Children's Nonfiction
Review:We used this book for homeschool study of American History. It was engaging and informative, giving historical context through the eyes of ten year old Sylvia Mendez and her experiences. I was very impressed with this book, and gratified to have such an excellent resource for our classroom! Read more
Review:What a strange fascinating narrator! While Jane Eyre will always be my favorite of Charlotte's novels, Villette holds its own. I admit the narration will not be for everyone. Often the side characters take on brighter more perceivable places in this story than it's hero, yet it is still compelling. I highly recommend this novel, and it's intriguing and and illusive narrator. Read more
Review:This book is creative but the plot is terrible. It contains too many ideas with not enough pages. Plus the grammar mistakes make it hard to read and enjoy. This book has a minecraft theme but doesnt have mincraft items. Could of been better but unfortunately was poorly written. I recommend any of Mark Chevertons books. Read more
Review:I am actually reading your review. I've read every single review for ALL of Cube Kid's books.
For what you said in your shout out, the real Herobrine already took that spot. But I can make you like Pebble or Cogboggle. The only problem I have is that my book takes place in the Nether. So you'd have to be a Nether mob. Either a blaze, pigman, magma cube, wither skeleton, witch,(I know, thats not a Nether mob, but in my Minecraftia the witches move to the Nether to avoid conflict)skeleton, or e... Read more
Review:This book makes maths fun, even for those little people who believe it to be a laborious trudge through treacle. In fact, that would describe Robert, the main character in this book. He has been struggling with maths for as long as he can remember. One night, he dreams that he meets a little devil, The Number Devil, who teaches him, as he sleeps, all sorts of useful tricks with numbers.
When you enjoy something, and gain immediate benefit, you obviously learn more.

Review:Cannot put down, because I want kept wanting to know what happens next. Chase packed a lot of life into 20 years. His dad was with him all the time and really understood him. Sometimes the best parenting can't save your child / teen / young adult from poor decisions. It is also helpful for anyone going through grief over the loss of a loved one in a tragic event like this, because you can sense the father's anger, his attempt to understand. You can also sense that, as he rights, he is makin... Read more
Review:The year that this charming and very informative book was being written, I had the pleasure of being called upon by the author, Melissa Sweet to lend some assistance and historical data on Tong Sarg, and the legendary Macy balloons. Having based years of archiving the history of Sarg and the balloons, as well as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade- together, we explored the fascinating history of the man know as "Macy's Mister Everything." Sarg's original association with RH Macy & Co. began ... Read more
Review:I remember when I was a kid absolutely loving this book! As a child, I loved the heroic tale of Balto and enjoyed the detailed pictures. Now, almost 20 years later as an artist, I still enjoy the illustrations and simple plot. Great for kids! Read more
Review:A 2013 Dorling Kindersley/Smithsonian release, EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SNAKE AND OTHER SCALY REPTILES is geared to readers ages 7-11. Having said that, older readers would enjoy this once-over, well-illustrated guide to snakes and assorted creepy crawlies as well.
The book's 80 pages are fairly evenly divided between snakes and reptiles with units on prehistoric monster snakes, adders, rattlesnakes, snake charmers, snake skin/fangs/venom/hibernation habits/etc., spitting cobras,... Read more
