A Granger Spy Novel (The Granger Spy Novel Series Book 1)

Blood Line moves extremely quickly, sometimes so much so that the timeline seems overly compressed. The facts of the story continuously change and whatever you think is settled quickly proves to be untrue. But at the core the story is about a family, parents and teenage daughter, with a history and an adaptability that I found very compelling. The story is written from the viewpoint of the father, which interestingly keeps the focus on his wife and daughter. We're not talking about a mom in the kitchen with an angst-filled daughter slamming doors, but rather fully competent, 21st century women with utmost respect for each other. This is a great first work: John J. Davis should go far.

It may be just another in office for the Characters. But for the readers it's the first time. Excitement missing. The action block are written well though. You can literally see the action before your eyes

this book is too juvenile to be an adult thriller and too graphically violent to be a young adult book.
The many exceptions to believeability inc\lude a precosious 16 year old, the cia working domestically, and the improbability of two assasins marrying
The local LEO's are running dog flunkies of the protagonists.

This book grabbed you in the first couple pages! And it keeps going at a breakneck speed. Lots of characters which is a little bit of a challenge to keep straight but you quickly zero in onto the main ones to keep straight. Great story , probably not really believable but I read for pleasure so not looking for non-fiction. Would like to see more adventures with this family.

A very entertaining book. It also has an ending which is a huge selling point to me. I am so tired of spending a few hours reading a book only to find that for an ending they try to trick you into buying another of their books by leaving you hanging and wondering what happens to the people you have been following for the past few hours.
