I don't have the credentials for an authoritative review, but M.D.'s and med students love this book and so do I as a pathophysiology book. It explains in real easy to read terms what my textbook by Barbara Gould definitely cannot do.

I just finished a graduate level Pathophysiology course required for Nurse Practitioner students. This book very simply and accurately unfolds the concepts of pathophys as well as cleverly reinforces the "interrelatedness" between systems. I used this book to review the systems, (as it has been 20 years since undergrad nursing courses)and then I used my required text (Guyton and Hall) to fill in the details once I had a good grasp of the concepts. This book was especially useful while studying the endocrine system. The diagrams were very helpful in reinforcing "wordy descriptions". This book helped me with my case studies, too!

Great book to invest in! Especially if you have several chapters to read for a class and you don't make it to one you can always read this book...it sums up pretty much everything the Patho text says!

I love this book!! Started using it during my 1st year of med school, still using it 2nd year. It is a great resource for presenting information in an easy to understand and organized manner. I always refer to it!

I teach two different classes in pathophysiology, one for biology majors and one for nursing majors. The book is written for medical students yet my biology major students LOVE it! The nursing students find it a bit difficult to comprehend. I believe this is due to the fact that the BIOL majors take a more rigous course in A&P than the NURS majors. A definant must have for those students serious about upper level pathophysiology.

This book I thought would be helpful but ended up repeating basic concepts and not much more. If you need things that simple class is more helpful than this book. Their are also no colored pictures. It's only hand drawn diagrams so if your a visual learner this book is not for you.

Very helpful. I am trying to review undergraduate material and also prepare for beginning a physician assistant program. This has been the perfect in between. The information is clear and their are good diagrams.

The delivery was fast. Book in good condition. The contents looks they are based on different system. In the syllabus of my school there are cell biology, genetics, nutrition, acid base, electrolyte balance, which are either missing or embedded in different chapters. I don't know yet I have to read it first.

One of the most compact approaches of pathophysiology. Clarified, straight to the point, helps you clarify all the physiological paths, useful tool for revision, as it organises your memory preety good!

I really liked this book. It was really helpful to read a simplified version of a difficult concept. I took off one star because I wish they would expand a little more of certain topics. But for the most part, the important high yield concepts were available in the book.
