Great book. Insightful. Deals with ethical and moral issues through the development of diverse characters with different agendas. I found the books hard to put down. I loved the way the author drew on actual research to project IA into the not-so-far future. His appendices were a great addition to the fiction. I also appreciated the international cast of players and settings. This is a global project and it is projected as such.

I stumbled upon Naam's books and was instantly hooked! The Nexus trilogy covers so many aspects of society, technology and human relationships. I can't recommend them highly enough for technology enthusiasts and super geeks alike!

An explosive finish to an amazing series. Naam brings everything to a head, forcing the reader to walk around doing everything one handed and neglecting work/school/relationships in order to finish Apex. I did everything I could to stretch out the experience of reading it... but finished it in a few days anyway. What a series!

Loved the first two books. This final installment of the trilogy dragged on for me. Should have focused more story line closure on Sam, the primary female character. The Nexus brain altering software/drug is still a great invention and I enjoyed the exploration of all the possibilities, both the good, bad and evil. It was hard to figure out sometimes who the antagonist was. The AI via Nexus taking control of the world was a bit much. Having more of a focus on the political struggles around this new invention would have been interesting enough. Solid, interesting writing - just needed more fine tuning and streamlining of plot. I'd read the first two books again in a heartbeat, but could skip the ending.

Thrilling and thought-provoking finale to one of the best short-horizon sci-fi series that I have ever read. The novel draws from the science, technology, military, personal, and government perspectives to produce a plot driven by the considerations and decisions of the characters as they contemplate their vision for the future.

Good finish to the trilogy and Naam's writing has improved throughout the process. Quality sci fi that leaves you pondering a few things long after it has finished (as all good books of this type should). Get stuck in.

Such an intriguing take on the moral and political issues of both machine intelligence and human augmentation. Characters are so real you think you might know a couple of them. Easily in the Gibson/Stephenson/Doctorow pantheon.

Well worth the wait. I admit I had some reservations when Crux ended on a cliffhanger, but all is forgiven with the finale that is Apex. Like the other books in this series, there is no black and white, clear-cut villain and easy answer. The plot takes off and keeps charging all the way through until the end. I hope this series gets made into a Netflix or HBO original series.

Wonderful last act in a thrilling trilogy that provides a glance into what the day-after-tomorrow could very well look like. Naam presents a world imagined in glorious detail and addresses the problems of tomorrow in a realistic, grounded fashion from many perspectives.

Full of intriguing scientific fiction wrapped around action and drama. Most of the time is tangible with the right amount of ethereal fantasy. Make sure you wear your thinking cap or you'll be left behind.

Strong work of speculative fiction. I would recommend this to science fiction, or speculative fiction readers. Also action/adventure readers. An enjoyable read that kept me turning pages long past my bed time. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

This is a wonderful installment in the Nexus series. It has the big finale just like the others did and has a realistic ending, given the circumstances.

I love the blend of philosophy, politics, and technology.
