Hiking & Camping
Review:Hikers and armchair travelers alike will love this thoughtful meditation on all things trails. A true work of literature on par with some of the great nature writers, including Barry Lopez, Robert MacFarlane, John McPhee. I look forward to more works from this gifted young writer and explorer. Review:Kyle sure knows how to envelop you into his journey. It had just the right amount of humor and grit. It was fascinating to see encounters through his eyes. It is a must read for me, one of my favorite books. Read more
Review:I really like Creek Stewart with his survival hacks and lessons. I have been a long-time fan even before he got his own TV show.
However, this book disappointed. The illustrations (they were not photos, by the way) were not always clear to decipher, and not every tip had a photo or drawing. Many of the tips were also a bit difficult to follow.
I didn't bother reading most of the book and ended up returning it instead. Sorry, Creek.

Review:I'm still in the process of reading the book. It is an occasional reader for me,picking it up when I have a few minutes to burn. I find some of the techniques outlined in the book difficult to duplicate. Yes, I am physically trying to learn the physical skills mentioned. I do have some skills related to survival from past employment, even so, many of these skills/results are difficult to achieve. If the level of information continues to evolve in future chapters as it has to this point I wil... Read more
Review:It's an ok book. Only gave it 3 stars because all of this information is easily found online on the Internet now, as there are many free camping websites that cover the same info. Easier to do online and print out the info you want. And...I reached out to the author of this book twice in the last four months with reports of errors in the book, but never got a reply back. So, who know what all is actually correct? Read more
Review:Should be called "Appalachian Scam."Bunch of drivel. This guy at a young age hikes the AT and now knows all there is to know. Cannot stand his approach of putting tons of pressure on yourself to complete it so you don't have to do the "walk of shame." What a bunch of crap. Save your money Read more
Review:Very good product. Bought this for my daughter at Christmas. She was 10 years old at the time and now is 11. Months later, she still enjoys doing her nails, using the designs in this book. Not sure about the quality of the polish, but that's not the point. Buy this for the instructions and ideas. Read more

Review:Excellent book; well written. It was a "thriller" and held my interest from beginning to end even though I didn't know anything about mountain climbing. I was glad to know that part of my purchase price went to a charity for the children of serpas who were killed on the mountain. Read more
Review:The book arrived on schedule and in excellent shape. As to content, the book is very informative. Haven't finished it yet, but what I have read is excellent. To implement many of the initiatives, you pretty much have to already have a location established. More of a bug out phase 2 and 3. Even if you don't have a permanent location set up it is still very much worth reading and having on hand. Read more
