Lies Young Women Believe Companion Guide

This is perhaps one of the most important books that any young Woman (Teenager) will ever read to keep them from a life of sorrow. The other book Nancy Leigh DeMoss wrote is "Lies Women Believe - and the truth that sets Them Free" is a MUST READ FOR EVERY WOMAN and the Principles are for Men Also. I read 1,200 books and both are in my top 15.

I purchased these workbooks to go along with the book. I am teaching these lessons to a group of girls ranging from 11 to 14. It's great material and I would recommend it to anyone with young girls in their life!

This book really helped my small group of high school girls learn and grow in their faith. They realized many lies they were believing about themselves and God were what was holding them back from a true relationship with Christ and with their friends. I recommend this companion guide to anyone who is reading the book "Lies Young Women Believe..." with a small group. The questions are challenging and the discussions that come from them are rich.

Beware, do you, or do you want your daughter, reading sensationalized descriptions with details of how one father proceeded in an ugly direction with his daughter. Once read, will your daughter ever be able to erase the memory. We really don't have to continue flooding the media market with a higher degree of sensationalized material on damaging behavior issues, to keep teens reading on what happens to others. This will go in the trash, as I don't even another mom to read this book that make verbal pictures too clear. We really don't need counselors telling us all.

Lies Young Women Believe is an excellent resource for teen-agers. DeMoss and Cresh detail 25 lies often believed by young women. They interviewed many young women and tell some of their stories and they share their own experiences with overcoming lies and learning to hang onto the truth. They give practical and biblical solutions to countering the lies and trusting in the truth. Topics covered include lies about God, about Satan, about guys, about relationships, and more.
Give this book to a teen-ager you know!

This is a beautifully written book about the lies that we as women allow the devil to speak into our lives and the truth from the word of God to overcome them. I would recommend this book highly to anyone.

The shipping was quick and the product is in good condition. However, it was advertised as a clean copy (that's why I bought it) and contains lots of starring and a little bit of writing towards the end. It still works but is definitely not as was advertised...

Not completely without merit otherwise I'd be writing that it should get zero stars; however, the majority of viewpoints in this book are far too extreme to be practical and every time I think I read a nice lovely sentiment that actually resonates with me, it is followed by extremist absurdity that just doesn't align with my faith.

With the way the world is today, peer pressure, bullying, parents working a lot of hrs and latch key kids to say the least; this book reinforces the key elements that are crucial to keeping our young people grounded in their faith and in their relationship with Christ.

We have used this book for an inter-generational, inter-denominational study and it has been awesome. The Biblical truths providing the foundation of this study have the power to transform lives. Highly recommend this [...].
