The True Story of Balto (Step into Reading) - The Bravest Dog Ever

I remember when I was a kid absolutely loving this book! As a child, I loved the heroic tale of Balto and enjoyed the detailed pictures. Now, almost 20 years later as an artist, I still enjoy the illustrations and simple plot. Great for kids!

My son is a reluctant, struggling reader, and he really enjoyed this book. He is 10 years old, and reads below grade level, but would rather read books for his age-interest level. This book was the right challenge level for him to read mostly independently, and the story was really engaging.
