I have never been compelled to post a review before but I am continually impressed by Mr. Robinson's imagination and the stories he produces; this particular book is no exception. I quite literally had to read it in one sitting because it was that engaging. A definite must read!!!

Omega is a great addition to the chess team series. Fans will enjoy it immensely. It's everything you'd expect from Robinson and his chess team. It's a fast paced thrill ride with enough action, intrigue, and myth to keep a reader going. Omega is a total blast and completely worth a read.

I didn't think Jeremy Robinson could possibly top the awesome goodness that was Threshhold. I was wrong. Omega is a full bore mix of action, thrills and mystery that will draw down on you if you even think about taking a break. Clear your calendar and dive right in.

Science fiction is delicate to write. You have to be far enough out to challenge the mind, yet not so far out that your mind rejects the magnitude of weirdness. Since this is the only one of the series I have read, I was not prepared for the magnitude of weirdness. Immortality, time travel, mother tongue that creates life, thousands of blood sucking creatures, a giant 3 headed dog, black holes that you wear around your neck, and a continuous battle scene was a bit much. Character development was reasonable enough that you got to like the characters and wanted to see how their lives came out. All in all, an ok book.

I started this series without any expectations. I had just finished the series The Event Group Thrillers by David L. Golemon and was pleasantly surprised by the genre so I quickly looked up similar style books. After starting a few series by popular writers, I found that I was not drawn into the world or characters of the super duper elite fighting teams of detailed Special Forces. I knew that there had to be something that I could emurge myself into while carpooling to work on my van-pool. I soon found this series first book, Prime. I immediately found the characters individually entertaining and uniquely robust.

I really enjoyed all the locations that the team visits and the dangerous threats they must overcome together as a team. From ancient folklore to futuristic science, the team overcomes staggering odds that seem to project them into their next mission. With state of the art weapons and pure military instincts; Jack Sigler leads "Queen", "Rook", "Bishop" and "Knight" across the globe in action packed, after action packed adventures.

Each member of the team has his or her own unique set of character traits that is key to their individual call sign. These call signs are based on the game of chess. The villains and pawns are believable and help shoot you into "could be" and "what ifs". The chess piece names are perfect for the maneuvering of the characters the author defines through the team’s handler A.K.A. Deep Blue.

The missions the team embarks upon are based on genetic sciences and anomalies. Pure fantasy with a taste of realism that will grab your inner childhood dreams of fighting monsters and modified humans. After a few books I realized that there are parallel books that develop each individual team member according to their call sign. I did some research and had to stop reading the book I was on to go back and read the individual books. I had noticed that it seemed like I had missed an episode or fallen asleep during a movie and was trying to catch up. Once I deciphered the timeline order, I was off to the races!

I have to add that these books are quick reads and great for my attention span (which my wife says if that of a sixteen year old). Overall I have to say I've recommended this series to other people who enjoy a fantastical thriller with pseudoscience and cryptology running a muck in a world of mystery and suspense.

HMMM . . . I HAVE BEEN READING ROBINSON AND CO-AUTHORS FOR YEARS, AND I DO BELIEVE "OMEGA" TOPS THE CAKE.

THRILLS AND CHILLS RUN AMOK IN THIS HEART-PULSING READ AND I WANT MORE. HOW THESE AUTHORS DEVISE SUCH INGENIOUS PLOTS WITH SWITCHBACKS GALORE . . . MUST BE A GIFT FROM THE PLACE NO ONE KNOWS EXISTS, EXCEPT THEM - UNFAIR . . . LOL.

I ENJOYED READING "OMEGA", AS I HAVE WITH ALL OF HIS WORK, ALSO TO INCLUDE CO-AUTHORS THAT I AM NOW INVESTIGATING TO SEE IF THEIR BOOKS CAN STAND UP OR AT LEAST COME CLOSE TO THE CRAFT ROBINSON HAS MASTERED.

I MUST SAY . . . THE STORYLINE, DETAILS, A NEW CHARACTER, THE RETURN OF THE COMPLETE CALLSIGN TEAM, AN OLD ENEMY THAT KEEPS COMING BACK- - - - LIKE A THORN IN THE SIDE, MERCENARIES, HONOR, DUTY, REVENGE, OTHER-WORLDLY HAPPENINGS AND THRILLS. THIS MIXTURE ROUSES THE BOOKWORM THAT RESIDES IN ME.

CAN IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS ?

Robinson and Gilmour have outdone themselves with their latest offering to the Chess Team saga.

The book took twists that I was NOT expecting, with some time travel, heroic champions of old, secrets revealed and 300 foot ancient Wonders of the World making appearances in the most unusual places.

I have been determined, for a long time, not to be swept up by the goodness and selflessness that is Jack Sigler, but damnit... this one really made me like him. Sorry Bish, but you know I am a fickle, fickle woman. Maybe next book, eh?

This is easily the best Chess instalment written (yet) and it was fantastic to see the Team back together. Where they belong!

OMEGA
By
Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmour
OMEGA is not just an adrenaline rush, it is a hypodermic surge straight to the heart. Robinson and Gilmour have teamed up to write a blistering thriller set in Carthage, Tunisia--in two different millennia!
The Chess Team will fight its greatest battle against two foes that may just be unbeatable. Richard Ridley is nearly immortal due to having an understanding of the Mother Tongue. If he can find and release the contents of the Chest of Adoon, there will be no stopping him from maniacal destruction and world domination. Their other foe is Alexander (Hercules): the son of Zeus--born an immortal--and living in the twenty-first century.
Asya, call-sign Pawn, King's sister, accompanies him and the team to Ridley's Omega laboratory in Carthage to free their parents from their captor, Hercules. During a fight, Asya watches Hercules grab King and pull him into a vortex, killing himself and King.
The rest of the team, under the leadership of Queen, must overcome the loss of their leader and try to fight and stop the unstoppable Ridley. While this is happening in the now, King and Hercules are in Carthage, in a distant past, fighting a battle of the heart. King doesn't know it yet, but he is about to write history.
The collaboration of Robinson and Gilmour results in a complex, character-driven thriller with some science fiction and fantasy thrown in. There are references to past Chess Team adventures and reading them first might help a newbie, but it's not necessary. OMEGA can stand on its own, much like the Colossus of Rhodes.
I am a huge Chess Team fan, and OMEGA tops them all!

Jeremy Robinson hits a grand slam AGAIN with his latest Chess Team novel, Omega. Jack Sigler (King) gets himself in some trouble with Alexander (Hercules) and fights for LONG, LONG, LONG time to get back to his team and loved ones. King not only fights some incredible enemies but fights time itself! such a great twist in this Chess Team installment.

If you love the Hercules character in the previous novels, you will love a this book. The depth and history that Jeremy gives him is nothing I could have guessed.

ANOTHER A+ FOR MR. ROBINSON

After tiring Ragnarok I wasn't sure what to expect from Jeremy Robinson. Happily his imagination has no limits. This book is much more focused on plot and characters. Sure there's still a lot of extreme situations but that's why I read this author.

In Omega, Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmour manage to send you from giggling over some new and amusing term to jaw dropped amazement in the drop of a hat. This is definitely the best one yet! I felt like I was on a thrillercoaster ride of insanity mixed with a little South Park "They killed Kenny! Those bastards!" Loved it!
