA. I loved Bowie – Milo, too! – because they are so very lifelike and real in their feelings that you just want to gather them into a warm hug. And Kat, talk about single-minded and headstrong! But she, too, has a good heart buried under a lifetime of hurts and misplaced self-dislike. I always enjoy the depth of the characters that Ms. Thayne writes and this book truly delivers. I can appreciate Bowie’s lost soul, in a world filled with “feelings” and his growth as a man makes for great reading. I am a fan of this series and all of this author’s writings so I highly recommend.

Katrina Bailey is an English teacher living in Columbia. She wants to adopt a local child but lacks the money for all the paperwork. Kat travels to Haven Point, Idaho for her sister’s wedding. She grew up in this town and plans to stay with her family for a few weeks.
While in Idaho, Kat sees a six year old boy having a meltdown in a grocery store. She distracts and soothes the child who is named Milo. His brother Bowie observes the interaction and is impressed with Kat’s skills. Bowie has been caring for Milo since his mother’s death and he is ill equipped to deal with his autism. He has a high pressured job running a software company and knows very little about children with learning disabilities. Bowie is in a bind and hires Kat to help Milo during her stay. This is the sixth book in the Haven Point series and it can be read as a stand alone book. The story shows people with different experiences coming together after a chance encounter. I enjoyed this well written novel by RaeAnne Thayne.

A sweet contemporary romance in the Haven Point series.
Samantha Freemont returns to her home town for her sister's wedding after following her ex to another country.
She meets Bowie Callahan, a young man who just received custody of his very young half-brother after his mother's death. Bowie was unaware of Milo and totally unprepared to be a caretaker of a youngster with Autism.
Samantha interrupts one of Milo's meltdowns and aside from the attraction he feels for the pretty schoolteacher, he is impressed with her grasps of his brother's condition. She accepts his offer of temporary employment only to fall hard for the brothers, but she needs to get back to Columbia to achieve the goal that was most important to her, and the reason she accepted the job......Gabi.
Incredible descriptions of the day-to-day normals with a child with mid-spectrum autism and the interactions between the principals.
I highly recommend it.

Katrina Bailey comes home to Serenity Harbor for a summer break from teaching school. She meets Bowie Callahan who just found out he has a younger brother,Milo. Milo has autism and Bowie must find a way to commicate with his brother. Katrina has found a child, Gabi, she wants to adopt from Columbia. He needs help with his younger brother; Katrin needs to earn money to bring her adopted daughter to the U. S. Bowie pays her a huge sum of money to watch Milo for several weeks so he can continue his job. She takes the job, thinking of Gabi. As they get to know each other better, they fall in love. Will Katrina get to bring Gabi back and will she, Gabi, Milo and Bowie end up together as a family or will the adoption reductions from another country come between them? You'll have to read it to find out for yourself. This ARC was sent to me by a publisher for an honest review. The reader cheers at the small, but significant steps Milo makes in autism throughout the story. It is proof that the disability does not define a person and a person isn't defined by a disability. The human spirit overcomes many obstacles.

What you may see on the exterior is not necessarily what's on the inside. Bowie Callahan comes across as rough and self-centered. He finds himself the guardian of Milo, a six year old autistic half brother he never knew he had until their Mother passes away. Enters Katrina Bailey who calms down Milo who was about ready to have a tantrum while at the store. Seems a bond between the child and woman surfaced immediately. Bowie was awed by the liking Milo took to Katrina as well as her beauty. Finding out she was only going to be in town for a few weeks he offered her a good deal of money for her to be temporary caretaker for Milo. After careful thought she accepted and a beautiful relationship between all three developed, softening Bowie and bringing out the little boy in Milo.
Book #6 in the Haven Point series delivers another wonderful story of warmth, love and bonding as only RaeAnne Thayne can do.

Computer-tech millionaire Bowie Callahan is about the last person that schoolteacher Katrina Bailey wants to work for. As far as she can see, he's arrogant, entitled and not up to the task of caring for his young half brother, Milo. But Kat is, especially if it brings her closer to her goal of adopting an orphaned little girl. And as her kindness and patience work wonders with Milo, she realizes there's more to sexy, wary Bo than she'd ever realized.
Bo never imagined he'd be tasked with caring for a sibling he didn't know existed. Then again, he never pictured himself impulsively kissing vibrant, compassionate Katrina in the moonlight. Now he's ready to make her dream of family come true…and hoping there's room in it for him, too… (less)

A heartwarming and emotional story that will make you laugh and cry. Very well written and it will grab your attention from the very beginning and all the way to the end of the story. I hated to see the story end. It is a story of a 6 year old autistic boy Milo, his half brother Bowie, and Katrina. Bowie ends up being a guardian for a brother he did not even know existed. Having a hard time handling Milo during one of his meltdowns in the grocery store they run into Katrina a schoolteacher who knows how to deal with an autistic child. Bowie begs her to come and help in out for 2 weeks until the specialist can get there.Read the story to see how it all turns out. You will not be sorry. My new favorite of the Haven Point series.

RaeAnne Thayne has done it again. Serenity Harbor is a great book with a heartwarming story about strength and love.
This story hits very close to my heart since I have a son with a form of Autism. I love how Kat recognizes the problems Milo has and is able to communicate with him. She is also able to help Bowie find a way to communicate with Milo too. They work thru lots of ups and downs to find a happy ever after for all of them.
This is a very touching story. You really must read this book to understand all the emotions. This is the best book in this series so far. I loved seeing all the folks in Haven Point and meeting the new comers in the community. I am looking forward to more great stories from Haven Point.

I loved the latest addition to Haven Point. Bowie and his just discovered half-brother Milo have just moved here. Bowie is one of the founders of Caine along with Aiden and Ben.
Katrina is the younger sister of Wynona and is in town for her wedding. The story is sweet and romantic. The description of Milo and autism is beautifully drawn. Kats' ability to reach him is
the root of this story. I enjoyed every page and couldn't stop reading it, up long into the night.

RaeAnne Thayne has proven that love comes in all shapes and forms. For Bowie Callahan, finding out he has a special needs brother proves that even in the most difficult situations, the best can come out of it. And in this case, it was Katrina, who is also bringing new love into her life in the form of Gabi, the daughter she is so wanting to include in her family. Love is facing obstacles that make life better and in this case, both Bowie and Katrina have obstacles to face and find that facing them together makes everything work. You won’t be disappointed!

An emotionally charged story that had me captivated from beginning to end. The hearts the two main characters, Bowie and Katrina "Kat", have are incredible and the slow building relationship between them is perfect. The interaction between Bowie and his younger brother Milo just made my heart feel good. Katrina was just as wonderful with Milo and the unconditional love she had for a young girl she's trying to adopt was beautiful. I don't want to say too much about the story because I think everyone should experience this one as it unfolds on the pages. Put this one on the top of the must read list. I highly recommend it.

There’s not much pop or wow here, even in terms of the romance. Bowie is a hero you can admire, including Katrina, the heroine who really doesn’t want to be tied down in one place; not even her hometown where she can grow and thrive. Her one purpose in life is to adopt a mentally handicapped little girl on the other side of the world, but that is a trial for her because she doesn’t have enough money to do so. She accepts Bowie’s job offer to care for Milo because Katrina has experience teaching kids with handicaps, such as Autism. Most of the plot is just Bowie and Katrina interacting and talking on behalf of Milo, who is the one spark in this novel because he has a unique personality, unlike the main couple that are more on the dull side.
