This is a fantastic action packed book. You can't put it down right from the start. Excellent writing and detail, great characters, with an exciting plot. This is a must read. Can't wait for the next one!

I really enjoyed this book. It had several moving parts to it that came together seamlessly. I read it in 2 days as I did not want to put it down. I'm looking forward to finding out in the next book what happens with these characters.

Really enjoyed the book. A little slow starting, but once it gets going it's off like an RPG. I love "Renee Hart" and am thrilled to see a strong female lead in such an action packed book. This debut for Joshua Hood is phenomenal! He uses personal experiences from war to help paint a vivid picture and keep you floored the entire time, please DONT miss this great piece of work by a true American and soldier!!! Great work bud, keep up the great work!!!

I can see a little of where it has to be good as a book. But was so very easy to visualise this being very real.

Clear by Fire puts you on the ground and vicariously you become the hero. It was an amazing first novel by a decorated hero, Josh has a bright future! Best book in this genre I have read, and this is my genre!

Just finished "Clear By Fire" last night. The fight scenes were so descriptive, I felt like I was actually there. Wasn't sure about Mason Kane at first but soon realized he was a true Patriot !! Can't wait for the sequel since there are still some scores to settle !! I am a huge fan of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Ben Coes and Brad Taylor. I can now add Joshua Hood to one of my favorites in the thriller terrorism genre !! I highly recommend "Clear By Fire" !!

Excellent first go around. Bravo Josh, you hit the nail on the head. We get so used to the "professional" writers we forget that a great book does not need to be perfect and polished and everything described to the tenth degree. This book gets grittier than the others and I liked it. Fast paced, good characters, good plot, everything you want in a good military read. And damn you Josh, the ending killed me and left me hanging, just like you wanted...So hurry up and write the next one.. Thanks man

Joshua Hood's ability to capture the essence of a kinetic combat operation is uncanny. The narrative describes actions on contact with heart pounding realism and in your face grit. As an initial offering, Clear by Fire is beyond a benchmark for the genre.

The author may have been in the Infrantry, but he doesn't know jack squat about how federal security agents go about thier business. This book is so unrealistic, I couldn't make it past the third chapter. There was no character development, no flow; just terrible.

Picked up this book and glad I did. Exciting read with humorous parts. Don't be surprised when this book gets made into a movie. Joshua Hood writes in a way that allows the mind to picture each explosion, car chase and gun fight. Josh is also a great follow on Twitter. He is very interactive with his followers and fans. This might have been his first book but Clear By Fire was written by a real pro.

The writing in this book is simply horrendously bad. I mean, really, really bad.

It's obvious that the author and publisher got a lot of fake reviews going here.
