Extremely disappointed in this book. I have read the entire series of Hannah Swensen mysteries. The ending made no sense at all. I have never written a review of a book before. The ending of Raspberry Danish Murder made no sense at all. In the book before this, Hannah's husband Ross went missing. The ending of Raspberry Pie Murder was plain STUPID and a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT.

I absolutely loved this book! The ending was just what I was hoping for! I'm trying not to give anything away but even the book descriptions of these last few books in this series are sort of spoiler-like if all a person has read has been the first books. I had only read books in the beginning but I knew what was coming and I was just curious to find out! So I didn't mind knowing. Now I can go back and read the rest of the series.
It was two weeks after Ross had left and the police had nothing as to why. Hannah was trying to go about life as usual with her sister Michelle staying at the condo with her and her good friends, Mike and Norman keeping her sanity intact.

The Ross mystery continues through the end of this book but something is revealed then that will explain why he's gone. Hannah's trip to the bank reveals that she is now a very wealthy woman who is also the new owner of Ross's car.

When Ross's assistant eats drugged candy that came from Ross's desk, both Hannah and Mike start wondering if the candy went to its intended victim or was Ross the intended victim. Was he tipped off that someone might be trying to kill him so he left? Only Ross knows for sure!

In the meantime Hannah and Michelle with the help of Norman and sometimes Andrea continued to look into the murder.

Since Thanksgiving and Christmas were getting closer, the Lake Eden Inn is having a holiday gift convention and Hannah is invited to take a booth (for free) plus be able to keep her profits so that ended up being a win-win for the Cookie Jar, which seems to have plenty of regular help.

In this book we get to see more of Andrea's daughter Tracey, a 7-year-old who is working on her career path to be a baker like her Aunt Hannah. Cute kid and smart too! Norman is as sweet as ever and I always get a kick out of Mike and his food-dar as the girls call it since he seems to have a 6th sense as to when to show up at the Cookie Jar or the condo for meals or new baked items.

The take down scene was epic and also very funny. I could totally picture it happening since I happen to be a fan of TV movie Hannah as well so it's easy to picture the on-screen characters doing the scenes in the books. PK's murder got wrapped up nicely, the perp got hauled to jail and the cookie booth at the convention did extremely well in three days. At the very end, Mike came with some important news for Hannah about Ross.

If you're as big of a Hannah fan as I am, you'll do a happy dance, I promise! I can't wait for the next book!

Hannah has only been married a few weeks when her new husband Ross goes missing - then his assistant P.K. is murdered. Were the two events connected? Hannah and friends are out to solve the mystery of P.K.'s death and find her MIA husband Ross.

I've read the full Hannah series and was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, it just didn't do it for me. For me, it became clear almost from the start that the two stories were not directly connected. That would be far too much of a coincidence. Besides, this isn't the first time Ms Fluke has told more than one story in her books. When a certain character was brought into the storyline, I instinctively knew that person was responsible for P.K.'s death. I also had a pretty good idea why the deed was done. For someone as smart as Hannah not to see through it seemed unrealistic though I assume Ms Fluke expected readers to think that Hannah was so overwhelmed by the info she was gradually learning about Ross that it had dulled her other deduction skills.

Hannah is struggling (mostly internally) with WHY Ross left her and worried that it was her fault he left? (To hear an otherwise strong, intelligent and creative woman doubting herself so much bothered me but then again self doubt is all too real for many women when it comes to relationships)

For once Mike is actually willing to work with Hannah (almost) completely to solve the mysteries. Hannah's mother Delores, is concerned but as usual is overly nosy and jumps to conclusions before getting all the facts! (We all know people like her!) Hannah's sister Michelle is a rock of support and energy for Hannah - as is Norman! (Team Norman!).

Thankfully, she does eventually put 2 and 2 together to nail the murderer. As for her MIA husband? Well his status is also eventually revealed - and frankly that info didn't surprise me either. I presume there will be much more to say about his status in a future book.

Overall, a decent read but not one of the better ones in the series.

I call these "cozy books". Joanne Fluke is my favorite Cozy Mystery writer and also a very nice person. I emailed her one time and she answered.
A very sweet and gracious lady. These "cookie books" with Hannah Swensen are just the best. I feel you have to start right at the beginning
to really understand all the characters and how they have developed. There will be 24 books so far in the series when you get the one in September. Each book has the very best cookie and desert recipes ever and some savory dishes as well. I have had such a great time making Hannah's Cookies. I adore all the characters, I love the little mysteries and I never miss a single one. I even have some autographed copies. I treasure my hardcover collection of all first editions. So, if you want some wonderful, light, entertaining, wholesome fun...look no further. I am Joanne Fluke's huge fan :)

The editors need to find some advance readers that will really read the book and not just rubber stamp it. The suicide makes no sense as the information that Hannah receives contradicts the reason for the suicide. So then there is no reason for the murder. So many of the five star reviews sound hollow.

And Hannah’s whole character is fractured in the last couple of books. Hannah is so logical and verifies every little detail when trying to solve a murder but she marries a man she knows next to nothing about! People in real life change but not quite that drastically.

Thanks to the author and editors for the earlier Hannah Swensen mysteries. They were really good reads.

Hannah's simpering over her husband in the last book drove me nuts. For most of this book it was almost as bad. I won't spoil it - but I finally gets interesting in the end. I'm glad I stuck it out - I can't wait for the next one!

Hannah Swensen Barton is living a great life. She’s married to a nice man who works for the local TV station, she has a great family of sisters and a mother and stepdad. Along with her friends and satisfied clients for her Bake Shop, the Cookie Jar, in Eden Lake, Minnesota.
Her husband is off on a photographic assignment, and then, his friend is murdered by poison. But, the surprises doesn’t stop there when she goes to the bank.
So, of course, Hannah, her sisters and friends start to solve the crime, and ultimately solve the murder.

When the story ends, there is an incredible surprise and, I can’t wait for next novel to figure out what is going to happen.
(Please don’t let your loyal readers wait too long!)

I love this story! She kept us guessing until the end on one aspect, and held us captivated with another mystery. And we were so worried about Moische! A great read, please go get it and read it. I read it through in a few hours, and will do a slower read later. Oh, and the cookies! Yummy!

Hannah is back solving crimes and baking cookies, but where is her new husband Ross? While she is missing him, but wondering how well she really knows him, she is also returning to her friendships with Norman and Mike. A nice return to form from my favorite series.

This series is great fun, and well written. The continuing thread is what has me hooked, and the recipes look really good. I certainly hope there's another one in the works, since this is a bit of a cliff hanger.

Have not been really satisfied with the last 4 books but I like all the recipes but I will continue to get her Hannah Swensen books because they may improve in story content. I have received this book.

I swore I'd never read another Hannah Swensen book several books ago because she married the wrong person! However, I'm glad I didn't follow through on that because I was proved right. He was a real cad!

This book was all filler and very little mystery. Does the author think she can pad a book with recipes and little else and get people to purchase it?
I got my copy from the library so I wasn't out any money. Just a few brain cells from this mind-numbing drivel.

This book was suspenseful to the end. The ending was surprising. Both Norman and Mike had suspicions about Ross which proved to be correct. When is the next book being published? The suspense is killing me!
