This is very different from the usual Kathy Reichs' novels, but it is extremely entertaining and just as spellbinding! Although the storyline is not as "reality" based as the Temperence Brennan series, Tory has her own endearing qualities that draw you to her and you can't help but cheer her on.

A bit like a cross between your normal Kathy Reichs fiction and Twilight. Plenty of mystery and science with a good dollop of teenage angst and a healthy slathering of fantasy. Teenagers accidentally become genetically modified and gain werewolf like powers while investigating a mystery. Powers help them solve mystery, parents remain in ignorance of most of what goes on. Teenagers will love it.

Kathy Reichs has an interesting take on the Nascar circuit and has wove an interesting mystery. Interesting character development. This Dr. Brennan is completely different from the Dr. Brennan on TV. I really enjoy this one's personality more.

Unique twist on Dr. Brennan's great-niece (Tory calls her her "Aunt" but she would be a GREAT-AUNT since Tory's father is Dr. Brennan's nephew (and Tory is his daughter).

This is a fun adventure series for a change-of-pace read!

Being a NASCAR fan I found that including the Charlotte racetrack as a backdrop was and interesting setting for this book. Intertwining an extremist group with the behavior of fanatic followers of a sport was cool. Both appear to resist change and will act out with behavior that is not acceptable in our country. The I really liked the character Galimore. I would like to see more of him in some of the Brennan series.

Kathy's knowledge and interest in the geographical areas of her work/travels is sometimes boring to others (get on with the story), but I learn so much about these parts of the world through her eyes and words. The book wasgreat.

I found the book to be interesting and recommend it to young adults who wish to learn about a variety of different things. The Virals concept is something new -- no vampires -- and the books are will written, of course.

I have dodged these books, but after reading a particularly bad book. I thought ahhh Kathy, yes I need a Kathy Reichs fix, now, I am hooked and have downloaded the entire series of Tory Brennan stories, they do not disappoint, sit back read and enjoy.

Like Michener, she wraps the reader in setting, giving them a true feel for the place, the people and the times. While the stories tend to repeat a delightful, but predictable, pattern, she makes them alive by her ability to make the reader experience the story as it unfolds. I could almost smell the sweet, sticky southern air . . . .

Book arrived quickly and in great shape. It was packaged in it own plastic wrapper inside the box. I haven't read it yet so I can't rate the the book content but i assume it will be similar to the other 7 I already read. I would do business with this vendor again.

i just purchased this book because it was written by Kathy. I was disappointed when i realized the main character was a teenager and the context..i didn't read what it was going to be about.. after a couple of chapters i couldn't put the book down. it was very good.

The Virals aka Fantastic four(Tori, Ben, Shelton, and Hiram)…Excellent well written novel. One of the best series of books out! I will definitely be reading the next books in the series! Kathy Reichs keep writing more books! So fast paced and entertaining!

Flash and bones is almost as masterfully written as a Kay Scarpetta novel. You really feel cold of the steel tables and spiders crawling at the crime scenes. The interpersonal working of each character is almost as interesting as the forensic science, both are written so well. I would recommend this to lovers of this type of genre, however anyone who is easily creped out may not enough it as much.

I found this book to be quite different from most of Reich's books. Time and time again I wondered if there was a ghost writer involved. I must admit, I am not a NASCAR fan. There just was no familiarity of the characters. Tempe was not her adventuresome self. If I could have figured out how to give half stars I would have rated it a 2.5 star only.

This was my first experience with this author and I loved her writing. It was a great story line, good characters, and the subtle humor
of her phraseology was perfect. I'm already planning to order her next book.

All Tempe Brennan books are great. I have read many other authors and Kathy just seems to get it, she's a mom, has men issuse and she works just like the rest of us, without too much bitching, just enough.

Resourceful (albeit a little too cavalier with legalities...!) bunch of teens break into uncharted territory when they go 'viral' -and I don't mean on the Internet! Smart kids with the right dose of spirit - a good series for YA's.

I do read the Temperance Brennan books as escape literature, and this book does provide the light reading I enjoy. While minor characters are flat, the main characters are more developed and show change as they have experiences.

Since Kathy Reichs' books are based on her experience and thus have all of the technical expertise you would ever want. I tend to like the ones set in Canada better though. I suppose it could be the interaction with a certain Canadian!

Reichs always comes up with a great plot and carries it through clear to the end! Staying true to her characters and keeping you on the edge really never knowing which way she will develop it and where she will take you.

I always love Reichs' snappy repartee, her character development, and the science. While I am not a NASCAR fan, I found myself totally caught up in the ambiance she created in this book. A roaring good tale!
