I enjoyed the book. I have a complete collection of this series and I can't wait until the next installment in the series is available. It is well written and speaks well of the work that has gone into the book.

Having been disappointed by THE SPYMASTERS (MEN AT WAR SERIES), I am pleased to see a return to form by Griffin and Butterfield in EMPIRE AND HONOR. Cletus Fraud and Company, through wit, sarcasm, and stealth, bring this page-turner to life and leaving the reader wanting more (you will know what I mean when you get to the end of the novel but no fair reading the last few pages first).

What fascinates me most about Griffin in the early novels; now Griffin and Butterfield in the more recent efforts, is how much of a work-out "Google" gets trying to determine where history ends and fiction takes over. I can't wait for their next effort in whatever series it will be (Badge of Honor, maybe?).

continued from prior novels (with enough backgraound to stand alone).
Senor Frade and cohorts fitting in well with the time setting. Gives a taste of what it might have been like with all of the turmoil of those times.
My Journey to Hell and Back with Amanda Knox - Honor Bound :: Secret Honor (HONOR BOUND Book 3) :: Blood and Honor (HONOR BOUND Book 2) :: Victory and Honor (Honor Bound) :: Death and Honor (HONOR BOUND Book 4)

This book is written very much like the other ones in this series and continues a story that I have enjoyed for years. The authors have written several series that I read and enjoy. I am very happy that the Griffin stories have been continued and I will continue to read them.

OSS versus escaped Nazis in Argentina with Uranium shipment on the to the Soviets. Tightly written, a page turner! Historical subplots with Peron and Eva Duarte. Also human interests with subplots of love and romance.

If you are a WEB Griffin (and fellow writers) fan you will enjoy this book. It is a continuation of the Clete in Argentina series.. and is quite derivative of Brotherhood of war... complete to visiting the same cities in post war Germany and adding a new 21 year old rich kid 2nd LT... I was surprised to find that I could not lend this book to my brother as it is NOT Lending Enabled. This book costs too much and I will now know to look carefully for the Lending Enabled

I just finished the book, but wasn't completely sure the kindle version wasn't accidentally chopped off before the end. The abrupt stop initially felt wrong, and then it felt like a gimmicky setup for the next book. Both of which I didn't enjoy.

Otherwise, a good read from an author I keep coming back to. A little tedious in spots, and it has an occasional feel of group authorship or a complex timeline or flashback getting a little out of control, but all-in-all it was an enjoyable couple of days read.

Looking forward to the next one.

WWII has ended but some of Argentina's top officials are still providing refuge to the Nazi SS, who have a plan to rise again. Good read but the ending seemed rushed although I may not have wanted the book to end?
