SEAL Team Six: Hunt the Leopard

I read this book very quickly, and found it though provoking. I don't usually read books of this genre, but loved his non-fiction book, so tried it, and was glad I did. I don't why some of the other reviewers found the mountain climbing scene unneccessary, I think it helped develope the characters and I am looking forward to following them in the next book of the series.

Hunt the Wolf is a great debut novel and introduction to the series. It follows the adventures of Thomas Crocker and his team as they uncover an international kidnapping ring while on a training exercise. While reading you will be witness to a grueling test of human perseverance, determination and sheer will power. Much like a charging bull, this team will not stop until the mission is complete. Period.

Recent events have caused an explosion of interest in the world's most elite fighting squad - Seal Team Six. Hunt the Wolf is a novel based on several missions that are loosely connected and come together in an edge of your seat ending to a book that helps illustrate how super-human members of this elite squad really are.

This would be reason enough to read Hunt the Wolf, as the action and suspense are sure to grab your attention through the pages, yet in an unassuming way the book digs deeper into the lifestyle and the mindset of a Seal Team Six operator who is ginned up to kill terrorists but is nuanced enough to understand the intricacies of the fight against Muslim extremists.

Timely, exciting, and thought-provoking. Hunt the Wolf is worth your time.

I just finished reading Hunt the Wolf by Don Mann and Ralph Pezzullo and feel like I just got back from a mission myself. This was an action packed page-turner that I didn't want to put down. Even though I have very little knowledge on SEALs or any other type of military operations, I was intrigued by the story line and different adventures and wanted to keep reading. This book delivers vitality, honesty and opens you up to a harsh sense of how cruel the world can be. But along with this there are sensitive moments that bring you back to love and commitment - one's country, team members, family etc... I think Mann created this with obvious experience, intelligence and dedication to the SEALs and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fast- paced read.

I have read everything written by Don Mann and can just visualize the stories as if he were sitting beside me telling me like these were real SEAL team OP Mssions. I feel the intensity, emotion and danger. I am reading Hunt the Scorpion now, and think these would make great movies. Who would be a good actor for Tom Crocker? The Rock, Vin Diesel, Donnie or Mark Walberg maybe. Keep cranking them out!

Don Mann again continues to amaze me with Hunt the Wolf! His new novel is packed with action, intrigue and suspense. Along with the high speed non-stop Navy SEAL action the reader gets an intense mountaineering adventure as well. Mann and Pezzullo have obviously done their research on current events which shape the heart wrenching story. The characters in the book are based on actual Navy SEALs. Once I picked up the book I simply could not put it down. It is a real page turner that kept me up throughout the night. Hunt the Wolf has my highest recommendation and certainly deserves my 5 star rating. I am now waiting for the sequel, Hunt the Scorpion to be released.

Look out Vince Flynn and Stephen Hunter. Mr Mann has written an exciting, fact filled account that is a great addition to the action genre. His life in the Seal Teams adds the necessary authenticity to this novel. I highly recommend the book!

All I can say is look out Vince Flynn and Brad Thor---here comes the MANN. Fantastic job. Hope you have another book in the works.

As expected, Hunt the Wolf is an absolutely incredible SEAL Team SIX novel ,full of adventure and shoot-em up counter terrorist-type action. The suspense and pace of the story is simply unbelievable.
I could not put it down and read it in one sitting . I can't wait for the sequel!.

Excellent read. Very good descriptions of the combat, weapons use and the complex
thinking of the main character. Makes one wonder if this is fiction or non-fiction.
Based on the background of Don Mann and his pedigree I think Tom Crocker is
the same person. Can't wait for the next book.
