Well I've found a new writer!!! I couldn't put down the trilogy. When I read that this was he's first novel, I was amazed. I am so looking forward to more from this novelist, they could only be better if they were longer.

Enjoyed all 3 books and have read several of this author's books. Strong main characters and plot but would have enjoyed a little more development of some of the secondary characters. (Alys and Alessandra mostly)

This is the best series I've read since I got my kindle 3 years ago. You will love and hate these characters like you do in all the great classics. This is the first time I've ever written a review so don't judge me.
The Well of Ascension: Book Two of Mistborn :: Warbreaker :: Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury (2007-08-28) :: Bradbury Stories: 100 of His Most Celebrated Tales :: Red Country (First Law World)

This was terrible novel with stiff writing and appalling grammar. Don't waste your time or money. The dull nearly nonexistent character development was torture and made worse by the idiotic traits of the one character we do know. Soren is a stupid as he is one dimensional. The only interesting person wad the intelligencer in th third book. his life seems much more thoughtg out than Sorens story and you're worse off for rreading this book thaan you would be otherwise.

This story could have been great. If you like a hero who's life is one horrible event after another it still might be. The characters were well done as was most of the story line. But I just can't take a story where misery after misery falls to the hero. In that way the story is in a rut. I just had to stop reading after the Duke was assassinated and the banner was shredded. That was the last straw for me.

This plot is a bit simple and follows predictable lines with a few quirks thrown in. I enjoyed it but it includes many examples of utterly unnecessary foul language. Mr Hamilton using the f word doesn't make your characters stronger or fouler, it only makes your writing weaker.

Duncan, I really enjoyed reading this series. It was a great story well written and told. I enjoyed the rags to riches story with all the twists and turns and imaginative intrigue. The story was a barn burner and extremely hard to put down once begun. I highly recommend reading this wonderful series to everyone interested in reading a great story.

This is the first book review I've written, because these are the first books worthy of 5 stars I've read on the store. Well written, well edited, and most importantly, WELL WRITTEN. Engaging characters, and a bit of every fantasy genre; sword fighting, barbarian hordes, swashbuckling, rescued princesses, subterfuge, assassins, evil monarchs, and subtle magics.

Hamilton has quickly joined the list of my favorite authors.

Amazing story! I couldn't put these books down and have fallen in love with the characters! The only bad thing about these books is that the story eventually comes to an end! The story grabs you and keeps you in it's grasp from the very beginning.

A great trilogy, read after "the wolf of the north" which I enjoyed as much as any novel I have ever read! Really enjoyable mixture of action and magic. Plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Would recommend this series (and author) very highly.
