The Private Room (Billionaires Underground - Club Luxe 1

First things first, this book was well written and an excellent read. The character writing drew me in and captured my heart before I knew it. The story is excellent as well, thriller plus erotica makes for a fabulous fun read. The main problem is that story ends too soon. I found this book through a free ebooks newsletter. I normally don't go for serials because of the eventual need to buy more books if you love the characters. That is the case here. The story and characters would typically earn 5 stars from me. This book is the exception. The abrupt ending combined with the subsequent 5 books to get the full story at less than 200 pages each for $2.99 a piece prompts this review. Ordinarily I wouldn't hesitate to buy the books to continue reading, but the short nature of each book combined with the cost was too much for me. The 6 book series could easily have been done in 3 and I wouldn't have minded the cost.

I've started this book several times, and never finished it, simply because of the subject matter. Sex is fine, but the sex in the underground club is crude and mostly disgusting. But Ms Noble is a good writer and I decided she would have a point to make and the story would be good - and I was right! Victoria and Malcolm are going to be lovers - if they don't kill each other first! And she's going to help him find his daughter, if it's at all possible. That's a story worth reading, plus a great love story in the making. I've already bought book two, and it's waiting for me on the carousel. Join me and let's see what happens next!

I felt the mixture between love and erotica fit well in this book. It was suspenseful and emotional, while showing a lot of passion.

"She glared at him with such fury that she hoped he would burst spontaneously in a shower of blazing gore."

I found myself completely connected to Victoria, and gritting my teeth when she did -- worrying when she did. The writer did a great job of keeping the book interesting while providing some very hot scenes.

The ending is gripping and leads nicely into the next book.
