Very well written. I love the pictures in the book and would like more. It helps the pictures are not at the back of the book, nice that we can see the people as we are reading. The story had a good pace and did not want to put the book down.

As a former resident of Shelby County it had really hit home that this could happen in our backyard. This wasn't unfamiliar in Southern California, but small town Iowa, a place our folks moved us to be in a better place? It just goes to show severe domestic abuse, let alone a lifetime of multiple forms of abuse, can do strange things to otherwise rational human beings.

Excellent Read! Being from this county, it paints a good picture of the local authorities and the county itself! I believed it very well written and a great shirt read! One of those I picked up and couldn't put it back down! Paints a great picture of how everything came about, etc. definitely would recommend
