The Way is an easy to understand, and beautifully written guide to living a more peaceful and loving life. My husband and I start each day by reading a section out loud, focusing on it's individual message. Channeled by Jesus, it's gentle messages will undoubtedly be our lifelong guideposts.

This book states in both simple and profound ways the reality of our spiritual health. Without being a canned self help book, it calls us to the truth of the power of our thoughts, actions, and feelings, in the creating of the world around us. I recommend this book for anyone on the journey of self realization in relationship to God and God's creation.

In 1993 Jon Marc Hammer began channeling 35 lessons from the master teacher Jeshua, or Jesus, his Greek name. He was sponsored by The Shanti Christo foundation, which took the recorded talks and produced "The Way of Mastery" in 1997. In August of 2007 I spent a week in a retreat in New Mexico with many of the people who produced this book. I felt like I was in a family reunion. This was the most happy, peaceful and loving week of my life. My lifelong scepticism about channelled writings flew out the window. Since then I have read through the book twice and lead and been in a group study weekly all year.
The purpose of this book is to bring into being an updated, simple and relevant version of what our brother, Jeshua taught and lived 2000 years ago. The teachings are beautiful, masterfully presented and in modern easy to understand language, and the book is of excellent quality.
Jeshua promises no less than Heaven on Earth to those willing to study and practice the lessons deeply. This is not religion, but how to live as God intended His beloved children to live. No one is excluded, judged, less or more than any other. It is our choice to follow the traditions you have been taught or to open the mind and heart to the possibility that there could be more to life than we ever dreamed of. No other book in print is so up to date, simple, and profound yet "user friendly" in it's teachings.
It is the answer to my prayer, in July of 1947, when I was in the class for new members at the first Methodist Church of Canyon Texas, and not satisfied with what the Methodist and Baptist and other churches had to offer. I said to myself,"I just wish I could ask Jesus." It took me 60 years to be ready to listen. This book will save any serious reader many years of wandering in our own wilderness. Study groups are springing up all over the world.

FRAUD/SCAM ALERT! Shanti Christo Foundation=The Big Lie/Big Rip Off Foundation

The so-called "channel" of these supposed teachings: (Jon Marc Hammer, fomerly Jeshua ben Joseph, now known as JAYEM) in this book is a con man. He is a fake.
You are asked to pay $38.00 for this book of teachings that are comprised of information that can all be found in other previously published sources (like A Course In Miracles and A Course of Love) to fund the chosen cash cow of this pretender and the corrupt foundation that supports him. There are countless college professors and presenters who can read source materials, memorize them, and then lecture on them for hours on end. What this supposed channel is doing in this book is not anything remarkable. He has read past books and attended lectures and retreats that expound these ideas, written his own scripts, rehearsed them and then "spontaneously" performs them on cue. It takes a power hungry and fame seeking narcissist to claim he is the voice for Jesus Christ the savior of the world. I bought this book out of curiosity and read most of it. When I saw the inconsistencies in it and put the pieces together I promptly returned it for a refund. I admit it. I was tricked initially, but I was skeptical nonetheless. Here are some examples from the book:

1. This con man said he would be using traditional Christian terminology throughout the book. But he didn't. He called God his father then referred to God as a "she" and "her' as well as "he and "him." I wrote to the fraudulent foundation asking why he did this and I was told it is because God is genderless. I have read that in a few near death experiences. But why wouldn't the real Jesus just say so and not then contradict himself with opposing gender specific pronouns? Would the real Jesus Christ sow confusion and separation about God into the minds of His children? I think not.

2. In the text he refers to being impaled with nails on the cross through his palms. Then later in the text he says it was his wrists. Certainly it cannot be both and again the real Jesus Christ would know for sure and would not need to "cover all his bases" and perform to appeal to people in both camps. Obviously the so-called "channel" is making this up as he goes along.

3. The supposed "channel" refers to negating one's self worth as the same as putting a gun to one's head and pulling the trigger. That is a pretty graphic and violent image. Would the real Jesus Christ plant violent images of self-murder into the minds of his followers to make a point like this? I don't think so. Obviously, this imagery came from the human ego of the "channel" like all the rest of this stuff aside from what was taken from other sources.

4. This con man goes so far as to talk about his life as Jesus as a child and the visions he experienced and the spiritual lessons he practiced to attain his God realization. This is a clever ploy that is at the height of arrogance. One can easily speculate these things about a young Jesus by taking those examples from the lives of other autobiographical accounts of well known mystics in history. And of course how can you refute them? No one has found any recorded history on the formative years of Jesus. Surely, the lying "channel" expects not to be challenged and that readers will blindly accept these things as facts.

5. Jon Marc Hammer (the "channel") instructs readers to sit in a chair every day for five minutes a day and affirm: I am Jesus Christ. Now hold on. There is only one Jesus Christ reigning over all of creation in heaven with God the Father. Pretending to be Jesus won't make it so. Oh I get it. That's how Jon decided he was the "chosen one."

These are just a few examples. There are many more glaring errors and tells of fraud in this book. The bible warns about false prophets and denounces occult activity such as psychics and the like. What you have here is a man who couldn't get money, fame and influence legitimately so he made this up and convinced others with connections he is really channeling Jesus Christ. EXCEPT HE ISN'T.

Jesus calls his followers to be honest and fair to all other people. These folks are obviously not committed followers of Jesus Christ. They are just riding on the coattails of Christ's namesake for personal gain.

Jon Marc Hammer now lives in Bali where he leads spiritual retreats as well as in Australia and Israel, speaks at New Age conferences, has written other books and study courses and provides private counseling sessions based on his so called "channelings." HE IS ALSO A CONVICTED PEDOPHILE WHO HAS SERVED TIME IN WASHINGTON STATE PRISON FOR SERIAL MOLESTATION AND RAPE OF HIS STEP DAUGHTER WHICH ENDED WHEN SHE WAS 12. This is all public record and he freely admits this occured, although he claimed earlier that Jesus told him to not disclose this to anyone. Yes, according to Jon, Jesus told him to lie by omission.

What a sad shame it is that he and the members of this foundation will perpetuate a huge lie and deception all for money and to put themselves on the spiritual map. It is nothing new to see deceivers claiming special connections to God, full enlightenment or God realization and powers of God ALL AS A CALCULATED LIE TO MANIPULATE AND EXTORT MONEY while they take advantage of naïve, ignorant, and vulnerable spiritual and religious seekers who will believe anything out of desperation or simple curiosity.

Don't be a fool and fall for this. DON'T BUY THIS BOOK! IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY THAT COULD BE BETTER SPENT ON BETTER BOOKS WITH THE SAME MATERIAL FROM HONEST AUTHORS.

You have been warned.

I first came across this work almost 15 years ago, after another 15 of seeking everywhere I knew or could find for answers to life's big questions, including 8 as a student of A Course in Miracles.

For me, The Way of Mastery is the most aligned and powerful spiritual work I have ever seen--many of the lessons are said ot be one's Jeshua did himself in his lifetime--and the work is growing like early Christianity. Profoundly life changing.

God has never stopped communicating with His/Her children and these writings are an extension of that ongoing communication. This material is easy to understand and has touched me to the depths of my heart in every sense of the word.

When I read the 'Course in Miracles' it rang true. But this book, while seeming to be truthful, is just an imitation of a ' Course in Miracles' which misses its true message. I do not think it's a channeling from Jesus.

That the authors claim this book was from Jesus explaining the basis of Christianity and then to go further and associate it with A Course in Miracles is a farce. They differ greatly in the basic fundamentals as follows:

Firstly, as ACIM correctly states, you are the dreamer producing the dream and are not contained within the dream. To associate yourself with an objective body and then honor the desires and pleasures of this "body" as God-given puts you back in the limited dream-nightmare humans call "life". And by the way, with all these human bodily pleasures being entertained, where do you think all the lost and dreaming separate egos come from in the first place???!!!! DUUHHHH!!! There is nothing about the objective universe and the bodies in it that are valid as these so-called material illusions are all counterfeits of the real deal, have no direct meaning and will be redeemed for their real meaning when correct understanding is attained.

Secondly, the Oneness of Being has no gender as it contains both in its completed, unseparated state of Being. Instead of referring to this Being properly as It, ancient writers referred to It as Him as was the custom but were still aware Oneness has no gender. To willfully change the gender of It (Him) to Her as this book does smacks of a hidden femenist and childish agenda.

Thirdly, ACIM forgives all. The Way of Mastery casts corporations and governments as something to leave behind implying a negative connotation. When the Truth is understood, there are no evil corporations or governments, as they are all illusions in a dream that never happened (along with that pleasurable human body dealt with above).

In summary, my take on The Way of Mastery is that it is not Christianity at all but is a wolf hiding in sheep's clothing poised to expand this lost generation of alien egos that erroneously claim "females" to be the source of life. It seems to use similar and correct themes of ACIM over which to foist and clothe its erroneous ignorance (or is it malevolent aggression?) To put my opinion in modern media-speak, The Way of Mastery sounds like left-wing, femenist, communist propaganda claiming to be the actual words of Jesus! Indeed these final days will be full of voices claiming "Here is truth" and "No, it is over here!"...indeed, therefore, I SAY UNTO ALL, WATCH AND BEWARE!
