Jesse Stone is such a great character I get emersed in the story. Reed Farrel Coleman captured him and the other key characters well, Molly and Suit in particular. I'm glad he's continuing the series and look forward to more. MIchael K. McMahan

The story is fairly engaging with a reasonably well-structured plot. The problem I had with this novel was the sometimes clichéd and predictable turns of phrase. In other words, the prose is not especially original, creative or engaging. But the story carries the reader along well enough.

And better than ever.
Mr Coleman rounds out the character of Jesse Stone in different and better ways than even Robert Parker did. The reader has hope that Jesse is actually making progress in understanding himself and life.

I have been reading the Jesse Stone mysteries and they have all been entertaining. It is interesting to see how the different writers have taken on the challenge of following Robert Parker's story line.
