Roulette Redux (Black Light Series Book 7) - Black Light

Roulette Redux is the seventh book of the Black Light series but the first I've read and my brain is on overload from all the kink in this book! The Black Light is holding it's second annual Valentine's event, randomly pairing Doms and subs with the spin of a roulette wheel. The sub then spins for the kink they will play. The prize for lasting all three hours is a free month at Black Light. Each story in the collection features one of the couples and is written by a different author but they fit together seamlessly as a whole.

Some of these stories pushed my comfort level more than others but they are all excellent. I do have some favorites though, in particular, Forced by Renee Rose, Surrender by Maggie Ryan, and Taken by Jane Henry. Black Light: Roulette Redux is a spellbinding read and I am obsessed with this series now. This book is an unforgettable read.

So, I've been waiting impatiently for this book for *months*. After finding Black Light through last year's Roulette, I've devoured every book in the series. Several times. Waiting for this continuation has been the worst kind of torture - but ultimately, oh so worth it. They're all hot as hell, but some of my favorites are:

"Unrestrained" by Jennifer Bene - Bianca is a true masochist; but luckily Silas is a talented sadist. The scenes aren't for the faint. Bene's talent in bringing you into the world she's describing leaves you vulnerable to the intensity of their play. It's insanely fierce, sexy and sensual all at the same time.

"Forced" by Renee Rose - I love a good scene like this; someone who needs to be forced to lose control, and Rose writes a great one.

"Surrender" by Maggie Ryan - I've loved Charlie, Dillon, Owen and Marty since meeting them in another Black Light book. Owen's character was hinted at in such a way that you were dying to see more of; who he is as a Dom, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. His intensity and mastery kept me riveted throughout the story.

I finished this book in one day; now, the only problem is that I have to wait another year for the next anthology!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I was unaware of this Black Light series before reading this work. I was engrossed from the first pages. It was different to read a work set this way. It was exciting to read all of the novellas regarding the night from the different authors' styles. I am now intensely interested in reading the other pieces of the series. All of the characters in the book were interesting and varied. I was very impressed with Renee Rose's handling of a fantasy that may be harder for some readers to get through. It was one of my favorite pieces of the collection. All in all there was not a single piece in the book that was not an excellent example of BDSM activity and talent. I liked the side drama that played as a thread that tied all of the stories together. I would recommend this piece to anybody who enjoys intense not necessarily dark BDSM dynamic play reading.

Wow what an Anthology!. I did think about writing a review about each of the books, then I saw how many reviews been written that went on and on with each individual book. I thought about what I would like to read that was short and sweet. All nine authors are well established and accomplished. I have previously read 8 of them and they are my go to authors. The only author I haven’t read is Maren Smith. Shameless is a glimpse into the pairing of Garrett & Hadlee tbc.... and what an engrossing slice of red hot chemistry it was. The only thing I think was missing was a sensual love scene between them. It was a case of ..... and hours later.... I cannot wait for more from them. Maren is now added to my must read authors with the accompanying 8. I cannot recommend this Anthology highly enough, all worth more than their 5 stars. I had a very tough time writing this review. I've gone back and forth between 3 and 4 stars. I did like it but I didn't love it so I settled on rounding up to 4 stars. There isn't any one thing that I can point to that made me not love it. The writing is actually pretty good and all the stories held my attention. But that was part of the problem, I didn't realize it was a group of short stories (or that the stories were written by different people) when I agreed to read and review. I also didn't realize I was jumping into the middle of a series, although each couple did receive at least a HFN ending. Some of the stories were a little more hard core than I normally would read but I would read all the authors again.

I read Black Light: Valentines Roulette last year and loved it. So I knew I HAD to read this one! It did NOT disappoint! WOW---It is HAWT HAWT HAWT! While each novella stands alone-there were key items that appeared in each one to maintain consistency of different stories at the same event. I think it's super amazing that these writers were able to do that! Seamlessly tied in pieces made it a whole and as you finished each novella you just knew you had to read on! All of the writers were amazing--but imho Renee Rose outdid herself in Forced. I can't find the words to describe it without giving things away--suffice to say it's a super must read in a collection of must reads. <3 Highly recommend this anthology and hope they plan another for next year!

If you haven't read any of the other Black Light books, this is a great selection to get you started, you'll want to read the rest! Filled with ultra dominant, in control and arrogant men with submissive yet strong willed and charismatic woman. The ride in these books was definitely adventurous and crazy awesome. These authors know how to capture your imagination and make you want to participate. Highly recommend this collection.

This was an interesting collection of Doms and Subs who took part in a special valentines event at the BDSM club.

It show cased a variety of different desires and options of play that the higher class dungeon called Black light would provide. it was interesting to watch how each couple played and what each considered limits.

The author did an excellent job of providing very easy to understand descriptions in a story form of each of the different types of Doms and Subs while making it very entertaining. Also interesting was to see which ones carried this lifestyle into their personal lives or not.

This is a collection of books by different authors that center around a BDSM club called Blacklight. This is the 2nd annual Valentines roulette where Doms are randomly paired up with a sub then they spin the wheel to pick different scenes to play out minus there hard limits. The "winners" get a free membership to Blacklight. The scenes run the gamut from "regular" whipping to "subgenre" like Adult Diaper Baby Love ( think I remember the acronym right) . The couples also run from complete strangers to a divorced couple. But through all of this, Love manages to bloom and the unspoken undercurrent of Fate runs through all the stories. If you are not comfortable with BDSM, this is not the book for you.

It was set of multiple stories revolving around Valentine's Day by multiple authors. This was the first time I have read anything by many of the authors and I can't wait to read other stories by them. I also want to go back and read the start of this series.

OMG what a super hot collection of stories all revolving around the BDSM club, Black Light, written by some of my favorite, as well as some of my new favorite authors. It had sex. It had punishments. It had rewards. It had betrayal. It had love and romance. It had second chances. Did I mention it had sex? Each story centered on one couple's journey into the Black Light club, where they either searched for or rediscovered what they were missing in their lives. I have several of the other Black Light stories in my TBR file, and can't wait to get to reading them for further insight into these people's lives. I truly enjoyed each and every story included in this collection. They characters involved were interesting and their kink varied in pretty much every way possible. I found myself holding my breath, laughing, cringing, and a bit...... damp, a time or two, lol.
If you enjoying couples, enjoying their kinky selves, this is CERTAINLY a book for you. If you're easily shocked, or offended, consider this your warning and just move on along.

Roulette Redux is one of the hottest reads I have read and should not be read alone. All the authors who contributed to this collection did an amazing job and I loved each story as much as the last one. I am incredibly impressed with the opening and how each story was intertwined with the introduction but went its own way from there. This book includes nine stories of different kinks that happen during a three hour time period and each one will take you on a ride from emotional, raw and flat out kink.

WIthin this set is a group of authors I love and adore and then I found some new ones that I will need to go out and purchase more books from.

I absolutely 100% adored this book. I didn't really read the synopsis before I requested it so when I got to the end of the first part I was ready to scream - and then the most wonderful thing happened, we got to delve into each of the roulette players scenes - I was utterly joyful and smitten from the very beginning. There were 2 stories I didn't like much but overall this book was spectacular! Bene is now one of my top favourite authors and I just can't get enough - I'll have to look into most of these authors now for other works because - they suck you in and just play with your mind. Loved the story line. Great fantasy and well written. All the stories take place at the Black Light Club, seamlessly blending individual stories within the shared location. Events and shared characters show up in all the stories, making you feel as if you're walking through the club that night with them. Every individual story is about a M/f relationship, and much explanation and detail is given about different fetishes in the book. It's very enlightening, and makes me more understanding of what draws people to be interested in this lifestyle. Worth the read.

I was so excited to read this anthology as some of my favorite authors have a story in it ; and they didn't disappoint and the new ones I got introduced to , were fantastic.

This is a extraordinary anthology; the stories flow , weaves , interconnect flawlessly.

This book is hot, smutty with explicit descriptive sexual situations, it's contains many taboo subjects and intense kink play. This book is not for the faint of heart, is dark , raw and have multitudes of triggers.

Black Light BDSM Club and members is the focus for Roulette Redux. Most of the subs are new to the lifestyle and the roles they spin for are the beginning subjects of each chapter. The scenes & roles are definitely defined as "to each his own" and an open mind by the reader is necessary. As spins are made, scenes change and some even gain new partners. Back stories for characters weren't as well written as the first Roulette night, but plenty of sex to keep the topic hot! A good book to recommend for readers that like a variety of kink and a bit of romance.

Another fabulous story. I love how so many authors can write their own stories but they roll together. There were a few moments of ahhhh!!! What happened to kitty girl? Is she going to be okay? Will Evan get his just deserts? And for goodness sake is Emma pregnant? Hopefully the next book gives us these very important answers!
There was one story based on a rape premise and I was nervous but it was handled very well and helped address an issue of self that many wowen struggle with. All around bravo to all the authors, job well done

I haven’t read the original stories ( I am definitely going to read them now) so I wasn’t sure how this box set would go. Although it would have been nice to know the back stories it isn’t necessary. This is a fantastic box set!! Highly recommended. While each story is unique, they all blend together wonderfully. I would love to see some follow up stories showing how the couples are doing later on. I’m looking forward to reading the previous books and even more excited to see the next set. WOW!! This is a collection of really hot steamy BDSMs from some very talented writers: some my favorite and a few new to me. I really enjoyed this collection and definitely recommend them. Just make sure you are not around anyone when you read them. I tried reading part while I was at spot waiting and quickly thought twice. There is a summary of each novella, an introduction and conclusion plus each story is woven together fabulously. They are that hot and steamy but great novellas.

Even though this is book 7 of the Black Light series, you can certainly read it as a stand alone. This anthology includes some of my favorite authors and some I am less familiar with. But what they all have in common is great writing skills and an understanding of the BDSM genre. I’ve now found a couple of authors I’ve added to my “to be read” queue. These stories all have well written characters, are well written, fast paced, and the chemistry is hot. Well done and a great read!!!

Loved it. A collection of nine sexy, BDSM shorts. A roulette wheel determines who will be paired with whom, and what scenes will be played out. Some of the paired couples, are known to each other. Some, very well - or so they think. A variety of kinks and limits, to please every desire. Perfect to read, while on break or lunch. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite, from these scorching, shorts. I'm kind of partial to second-chance or unrequited crushes. A must-read for lovers of erotic, romance. This book is a compilation of different relationships within a BDSM club surrounding the day of love, Valentine's Day. These novellas are definitely not for the faint hearted. Saying that the intracacies of the relationships within these books will keep you reading into the night with the lust, love and chains. All books within this series link to three hours of wild hot sex debachery that all intrinsically link. If you like a hot romantic read with kinky sex then this is the book for you. I love how the titles from each author perfectly describes what that chapter entails. This analogy really had a bit of absolutely everything. Stories that are uplifting, fun, heartfelt and with heartbreaking experiences, on top of all the steamy details.

We have second chance lovers, a sub who isnt too submissive, a secret crush that’s finally out in the open, someone from the past (the one who got away kind of thing), self impowerment and overcoming abuse, a dominant woman submitting, all the BDSM flavors of the ice cream available in Black Light.

Compilation of stories made by different authors with the same general topic, taking place in the same setting at the same time. I loved all 9 stories in this collection. Each is different in both characters and messaging through the preparing for and running of the valentine party. Each main character had their own history, strengths and sometimes weaknesses. I started with page 1 and didn't want to put it down to sleep. Each novella has its own scenes, but there are certain things that each player sees or hears throughout the book; making it one long story. If you like BDSM romance, you will love this book. This is an anthology of nine different, prominent writers showing various aspects of BDSM. All of the tales are intertwined and well done. Although the stories are necessarily short, they are each well thought out, developed and delivered. The characters are compelling and you hope to see more of their story in books to follow. This book lists at 615 pages on my Nook, so it is not short on content either. I have read most of these authors, and would recommend this book to others. It was amazing to see everything come together and make sense as the collection went on. And the descriptions of the BDSM scenes were so great, I could practically see them as I read. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this anthology. This is a fairly hardcore collection of stories in the BDSM genre and there were a few that were too much for my taste but what unified them all was the quality of the writing and the respect and understanding for the lifestyle that was evident. I did like the epilogues for the stories which for the most part hinted at the HEA that my vanilla heart craves. I especially loved the epilogues for stories by Renee Rose and Maren Smith (and I am hoping for a continuation for Kitty’s story).

Black Light is a series of short stories, all written by favorite erotic authors, involving different characters and kink situations. Although each story is heavily about the sex, there is an evolving relationship between the participants. Some of the relationships are based on history and others are brand new, but exciting. The authors have done a lot in each story to include details and a HEA. This is definitely a book with something for everyone.

Ok so this wonderful book has lots of great stories in it that all blend beautifully! It gives you some newbie action and of course my favorite some more darker scenes. Wonderful job to all the authors who each wrote a book to be included in this. Great collection of short stories! I was hooked up right at the beginning with the introduction, and now I have to read all of previous Black Light books. Each story was hot, naughty, kinky and showed various BDSM scenes. Some scenes were a bit too much for my taste but they were still very well writen with great understanding of this lifestyle. Most of the authors were a first time read for me and I’m really glad I got a chance to descover them.

This book is about 9 different couples and 9 different scenes that occur in the Black Light BDSM club on Valentines Day night. The plots of each story are rich and well-structured, the characters are well-developed and the storyline managed to grab my attention from the first few pages. There is a section at the end of the book where issues that came up during the night’s events are discussed among the owners and the manager. It brings a feeling of closing for the book. I highly recommend this read!

Every one of these stories was well worth reading. There was always enough information to really understand what was going on in each novella. I absolutely love this series and can't wait for more!!!

This is the second book of the Black Light "Valentine Roulette" . I read the first book last year. BDSM club - spin the wheel to find out what your "adventure" is for the evening. The first book/chapter give the overview of the entire book. Each set of characters has their own book written by a different author. All of the books tie together very well. I have enjoyed all of the Black Light stories. This was a good introduction to some authors I had not heard of before.

Silas is an Adonis (ok so yay I know they describe him as a Viking in looks) but either way he sounds hot. Even with his bad (but oh so good) attitude. I also love Bianca’s reaction to him. She is not a simpering kind of girl but does enjoy being pushed. Freaking hot read!

Brat by Livia Grant
This story was cute with hot freaking scenes. Connor’s reactions cracked me up off and on. Though being that Gabriella wasn’t intentionally trying to be a brat, I think she just naturally is, she did get what they both wanted out of this. I like how these two interact with each other. They had a good chemistry.

Forced by Renee Rose
Renee Rose knows how to write some scenes with this story. It is a dark and delicious read. Keep something to fan yourself with because you are going to need it with this one. The characters are both strong and well-rounded. I need some more of these characters.
Edge by Alta Hensley
This is a second chance type of story in a kinky way. Dean is a Dom. This should probably be in all caps. He and Melinda walk that fine line of finding what they both need and want. Super Sexy read.
Doctored by Sue Lyndon
Not my favorite of this series but still a good read. Natalie is paired with Hunter and they have a complicated history and parts of this history seemed to get in the way for me at times. Though still had some sexy scenes.
Shameless by Maren Smith
This is the first I have read by Maren Smith and fell in love with her writing style. I like how easy it was to relate to Haddy and her insecurities and what she is wanting out of life.
Confessions by Measha Stone
I LOVED Grayson. He has been looking out for Dani and when these too get stuff out of the way, their chemistry is smokin’ hot.
Surrender by Maggie Ryan
I think Marty in this book helps Owen in a lot of ways. Though Marty also learned her lessons with surrender. Freaking HOT read!
Taken by Jane Henry
This might have been one of my favorite stories. The old hurts that were there that had they communicated more in their marriage they could have avoided. This is a good read and really liked Della and Brayden.

I was introduced to new authors whom I will definitely be checking into their other works. Not only did each story happen at the same club on the same night, but they also included other things that gave the collection more cohesiveness. Just be careful while reading, this collection brings some seriously dark heat!

I really liked the stories, there is 9 separate but connected stories. 9 Dons and theirs subs, and their ‘play’ areas. I was able to relate to the characters in each story, especially Shameless by Maren Smith. I’m not good at putting up separate review for multi books.. I will say that this one is a great set of stories even if you’ve not read any of the Blacklight stories. Overall I completely fell in love with a couple of new to me authors and found a new series to read on.

I liked the Valentine Roulette at Black Light the first time around but I absolutely loved it this second time!! It had more depth to it with a great deal of not just sexiness but fantastic storytelling. I felt that the characters really shined through. As always, the authors did an excellent job with all BDSM aspects and definitely brought it both with edginess and the chemistry between the different characters. This is one of my favorites in the series!

GREAT addiction to the series. You don’t have to read it to follow except with the significance of Jax, Chase and Emma, however not a need. Totally enjoyed all the stories. Would recommend it for a quick and enjoyable read.

Great set of stories!! That is putting it mildly. These were creative, different from "last year's event", but done with style. Each couple had there own HEA but to get there was quite difficult. Can't wait for next years!!
