The Novice (Summoner) by Taran Matharu (2016-01-28)

This is a five star story with cliff hanger twist at the end. Instead of giving the reader a complete adventure, the author chose to steal the show at the end and leave the reader unsatisfied and hanging in the air.
I LOVED THE STORY, but I will not read any more books in the series. I read for my enjoyment, not for the author's income. Please don't try and hook me with a cheat ending. (Make the ending really good and I'll go hunt for more books by that author. Too bad.)

I came into this book with no expectations, but found myself having fun. It brought back nostalgia from when I was young. Reading H.P. only... more bad ass. Looking poking forward to continuing onward.

I found that the story was not very surprising for the most part. Most of the characters were decent other than the villains of the story, off of which were the same person, Joffrey from Game of Thrones. GoT had a decent influence on the book, but it didn't stray far from being generic.

Overall the book is a little pricy, but was an easy and fun read.

Already read this trilogy three times and still get on edge. I often find myself accidentally skipping over parts that I've remembered by heart. Thank you Taran Matharu for giving material I will never get tired of reading.

Gets four stars because the writing isn't the best in the world. I can't help but love a book that starts with an orphan blacksmith. Tried and true gold. Quick and easy ready for anyone just looking to blow through a book in a day or two.
