A gripping thriller that will have you hooked (Detective Robyn Carter crime thriller series Book 1)

This was a really good book. It has some disturbing parts that may be too sensitive for some readers especially as it involved children. Robyn has some secrets of her own! You won't know until the end!

While this story was compelling it was also a trifle confusing jumping from the then to the now and changing the names of the main characters from their childhood to the present. However. It was a good read.

I enjoyed parts of this book. Personally I felt it was difficult to follow with all the different characters/plots each getting their own chapter. They do start coming together halfway through, at which point I was starting to forget who some people were. Decent story that keeps you attention but too confusing for me.

This was a very compelling story and kept you guessing until the very end. I had picked several characters before the actual ending proved me wrong. I like the writer's style and will read other books written by her.

I loved the characters. You are encouraged to not put this book down to discover
each and everyone and where you are taken. Surprises at every turn. It's a wonderful novel I will read again because I feel once is not enough to study each and everyone.

This was a very interesting read. Very suspenseful. The young villain was very broken but story was so well written you actually felt for her. She so wanted to be loved. Well written, took me awhile to figure out who we who. Would recommend to any one who likes to know the why as well as the who.

I thought the book was enjoyable, though I would have liked a little more depth to the development of support characters. Also the end of the story (no spoilers!) was a little anticlimactic, but all in all I thought it was a fun read and would read more of Carol Wyer’s books in the future :)

I was hooked on this book from the beginning. That's the main reason I gave it a five. It took a but to understand the difference in chapters and the chronological order but after I got it , it was smooth sailing. Definitely recommend to those who like thrillers and mysteries.
