College Algebra (6th Edition)

Great deal, Great price! Book was brand new or at least appeared to be. No torn pages, no writing or marks in the book and this purchase from the store saved me over $100.00 of what I would have paid on campus at the bookstore!!!

This book was required for my daughter's college alegbra class and the school sold out before she was able to purchase one. I immediately went to the store and ordered it "hassle-free" and for LESS than the school was selling it for. The book was in perfect condition and it arrived in record time. We were both completely satisfied with this purchase!!

This textbook was a waste of money. The author seems to expect you to know everything prior to learning it, and the book is mostly just filled with exercises without proper explanation. My class lectures are short, and I end up spending hours on YouTube just to get the gist of what's going on in this book! Might be better for a younger student with more time, but for me it's just a waste of time and money. Also, don't be fooled by the motorcycle graphic on the cover--algebra is NOT that cool.

I'm a college student currently using this textbook. I'm great at Math, straight As, and this text book is very poorly written, confusing, and the examples do not go into detail. They skip steps and I am very disappointed that I have to use this book the entire semester. IF ANY COLLEGE ADMINISTRATORS ARE READING THIS, PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT TEXTBOOK FOR YOUR COLLEGE.

Typically students who struggle with understanding of material refernce the book. By doing so, they can gain the knowledge to look at a problem and find the steps necessary to explain why the answer is the way it is. The hope is to gain better understanding of what was difficult to understand in lecture. This book does not fufill that requirement. For it comes off that he used a graphing calculator and expects others to understand his logic. Save yourself some grief and avoid this material. Theres no glossary, and the dvd accompanying is explained by more than one individiual. None of which, who are the author. Why is that?

Dropbox is a cloud-based site that lets you share folders of documents, answer keys (pdfs), pictures etc. Good tool to work on assignments together while not actually being together. You should check it out. I used it with friends to get through this class. If you're gonna try it please use my link below because I can get more free space. Thanks!

I am very disappointed in this company. Even though I paid for expedited shipping, I did not receive the book until more than 2 weeks after I placed the order. Because of this, I had to purchase the same book at the college student store, as it was needed for a class. I have tried THREE times to contact the company to find out how to return the book and get reimbursed, and have not yet received an answer.

This book was purchased New but did not come with the code needed to do the classwork making this book worthless . In the future books that should have codes should have them or they should be sold "as is" .
