I really like Creek Stewart with his survival hacks and lessons. I have been a long-time fan even before he got his own TV show.

However, this book disappointed. The illustrations (they were not photos, by the way) were not always clear to decipher, and not every tip had a photo or drawing. Many of the tips were also a bit difficult to follow.

I didn't bother reading most of the book and ended up returning it instead. Sorry, Creek.

Creek Stewart is a master of Bushcraft and survival. To be able to have such survival hacks and tips in a book form to practice and use is priceless. Well worth the purchase. Do yourself a favor and order it now!

This is a great book. Some great ideas included in this book. More than anything this is a useful tool to get you thinking about everyday items that can come in handy in a pinch. Also, understand the trial/error and refinement that is necessary for success. Although this is a book of useful information it is also a "teach a man to fish guide". Enjoyed the section on EDC kits at the end of book.

Its a good book, its about time something like this came out. It explains everything in a clear concise manner if your ever caught up in a situation somewhere without the proper necessities. When your stranded alone in the wilderness at night, lost and tired with no food, water, phone, nor anything else like I was just recently, the only thing you can rely on at that point is prayer and what you've learned in training, and the tips in this book can be a big help.

Creek is always interesting to read and passionate about his subject matter. This volume is something I will keep handy around here. After our last hurricane, life around here became rather primitive quick. While we faired better than most, I did use some hacks of my own, but realized there was much more to learn. Creek Stewart has been a go to source for me and his how-to-knowledge is a source of inspiration. His easy to
understand instructions and practical guidance is information one can use in real time. Plus his down to earth style is grounded in reality and greatly appreciated.

If you want to fuel your inner MacGyver, this book is for you. It'll open your mind about the alternate uses of every-day items, and it'll inspire you to come up with your own survival hacks! Each hack is one-page long--straight to the point! And some of the hacks are illustrated with videos (you'll have to visit the links to watch them.) Overall, great complement to the "Build the Perfect Bug Out" series by Creek Stewart.

it has a few things that are interesting but I would recommend checking at your local library before buying it. Creek keeps popping out mediocre material to make up for his broken promise of his Non-Con book. He's delayed it for 2 years so far and yet still releases rehashed beginner stuff.

This book is just what I was looking for to start the camping season. Every one of these hacks is creative and shows real ingenuity and Creek does a great job putting them in easy to follow instructions. And unlike some other guides that leave you guessing on some tricks, he has even included links to video demonstrations to make sure everyone can follow along. My 9 and 11 year olds have read the book already and are practicing what they learned now to prepare for our upcoming camping trip. You can bet that Survival Hacks will be in our bag when we go!

It's okay. I knew quite a bit of the hacks, but honestly, it looks like they cut and pasted hacks from other books to put this one together. If you know what you're looking for, you can find most of this on the net for free.

Wow...I've been a fan of Creek for several years. Long before Fat Guys in the Woods, I got his book Build the Perfect Bug Out Bag. I've been a fan ever since. The great thing about Creek is when you read his books, its like he is in the room with you. It's like Creeks saying "Hey bud, here's what you do..." This latest book is broken down into 8 simple chapters dealing with various types of situations. Each chapter has great tips that are straight to the point and easy to understand. My son and I are attending his Escape the Woods weekend adventure coming up in April 2016 in Bailey, NC. I think I'm going to have to take the book and get it signed.

Lots of good info in here on how to use everyday items to improve your chances to stay alive, survive longer & thrive. Also lots of tidbits of knowledge to make things easier in rough times, or just while camping & enjoying the great outdoors.

I've read my share of similar books and both in this book and other venues Creek Stewart shines. More than anything else I never get the feeling he is showing off his skills or trying to "be noticed." Creek makes me feel he is truely invested my my learning. He also comes off less like his way is the only way and more like that is just the est he's found for himself so far. It's obvious he is also learning, seeks new ideas, and then wants to immediately turn them around into the hands and heads of his audience. His books and other educational materials are not my only resource but it's a safe bet when I'm looking for an answer he's going to be pretty early in my search.

I bought these books as gifts for my kids, all serious backpackers and hikers. As a mom of grown adults, I can't be there to save them if they get in trouble so I got this book to give them the knowledge to help themselves. I am not giving it 5 stars only because I didn't get to read it myself (darn!).

First off disclaimer: I'm a huge creek stewart fan so this might be a little biased but this is one on the best survival books I've had the pleasure to read, because it gives you survival tips using everyday items that you probably already have around the house, so if you are looking to make a survival kit or bug out bag a lot of the stuff you already have and don't have to invest more money into. Great book.

Creek Stweart has done it again. This book is loaded with literally hundreds of clever survival ideas. If you're looking for a fun, quick read, you'll like this book, which goes great with Creek Stewart's 365 Essential Survival Skills. Just like that book, this collection is fun, entertaining and valuable.

I just finished reading this fantastic book by Creek Stewart. This book has you thinking outside the box during survival situations. I have a strong proponent of a "limited gear" training. I love the hacks he writes in this manual and it also helps with other ideas that might be needed during an emergency.

Awesome book! I thought I knew a lot as a lifetime Girl Scout. I learned so much about fire, shelter, fishing, foraging, and EDC. I recommend this book to everyone who likes to camp, hike, or otherwise spend time outdoors. Lots of great ideas!
