This book has a good storyline, I might actually enjoy it if I didn't have to re-read the same story lines over and over for the first three chapters. It needs a better proofreader. Is there a copy available that has already been cleaned up?

Although a cute little story, it is obvious that the author has no idea of the scope of decorating one room, never mind several. The timing on painting and buying furniture was so unbelievable, that it took away from the story. Write what you know or do some research! Who in the world could single-handedly decorate two large Christmas trees and install lights in four hours??? Otis physically impossible!

What a fantastic book by Jenny Hale! Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses is about a young woman named Abbey, a single mom who is working two jobs in order to provide a better life for her young son, her mom, and her beloved grandfather. Abbey spends weeks transforming her client's estate into a winter wonderland, filling the home with new furnishings, evergreen trees, ribbons and bows in preparation for Christmas. In the process, Abbey's own life is transformed as she discovers her passion and gift for interior design, and touches the heart of handsome Nick Sinclair who is too busy to find time for even the simplest of pleasures.
I love Jenny Hale's style of writing, and how she describes her characters so well that I feel like I really know each one personally. What a joy it is to read yet another incredible book by Jenny Hale! Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses should be on everyone's wish list this holiday season.

I love Christmas, from Jesus being born in a lowly stable in Bethlehem to all the glitz and glitter of Christmas trees and lights, presents given from the heart and special times we spend with our family and friends.
CHRISTMAS WISHES AND MISTLETOE KISSES was a fun, perfect story to start getting me geared up for the holidays.
Abbey Fuller is a single mom to 6 year-old Max, a full-time nurse that dreams of being an interior designer. She is the caretaker of an elderly woman who refers her to her grandson - for a design job.
She meets Nick Sinclair at his residence - a mansion which he needs fully decorated before Christmas. And he offers Abbey an exorbitant amount to get it done.
This felt like a Cinderella story, rags to riches, too good to be true. But even so, it was a wowser of a story.
I loved the characters and I'd love to stay in Nick Sinclair's mansion. Some parts of the story were a tad unbelievable but it's fiction and it's a feel-good tale so that's okay by me.
This is a story about the importance of family and friends, keeping promises, and following your dreams. It is a new favorite Christmas story of mine.
And it's a clean read, suitable for all ages.
NOTE: I received this book from Bookouture through Net Galley in exchange for my honest review.

Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses is a beautiful, charming christmas love story. It captured my attention from the get-go and held it throughout the entire novel. One of the main themes of the novel was the idea that love knows no bounds, and it does not judge based on wealth and material possessions. Rather, love is about the connection two beings have with one another.
Nick comes into Abbey’s life when Caroline -the women she provides private home care for – recommends that Nick hire Abbey as an interior decorator to help Nick make his house into a home. Abbey is a hard-worker that does her best to provide for her young son Max and give him a better life than she had, but it’s difficult on her salary. Abbey is intrigued by Nick from the moment she met him. He’s a bit cold, with a fake smile, and she’s curious to know what a real one would look like on him, or how he would look laughing. Once Nick hires her, suddenly Abbey finds herself with a much healthier salary, along with new wishes and desires to have a romantic relationship and a proper father figure for her son.
One of the other main themes of the novel is that you should always follow your dreams. Sometimes your dreams may seem scary and unattainable, or not profitable enough to live a lifestyle you’re used to, but ultimately your happiness comes from your triumphs and it’s worth the risk. Nick was so used to taking calculated risks to get business acquisitions, but he wasn’t used to making any risks in his personal life when he couldn’t foresee the outcome. Abbey has the ability to pull him away from work and to do the things he loves to do, like play the piano and spend time with family. I enjoyed watching Abbey pull Nick out of his obsession with working too hard and truly beginning to allow himself to enjoy his life. What good is all of that wealth if you don’t get to enjoy any of it? Life is about balance and making memories that will last a lifetime by scaling back on work to spend time with loved ones can be more rewarding than some realize.
I adored this novel. 5 stars!

This is a wonderfully heartwarming story that is perfect for the holiday season. Ms Hale is a new to me author but after reading this one, I will be looking for all her books! I loved her writing style, character development, and the pace at which she has the story unfold. In this book we have Nick Sinclair. Rich, handsome, and completely alone. With the single minded determination to make his father's business bigger and better than anyone ever dreamed it could be, having any kind of personal life is out of the question. When he gives in to his grandmother and agrees to have his currently empty home completely decorated for the upcoming holiday season, he hires single mom Abbey Fuller. While she is technically an in-home nurse, her dream is to become an interior designer. Never does he expect to be drawn in to her life or learn how little of a life he really has.
This is one I highly recommend!!

Jenny Hale has hit another homerun with another heartwarming, inspiring, family-oriented story that just happens to occur at Christmas! The main character Abbey is a single mom who is a devoted and caring nurse who cares for the grandmother of the other main character, Nick. Abbey exudes love and compassion for her family and patient and also has a passion for interior decorating. Nick is a handsome, single, educated, and prosperous man who has a passion for his business to the exclusion of all else. How these two people find balance in their lives by finding love is an interesting, captivating read. I particularly enjoyed how Nick's grandmother and Abbey's grandfather played a dominant but subtle role in the story. Also Abbey's son, Max brought the innocence of a child to the story and unwittingly sealed the bond. A wonderful read at anytime but particularly as Christmas approaches!

Well this story is promoted as a 'feel good festive treat' and it certainly is - I loved it!
Abbey is a single Mum, working as a home nurse, but originally had dreams of being an interior designer. The lady she is currently caring for, Caroline Sinclair, encouraged Abbey to decorate her cottage and has now suggested she does a similar job for her grandson, Nicholas Sinclair. The main difference is, he doesn't own a cottage, he has an 'enormous, Georgian-revival style mansion' instead! The payment he's offering her for the task is mind boggling to Abbey but she's wary of letting him down and does keep warning him that she's never done anything like it before. He, however, believes his gran and gives her relatively carte blanche to complete the task in time for his mother, sister and family arriving to celebrate Christmas in his home.
He's a workaholic. He doesn't want to do anything except increase the coffers of the business his late father lived - and died - for. Abbey, however, is a serious distraction for him. The story of how she warmed his heart, melting the icy barriers he'd constructed, truly makes this a feel good story and a delightful read at any time of the year!
Jenny Hale is a gifted wordsmith, creating complex, believable and easy to relate to characters, bringing them to life within the pages of her novel and taking the reader on a journey alongside them. The story is a real page turner, filled with emotional encounters and having plenty of twists to keep the reader engaged and entertained. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this novel to anyone who believes everyone deserves a chance to live and be loved, a fantastic festive romance that can be enjoyed whatever the season!
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If you are looking for a holiday feel-good story, look no further. Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses by Jenny Hale will bring this to you, the reader. Single mother Abbey Fuller has put her dreams of being an interior designer on hold to have a job, with a more guaranteed income for her young son Max, as a nurse. Nick Sinclair, uber rich businessman, needs someone to decorate his huge mansion before his family arrives for the holidays. Nick’s grandmother, Caroline, whom Abbey is working for, recommends Abbey for the job, despite the fact that she has little or no experience in the interior decorating business. Nevertheless, Abbey manages to decorate Nick’s huge mansion, while falling for this nurse/wanna-be decorator. This is a great holiday romance. There is a definite chemistry between Nick and Abbey almost from the start. Abbey’s young son Max is a real gem providing a lot of extra interest to the story, though sometimes I felt that he was acting and saying things beyond his young years, but who am I to complain? The story moves along at a somewhat irregular pace. I had difficulty getting into it initially, and felt that it was a tad drawn out, making it a bit too long, though the story did finally gain steam in the latter half. There is little plot beyond the romance between Nick and Abbey, though the author has managed to include characters who routinely add to the romance, while and even managing to get the two in some rather unrealistic positions and/or events, where they are thrust together scene after scene. However, this is a holiday romance, and, as such, needs to bring the two together for the reader to get the compete story. I have read other books by this author, and enjoyed them more. This one was just a bit too hurried and lacked some of the build-up anticipation the other books did. Still, as I said, this is a real feel-good holiday story, that will fill the reader with a lot of seasonal happiness and joy, while providing wanted holiday themed entertainment. I recommend it to anyone seeking a good holiday romance. Jenny Hale can and has produced another great romance, though, as I said, in my opinion, it is a bit of a long read, with one single plot and few, if any, other sub-plots. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.
