The Hot Shot

Seems like forever since I read something by her. Still good. Simple friends to lovers story. I liked our H Finn a bit more than Chess but she finally grew on me towards the end of the book. Great supporting characters.

Simple, sweet, sport read. Great beach read.

I was worried the series would start to get repetitive, but it hasn't yet. I was worried it would follow the predictable romance plots, but instead it sort of made fun of them without being disrespectful. Also the couch scene... OH MY GOODNESS! It's worth it just for that.

This book has it all. A great hero and heroine. Dual point of view. A beautiful build of friendship and attraction. Mature thoughts and actions. The right amount of angst. This book hits the spot with exactly what I'm looking for in my books. Highly recommend.

Think this may be my favorite book in this series. Absolutely loved Finn and Chess is great. Just enough of all the write components in a story. Finn though...he is just the best. Love the vulnerability.

The author really knows how to bring sports and romance together seamlessly. During the book you can come across one sentence that makes you laugh out loud, while you continue to uncover the essenceand layers of the characters. Some twists and turns you won't expect but the HEA is going to happen.

Absolutely LOVED it! And I seriously CANNOT get the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" (Elvis version) out of mind. I've been singing it all day long! ALL. DAY. LONG. I even got my 6-year-old daughter singing it with me. One of the best books I've read this year---and I read A LOT of books!

My only criticism is that there was a significant number of typos. But the story...TOP NOTCH!

Lovelovelove it! My first read in this series! Funny, witty, heartbreaking, well flawless written, sexy and addictive! And that little twist I didn't saw that coming!!!! Love Finn and Chess, love the banter being friends first.......

Chess and Finn were so powerful together. I loved how they evolved over time, and the love become paramount and rapturous. This book tells a story that is meant to be shared- I would love to read more about these two. It's a must read

This story is your old fashion love story. Love the way they banter back and forth. The sexy flirting and all. Awesome to have a female character that can hold her own against these players. This whole series is worth reading. Baylor is still my favorite but Finn is right behind him. Would totally recommend this book for everyone to read!!!

Ms. Callighan writes the best football romance, and this is probably her best effort to date. The characters were well thought out and well developed. The action was entertaining. All in all a great book which I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed getting to know Chess and Finn. Both characters have had a
Iife altering past that is dictating their now. Can they get past it together?

Kristen Callihan has become a favorite author of mine and I do not say that likely. She is an amazing writer, I definitely recommend reading this book if you enjoy contemporary romance. This is a truly well written book.

I really liked this book. The relationship between Fin and Chess was really sweet. The reason it isn't a 4 star review is because of the editing. Please, please get a new editor. The mistakes were so glaringly obvious.

Sweet, so adorably sweet from start to finish. This was paced perfectly and once again the characters were amazing and shared so much emotion through their journey that you can't help but fall in love with them.

Endearing Characters and story. Wonderful storyline. Lots of humor and a good balance of drama. Great Romance. I loved this book. I read lots but this is my new favorite. I intend to read all Of this Author 'S books!!!!!

Kristen Callihan is one of my favorite authors but this book fell short of the mark. The five typos interrupted the flow of the story and were difficult to ignore. The lack of attention to detail, which is most unusual, gave me the impression that the author or the editor did not care about the finished product. The story line also felt recycled and I was disappointed overall by the book. If you've never read this author please don't start with this book.

Each book in this series is better than the last, but I didn't think I could love a hero as much as Dex, but Finn was just as great, if not better! Excellent dialogue, excellent writing and all heart.

Another winner by Kristen Callihan! Loved Finn and Chester (that name is bloody awful, btw!). Kristen's characters are always likeable and relatable and all her books are auto buys for me. Well done Ms Callihan!

Ms. Callinan writes characters that are believable, down to earth, and truly likable! Chess and Finn are no different. They have real fears and anxieties but find that as they work through their imperfections they are perfect as long as they are together. I really love how Ms. Callihan writes characters that I would love to have as friends and neighbors IRL. Can't wait for her next fictional offering!

Kristen Callihan has done it again! The Hot shot is intoxicating and you can't stop reading it... The couple Finn and Chess are sweet and funny and the dialogues are so intense you feel as if you are in the story with them! They're feelings get under you skin and the plot keeps you interessed from beguining to end.AMAZING

This book lives up to its predecessors. The flow and characters allow you to feel what they are feeling. Humor, warmth, and heart ache feel strangely like your own. Another must read from Kristen Callihan!
