Story is about Montana Hendrix , she works with therapy dogs. Simon Bradley is a Surgeon that specializes in burn victims.
Montana is a triplet, took her a long time to find a job that she finds gratifying. She see sick people and has formed a reading program with the use of the dogs.
Simon has come to Fool's Gold for a few months to work in the burn unit. One of his patients is a young girl that got hurt from the family BBQ exploding .
One day Montana was walking her dog in the park and it got lose from her. She chased it into the hospital, she knew it wasn't going to go well. She runs into Mr. Bradley. He wasn't happy to say the least. She politely tells him to take the stick out of his ass.
After talking to his patient mother, they decided to call a local therapy dog company to come see his patient. Well don't you know it, Montana walks in the day and he almost died.
When he was younger he suffered a very bad accident. Half of his face is scared with burn marks. He befriends Montana and doesn't know if he wants to open up his heart to her. It might be just easier to walk away.

This is the second of the Hendrix triplet's stories and the fifth of the Fool's Gold series. Of this series, I've only read Only Mine, book four. However, I'm a huge fan of Susan Mallery's so when I say this book on NetGalley. I had to grab it.
Montana has always struggled to find her place as the youngest of triplets, but the pieces seem to fall in place when she begins to train service dogs. The story begins with Montana talking a walk with a dog-in-training. Fluffy gets loose and ends up running around the local hospital and while Montana is chasing him, she literally runs into Simon, a doctor who is not understanding about this accident.
Simon's a world renown surgeon, specializing in burn victims. He's visiting Fool's Gold for a short stint in the hospital. Due to a traumatic childhood, Simon is determined to keep his distance from everyone and not form any attachments. But something about Montana worms her way past his defenses and add in a spunky dog and a young burn victim and Simon is a goner.
I love how Ms Mallery spins a tale. She has a way of creating characters that just reach in and tug at your heart strings. I really felt for Simon as his past is revealed and how it effected his life and relationships -- especially as he fought his growing feelings for Montana. But what I really like is that while this book is a part of a series and past characters (and ones who will star in future books) make appearances, the book focuses on the stars and doesn't really have any subplots to complete for time. And what subplots there are, are relevant to Simon's and Montana's story.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, and hunting down some past books so I can revisit Fool's Gold.

Montana is the most innocent of the triplets, IMHO, and now she's a therapy dog trainer. Love how she meets her "hero" LOL with the dog that can't be a therapy dog, Fluffy a 90 lb Lab and Golden Retriever mix. Montana labeled Fluffy a screw- up and could identify with her. She thought of herself as never meeting her potential. Fluffy gets loose and goes in the hospital, rides the elevator up and gets off and runs into the burn ward.
Dr Simon Bradley, a pediatric burn specialist, gets runover by Fluffy and falls on Montana. Montana has the air knocked out of her but by the time the doctor gets through chewing her out she does find her breath enough to tell him "you might want to take that stick out of your ass. It'll make it easier to pretend to be human, which will probably help your patients." He was rough on her when she was trying to say how sorry she was but he is concerned about infection of his patients--Fluffy does have lots of germs on her and she loves to lick. He also had been a burn patient as a young boy and has one side of his face so scared. Wonderful Beauty and the Beast story.
Dr Bradley lives for his patients, he's only in Fool's Gold for 3 mos then moving on to the next place that needs his services for burns and plastic surgery. Mayor Marsha recruits Montana to try and get the Dr to stay in Fool's Gold. The hospital has the best burn unit but there isn't any reason he should stay. He is needed all over the world he thinks. His patient, a young girl, had seen the dog making such a commotion and asked to pet her. Her mother told Simon and he made up his mind to find out about a therapy dog.
Montana's boss gets a visit from Simon because he needs a therapy dog. Montana is the one who handles the dogs and people so she got to talk to the doctor. Montana feels that the apricot-colored toy poodle, just like Ms Mallery's Nikki, her name is Cece and she is the best therapy dog. She doesn't have dander because she has hair not fur. The young girl was so happy to have Cece come and snuggle up to her. Dr Bradley had come to the therapy dogs "home" to make sure a dog would be able to come and help his young patient Kalinda. Cece got upclose and personal with Simon every time she is around him and with time he also liked Cece to snuggle up to him.
Simon has an instant reaction to Montana--he feels sexual and his body does the obvious. Simon and Montana are thrown together most days as Montana comes with Cece so she can be with her patient, Kalinda. Montana feels she must do her best to make the dr realize he should stay in Fool's Gold and there is the being of Simon's fall for Montana and of course she has already fallen for him. I love the humor in Ms Mallery's book and maybe especially this one.
Wonderful book and I'm looking forward to ONLY HIS. The last triplet, Nevada's story.

I knew when I sat down to read Only Yours, I would love it from the start. After all, it stars my favorite triplet.
Montana has been my favorite Hendrix triple from the first moment she was introduced in the series. She has this endearing, innocent way she cares about everyone around her. She really is pure of heart, and for that, you can't help but want to care for her and protect her...much like Simon does in this book. Simon was...complicated. He is guarded and quiet and closed off. He has his reasons. He suffered a very severe trauma at the hands of his mother when he was only a boy, which has made him close himself off emotionally. He isn't cold, however. In fact, when he's around his patients, he is funny, caring, and gentle. He also can't help being this way toward Montana. She seems to bring out things about him that mostly just embarrass him. I thought their relationship was very sweet, but also very sexy. After everything Simon went through in his young life, I was really happy that everyone in the Hendrix family and in Fool's Gold welcomed him with open, loving arms.
Speaking of the Hendrix family...can we give it up for Mama Hendrix or what?! I was so happy Denise was out there, trying to date. Trying being the operative word since a lot of these dates have been disasters, lol. The mystery Max is revealed in this book, though, and I cannot wait to see how that unravels. There are a couple of more Hendrixes in town right now that also need happy endings, too: Nevada and Kent. I really can't wait to see what happens with them.
There are new people moving to Fool's Gold all the time now. And not just men! We were introduced to Heidi...who raises goats...and lives with her grandfather. No joke. LOL I love Susan Mallery for that. She's hilarious. We also met the new, cute veterinarian: Cameron.
The introduction of these characters and other new businesses going up around town leaves me to wonder if the series will continue on beyond book six, which is due out at the end of September. It would be awesome if there are plans for more! I just love this series, this town and the people that reside in it! Only Yours proved that just when I think I've read my favorite in the series, the new one comes out and tops it.

Another great visit to "The Land of Happy Endings" in the "Fool's Gold" series by Susan Mallery!
This is the 5th in the series and the second of the Hendrix triplets story. Montana is the most interesting of the triplets, she thinks her sisters are beautiful but finds herself lacking, she sees good in everyone except herself and in this book we find out why. Simon has had a extremely hard life and really has very little emotion when it comes to other people. Montana and Simon make an interesting pair. You really feel that she is the Ying to his Yang because they are so opposite but fit together perfectly.
Simon is not like the other guys Mallery has written about in the series. All of them have been these attractive men inside and out but Simon is scarred from a incident in his childhood both physically and emotionally. He is not the "perfect" man and can be a little rough around the edges. He is not the leading man that you swoon over but there is something about him that draws the reader to him. We have known Montana through the whole series so we feel a connection with her and want her to be happy. It was also enjoyable to catch up with the rest of the town like Pia having the twins and Denise dating.
As with all of Mallery's books I consumed the pages in a short period of time. I love this series and love the stories Mallery brings to us. Mallery is a treasure chest with each book being another precious gem to admire.

There are absolutely no words that can express how incredibly
fabulous Only Yours was to read. Susan Mallery has written a real "hit" with this September release which showcased the second Hendrix triplet, Montana. Fools Gold, Cailforna is a town everyone would want to move to as the residents not only love their town, they love and support each other.
I knew this book would be a winner and it was. It placed #7 on the New York Times Best Selling list. I've read the entire series and recently Only Mine, and loved it. However, this one I adored because it was so intense regarding the heroine Montana Hendrix and a man who touched her soul; plastic surgeon Simon Bradley. Their chemistry rocked the seismic charts!
Montana had a couple of issues due to past boyfriends. She never felt she was good enough; they had always commented on "how she could improve" herself. There was also the fact that it took her a little longer than her sisters Dakota and Nevada to find her career path. Montana helped train service dogs. She not only did that, she had also created a reading program at the local library. Children with reading problems, read to dogs and the reading program became a huge success. Montana's boss was Max, a former Fools Gold resident and he had some secrets. He wasn't the only one in town keeping secrets, so was Denise Hendrix, the triplets mom and so was Dr. Simon Bradley. His childhood secret will rip your heart out!
Mallery's hero was a plastic surgeon with a "tortured" past. Half of his face was scared from a fire, plus other parts of his torso. The other side of his face was extremely handsome. He travelled the world performing miracles on burn patients and now he was in Fools Gold. doing the same. He had one very special patient, a little girl, Kalinda who had been badly burned over most of her body. People from all over the world were traveling to Fools Gold for treatment. He met Montana in a most bizarre way when she was walking a poodle named Fluffy, who got loose. Fluffy made her way into Fools Gold hospital, causing all sorts of havoc and who did she bump into; the grumpy, Dr. Simon Bradley.
As it turned out, it was their destiny to meet and in the end Montana brought a sweet little six pound poodle named Cece to help heal little Kalinda. I've read many interviews Susan Mallery has given and she describes Only Yours as a beauty and the beast story. Honestly, I believe it was more than that because Simon wore his scars like a "badge" of courage. He wanted his patients to see they could survive and live in the world, even with scars caused by burns. From Mayor Marsha, the Hendrix family, and the people of Fools Gold, they all recognized his brilliance. They wanted Simon to stay and not move on to his next scheduled job in Peru. The Mayor enlisted Montana to show him around town and try to convenience him to stay. In the end, it all backfired because Montana fell in love.
As you can well imagine, Montana wasn't like any of the women Simon bedded, she "got him", she didn't see his scars, she accepted him as he was and she was like no other woman he had ever met. However I wondered at what point he would push her away? Montana and Simon definitely had passion, saw into each others souls and she was the very first woman who he let into his heart. But was that enough to keep him in Fools Gold because he was so driven to be the best and help those who would not normally be able to get this sort or care? And then the most horrible thing was revealed in Only Yours, how Simon was burned and who caused it. Physically it made me sick, it was so horrible.
The secondary characters were incredible. in Only Yours. Susan Mallery only wets your appetite for wanting to read more books in this wonderful series. Some of the Fools Gold residents were introduced to readers in earlier books like the Hendrix family and they only enhanced the story. New characters and secrets were also revealed. So many warm and wonderful town residents with stories I can't wait to read in future books. Nevada Hendrix story will be the next in Only His. If you're a fan of Susan Mallery's and have read her interviews you'll know it will be a the return of a man from her past; a "first love" story, so I can't wait!
Only Yours, is a stand alone book. However, I encourage you to read all of the Fools Gold series you won't be disappointed. Because I so believe in Fools Gold, I'm personally offering a contest for a Barnes and Noble gift card. To say more about this lovely book would ruin your reading experience. I hope you'll trust me, Only Yours had me laughing, crying and in the end sighing because Susan Mallery always gives her readers a happy ending. However, sometimes to get there, the journey can be painful. In Montana's and Simon's case painful doesn't even begin describe it!

My Review:
Another fabulous trip into Fools Gold. This time we got to see Montana (one of the Hendrix triplets) fall in love, but it was most definitely NOT an easy road, because her hero is not an easy man. Dr. Simon Bradley is a brilliant plastic surgeon and burn specialist, but he has really deep scars both inside and out from his own burns. Burns that were given to him by his mother after she pushed him into a fireplace twice at age 11. He was already an awkward child because of his brilliant mind, but after the ultimate rejection by the one person who was supposed to love him unconditionally, he has built up emotional walls that seem insurmountable.
But for as cold and unemotional as Simon is, Montana is the exact opposite. She is lively & vivacious....maybe a little bit too vocal, but beloved by everyone in this sweet little town. She has her own emotional issues after a series of bad relationships. Her walls are not near like what Simon is dealing with, but it helps her to understand a bit of what he is dealing with in his psyche.
What I liked about this book:
*loved Montana and her work with the dogs- the addition of the dogs and their different personalities, added a lot of interest in the story as well as an interesting additional narrative.
*the story with Cece (poodle) and Kalinda (child burn patient) was simply perfect. So wonderfully written especially in regards to how both of them affected Simon. Just a gorgeous story line.
*I loved the story with Montana's mom and Max. I am assuming that this one will be resolved in the final book of this trilogy, because I am really intrigued about the history for them.
*and of course, the cameos from all the characters of Fools Gold. I love this quirky little town and it is wonderful to revisit the characters from the past books. Still love the guys best...love it when they come to get Simon to play golf. Just a sweet little scene that made me giggle.
Simon's story line in this book is such a difficult subject matter. The level of depth of his emotional scarring seems like it would be insurmountable, but I am suspending a bit of disbelief and choosing to believe in the power of Montana's healing love. It is a romance novel, and one that I enjoyed reading.

Only yours had you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Montana is the youngest
of triplets. She works with therapy dogs. She takes them to hospital s, care centers and even to a library to help kids with reading. Montana was walking a dog that was not going to work out as a therapy dog. He got loose from her and got into a hospital on his own and knocked over a Dr. in the burn unit.
Dr. Simon Bradley got angry and yelled at her. Montana said words back and left.
Kalinda is a little girl in the burn unit and was in a lot of pain and doped up butt she heard the dog and asked if she could see him. Dr. Simon Bradley was in fool gold for a few months doing surgery and helping burn victims He goes all over the world working a few months at different hospitals a lot in third world countries. His life is his patients. He spent 4 years in hospitals healing from his own burns. So Dr. Simon told Kalinda he would see about getting a dog into visit her.
Montana had the mayor ask her to try and get Dr. Bradley to stay in their town and work in the new hospital. Montana and Simon kept running into each other. Simon has never been so attracted to anyone before. He is a great Dr. but social skills he does not have. When he sees her sisters Dakota and Navada he is not attracted to them even though they are identical.
The patients in the burn unit are tugging on emotions. You get involved with all the characters and I want to read more about them. I can see their are more books about the town that has lot of women and few men thats now changing.
I enjoyed watching Simon and Montana falling in love and seeing Simon opening up. Liked the dogs made me want to get one even though their is one on my bed and one in the other room.
I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley
of triplets.

In Fool's Gold, California Montana Hendrix enjoys her job training therapy dogs. She is working with Fluffy who sees a mom and son with a hot dog. The canine goes for the food and takes off afterward with a stunned Montana in pursuit. Her boss Max Thurmon already decided Fluffy was not a good choice, but now the escapee enters a hospital causing havoc before plowing into highly regarded visiting plastic surgeon Dr. Simon Bradley who works with burn victims around the world. Simon rips into Montana as infection in the burn ward kills.
The mother of his nine years old patient Kalinda Riley asks Simon to allow her daughter to pet the dog. Mayor Marsha wants Montana to charm Simon into staying, but she explains that "A stick up his butt" Simon hates her after the travesty. However, Simon asks Montana to provide a therapy dog for his patient. CeCe is perfect for the little girl and Montana is falling in love with the nasty doctor who until now avoided relationships since his scarred childhood.
The canines and the burn victims (and their family) refresh the second Hendrix sister Fool's Gold romance (see Only Mine). The lead couple is an interesting pairing of a local dog trainer and a globetrotting physician whose emotional issues stick out on his face. However, it is Kalinda, her mom and CeCe who make for a poignant medical romance.

Another score for Susan Mallery and her Fool's Gold Series. Only Yours, the follow up to Only Mine, which will be out in stores at the end of the month, is a hit! Montana Hendrix, therapy dog trainer and one of the famous Hendrix triplets, sets her sights on the new burn specialist, Dr. Simon Bradley. Simon, who is as her sisters say "A sexy, scarred loner, can't stop himself from the overwhelming passion he feels when he sets his eyes on Montana, but he has no plans on staying around in Fool's Gold when his three month assignment is over. Will the town of Fool's Gold be able to keep Simon from leaving, or will he go, taking Montana's heart with him? You will just have to get the next book of the Fool's Gold series to find out!
As a big fan of Susan Mallery I was thrilled when she decided to write more Fool's Gold novels. We all love the closeness of the town folk and we love all the books that have been written so far. I really liked Montana as the heroine. she is strong but has a problem with seeing all the good she posses. Simon is a reclusive loner, and I loved that he felt so much for Montana, but wouldn't let himself bring her down with him to the darkest corners of his mind. For this couple it took a little trust, a lot of love and some steamy sex, but what else can we expect from the wonderful Susan Mallery.

Triplet Dakota's story (Only Mine) left me cold--not good, not bad, just blah. Happily, triplet Montana's story was better. Not great, but enjoyable. Montana being so full of self-doubt didn't really ring true, but close enough to make it an acceptable part of the book. The H in this one was more interesting--smart, scarred, emotionally isolated (maybe I just like the type?!?)--but my favorite parts were the H's interactions with dog and patient. No teary eye moments in this one, but no rolling eyes, either. A pleasant read, maybe good for the beach. Here's hoping final triplet's (Nevada's) story is better yet. This one showed some promise with a future story for the triplet's Mom, too.

Only Yours is another great story in the Fools Gold series. Montana is one of the Hendrix triplets and feels like she doesn't measure up to her sisters until she finds her true calling working with therapy dogs. Simon Bradley is a surgeon with a horrific past in which he was scarred from a fire during his childhood. He is temporarily working in Fools Gold and Mayor Marsha asks Montana to convince him to stay. Simon is a loner who is gruff and grumpy but Montana has a healing effect on him. What starts as a temporary arrangement grows into a true love.

Why read: Love the Fool's Gold series.
What impressed me: After reading both Ethan and Dakota's stories, readers will really feel as if they personally know the Hendrix family. This makes us immediately much more invested in how Montana's relationship works out. Now that she's finding her place in the world, you root for her and Simon the moment you meet him (as abrasive as he is). Simon is really the star of the novel. His complete emotional detachment is reminiscent of Raoul's romance, but it's taken further to the point where you often have to wonder if he has feelings at all. The developing relationship between the two and Simon's own personal development make the book that much more heartwarming.
What disappointed me: Absolutely nothing.
Recommended: Yes. Only Yours is one of the best of the series so far.
Continue series: Definitely.

Susan Mallery has created this wonderful community called Fool's Gold, and this book like all the others I have read, takes the reader into the lives of these residents. Montana Hendrix and Simon Bradley are 2 of her characters that you will love getting to know.

Like all the others. The men are drip dead gorgeous, rich and only in town for a short time.
This man was a little flawed. He was burned, but only on one side. The other side was so
breathtakingly handsome that it made up for it.
Naturally.

In Only Yours, it's about Montana and Simon. Montana is a triplet. She has finally found her calling, working with therapy dogs. When one of her dogs (whom her boss says just doesn't have it in him to be a therapy dog) runs into the hospital and onto the burn ward, Montana meets Dr. Simon Bradley.
I found myself having different emotions while reading this book. When reading about Simon's childhood, I couldn't help but feel bad for him. Susan Mallery wrote about it in just the right way that it hit a nerve in me. All in all this way a really good read that I enjoyed. The writer does make you feel what the characters are feeling in my opinion.
Of course, everyone has their own opinions and may not agree with me.
I will be reading the other two books for sure!

Enjoyable contemporary romance with a steamy sex scene. Though this is not the first in the series, it was the first I read and stood alone quite well. Simon was an unlikable character at times, but he grew significantly throughout the story. Montana was likable from the beginning. I particularly enjoyed the dogs in the story - a nice touch. I recommend this book.

Although Only Yours has a very modern-looking cover, I'd probably say Susan Mallery is more a contemporary romance author than a Chick Lit author. It's a fine line between the two, and for the most part they're very similar, but I figured I'd get that out there. I wasn't sure what to expect from the novel, but the first chapter managed to make me laugh so I figured I'd made a good spot picking up the novel. The opening of the novel introduces us to Montana as she's training up a dog named Fluffy to become a therapy dog when Fluffy runs away and ends up in a hospital. Trust me, although my description probably doesn't sound funny, it was a funny scenario and it was a lovely way to start the book. I was immediately drawn in. To Montana, to her work with the therapy dogs, to Dr Simon and his love for his job, and to all the people in Fool's Gold.
Only Yours isn't the first novel set in the beautiful-sounding Fool's Gold, in fact it's book five. The books seem to revolve around one person living in Fool's Gold and the three "Only" books (Only Mine, Only Yours, Only His) for example are all about the Hendrix triplets: Dakota, Montana and Nevada. But the books are about all the other characters in Fool's Gold, too. Even the previous Fool's Gold characters - Pia, Charity, Liz - re-appear although their plots are explained so we get fully up to date. The one thing that stood out for me was how wonderful and how community-like Fool's Gold was. I love novels that are set around a small community and Fool's Gold is the kind of community you want to be a part of. Montana finds herself being the center of attention as the Mayor, Marsha, tells Montana to try and get Dr. Simon to stay in Fool's Gold, despite the fact he doesn't like to stay in any place too long.
I really loved the characters in Only Yours. I loved Montana. When we meet her she's only just managed to find a job she loves, and I loved how dedicated she was to her therapy dogs. I totally fell for all the sweet dogs we meet. I also totally fell for Dr Simon Bradley. The chemistry between himself and Montana was something else. It's so rare for the two characters in a novel to be kissing each other so early on in a novel, but it seemed perfect when they kissed each other for the first time. I totally fell for them both and enjoyed their interaction with each other. I also loved Montana's sisters and mother and brothers. All their friends. I found the entire community to be enchanting and once I was in Fool's Gold, I never wanted to leave. A particular character who struck a chord with me was Kalinda. She's a little girl who Dr Bradley is tending to after she was burned in an accident and I was really hoping she would pull through and I loved how brave she was.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Only Yours. It wasn't what I usually read and it very much reminded me of the Susan Wiggs novel I read a few months ago. Both are such good contemporary romance authors and I really liked reading about Montana. I loved becoming a part of Fool's Gold, if only for a few days and I'll definitely be looking into reading the rest of the Fool's Gold series. I can't wait to read Pia's story, along with Nevada and Dakota's stories. It was such a well-written story, too, and I couldn't wait to get back to it each night. It had all the ingredients I love in a novel. Great characters, a lovely plot, some beautiful dogs (I loved the dogs!), a brilliant setting... It all added up to a read I loved. I'm so glad I finally decided to read my first Susan Mallery novel, I can see why she's so well-loved and I can't wait to go back to Fool's Gold as soon as I can!

What a wonderful story!!! I read this story in one and one half days. I couldn't put it down. I loved this novel. It was tender and loving and so sweet. Susan Mallery is an amazing writer. I absolutely love her novels. I highly recommend her novels to any one looking for a good love story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Montana was a joy; Simon was thrilling. Susan Mallery has a special gift. Simon had been through so much and felt he was unable to love or commit. It was a long hard road to get there, and, I felt, a lot to be learned by the reader along the way. I would love to extend my hand to those two people. I'm enjoying the book as much the second time as I did the first.
Please RateOnly Yours (Fool's Gold Book 5)
Montana Hendrix, one of Fool's Gold's Hendrix triplets has finally found her calling in life. She recently started on her career path training therapy dogs and she loves her dogs, the people she helps and her little town.
Mayor Marsha calls on Montana to ask her to try to convince Simon Bradley that Fool's Gold is a place he should consider making his permanent home. He adds so much to the community and the hospital. Montana reluctantly accepts the task she is handed, as no one can really refuse anything Mayor Marsha requests.
After a not so wonderful first meeting involving a loose wild dog in the burn unit, Montana isn't sure she is right for the job. But a burn patient named Calinda and a special little therapy dog named CiCi bring them together. Sparks ignite between these two, but will Montana be able to convince Simon to stay, or will he leave and possibly take a piece of her heart with him?
I want to live in Fool's Gold. I have read almost every book in this series (not in order all the time), but I can still follow it. I love the town and all the quirky people and their stories and how they are looped together.
I listened to the audio version of Only Yours during my commute this week. I think that Simon and Montana are pretty close to being one of my favorite Fool's Gold couples, alongside Pia and Raoul of course :)
