This is the usual Dean Koontz nail biter. Lots of suspense, weird happenings, strange characters. After all, it is SciFi. But if you are a Dean Koontz fan, you will not be disappointed. His main characters are endearing (you can't help but root for them) and I am glad there is a sequel "Seize the Night" and hopefully by some miracle all will turn out well for the hero, Christopher Snow, his dear friends ,and that definitely includes his faithful, super intelligent Orson. I love Koontz' use of words. He never fails in that respect. One of his best -- but I have yet to be disappointed in any of his books.

Having accidentally read the second book first, this book explained a lot! I enjoyed the story very much and would love to see more of this character and his friends (especially Orson!). Won't go wrong with this one!

Doing what Koontz does best, creating characters you love and want to visit again with nail biting suspense. Did not drag in places as some of his plots can do but left me eager for the sequel which I also read.

The author's masterful scene description, character development and action-packed narrative will make the average fiction aficionado crave more from Mr. Koontz. Thank heavens Dean Koontz has proven himself to be a prolific author.

So in love with this book! Great read. The human to animal interaction is one of the reasons Koontz shines in so many of his books. If you love dogs, you will love this book. Great plot, action packed, intoxicating read.

Loved this book and seriously could not put it down. The deep caring of the characters for each other is fantastic and really makes it great. Disappointed that I can't purchase the third installment in this series on the store.

The story was OK, though I prefer Odd Thomas... The problem was the eBook / Kindle edition was almost painful to read due to the double spaced lines. Blech...
UPDATE....
I was very new to Kindle when I wrote the above review and now know how to adjust line spacing. Still not overly impressed with the story, but I'm so taken with Odd Thomas that it may well be biasing my opinions of other work by Mr. Koontz.

Dean Koontz is always fun. This narrator has a fun, wry sense of humor similar to Odd Thomas's. However, the (spoiler alert) government-science-experiment scenario is a bit tired. Still, I enjoyed the book.

I like Dean Koontz. However this story could have been written in 3 chapters, instead of an entire book. It reminded me of his book, Watchers, which was excellent. The story line in Fear Nothing was shallow and extremely under developed.
