Teach Yourself to Read Hebrew

So simple and so complete, this tiny book will travel everywhere with the serious Biblical Student. It's text is clear, simple and uncomplicated. You will quickly find yourself empowered by the ease of the teaching style.

This book "filled the gap" for me in reading/understanding written Hebrew. So many of my other resources jump into the "middle" of the process. I needed to a book that would get into the content AND give me the explanation of what I was seeing. This is that book.

Amazing book. In my opinion makes it super easy, when you finish it guess what you already know how to read hebrew. I would buy it again. It doesnt beat around the bush it goes to the point and makes it so easy to understand and learn
I heard or read i think that theres a cd for this if there is i would think its totally worth the money

Great beginner's book for those who are interested in learning Hebrew. I use this to teach a basic class. After this book, you'll know whether you want to pursue further knowledge of the Hebrew language as it does take commitment and dedication. Take note though that this is Biblical Hebrew and there will be slight pronunciation differences from the Modern. Also, this book will not cover the "adopted" letters which Modern Hebrew uses such as the "j" and "ch" sounds we use in English.

I can know decipher letters and read words. It's gratifying to be able to recognize words from the prayer book now that I'm at the end of the lessons. There are many exercises at the end of each lesson to reinforce what was taught.

I appreciate the different approach this books takes. Not just learning the alef-bet, then learning consonants, then vowels. But start by learning simple sentences to the more complex. It really sticks with you better.

Excellant book. gives the transalation of each Hebrew alphabet, and way to pronounce the language. I wouldn't say i can carry a conversation from what i learned in this book but at least i am able to translate a Hebrew Bible into regular English.

This is a great product and easy to comprehend. Considering that I have not taken any Hebrew in the past, I should not be able to read it. However, I am reading it and I will begin to learn how to speak it. Shalom.
