I just finished the first book and have now started my second one and I truly enjoy the character of Stephanie Plum, she is my kind of girl. I love the freshness of her character and the whole adventure of being a bounty hunter and the people she comes in contact with. I look forward to seeing where her relationship with Joe Morelli goes.

Stories are fun and a nice trip from stress but if you are looking for the enjoyment that you are used to when Lorelei King reads the books you will be sadly mistaken. I purchased the audio thinking that Lorelei King always read the Plum novels and I was so disappointed. The reader of the book should always be on the sales page.

This was a gift for my Grandma. I read all of the series and knew she would love them as well. This is a great series that will have you both laughing out loud trying to hold back the tears. It is great!

What's better than one Plum story?? Three stories in one!! Enjoyed the whole series of Plum books, one thru twelve. Evanovich has a very dry sense of humor along with suspense enough to keep you reading and reading.

OK, I love the Stephanie Plum series. Really & truely. This boxed set, I did not care for. What I didn't like was the person reading the audio book cd's. All the characters sound the same and there are many parts not included. Be smart and buy the books or get the unabridged cd's or tapes. I was very disappointed.

I have not heard from the person yet; so, I don't know how the books arrived. It is annoying to be forced to rate the item, and I am very busy and want to delete this from my email! So, I'll give it a 5 so as not to ruin the business rating!

I had read the books before [compliments of a friend]. I never laughed as much as I did with Janet Evanocich's stories. I purchased the books as a birthday gift for my great-niece. She needs some laughter in her life. Just graduated from college.

_One for the Money_:
The first book I read by Janet Evanovich was _Hot Six_, in which I fell in love with all of the characters, and vowed to read the entire series. The first book in that series, _One for the Money_, didn't disappoint.
Stephanie Plum is someone that nearly any woman can easily relate to, thanks to Evanovich's singular ability to make her characters incredibly human. On nearly every page, there is something to make the reader chuckle in appreciation and self-recognition, and the belly laughs are liberally sprinkled in as well. The wit and humor aren't the only draws to this book, as they were with Dave Barry's _Big Trouble_; Evanovich has a good plot, and she develops it well, cultivating suspense and curiosity throughout the story.
As Plum learns How to Be a Bounty Hunter while chasing after a cop charged with murder, she develops very believable relationships with her partner, (Ranger,) the cop she's chasing, (Morelli,) and sundry other people throughout the book. We follow her as she's chased by a sociopathic champion boxer, lives through really bad financial times, rummages for the keys to the car she's "comandeered" from Morelli after he throws them into a
dumpster, deals with her overly-protective mother, and suffers through numerous embarrassing situations that rarely feel too contrived.
A thoroughly enjoyable and quick read that'll keep you turning the pages. Evanovich writes the way I truly wish I could, and I look forward to the rest of the series.
_Two for the Dough_:
Sadly, _Two for the Dough_ lacked the sparkle of the first story in this book others. The belly-laughs were largely missing, as was a compelling plot. The characters are not as lively, and it felt like the whole thing was forced rather than enthusiastically and easily written.
Grandma Mazur plays a larger role in this book, and is generally enjoyable, but the idiosyncracies that were so entertaining in the first book are overdone and feel contrived here. The chemistry between Morelli and Stephanie doesn't sizzle as convincingly in _Two for the Dough_, and Ranger is almost entirely absent.
This book was fairly disappointing, and I found myself wishing it would end much sooner than it actually did. Still, I have high hopes for the remainder of the Evanovich books, though, because she has incredible talent. I just think _Two for the Dough_ was a bit rushed and that she didn't have a lot of passion for it. Hopefully, her spark and humor will return in _Three to Get Deadly_.
_Three to Get Deadly_:
Thankfully, halfway through _Three to Get Deadly_, Evanovich once again found her fantastic wit and seems to regain her footing in the characters. Stephanie's self-deprecating humor and bumbling about learning to be a bounty hunter buoys the luke-warm plot during the first half of the book; there are some laugh-out-loud moments, and a myriad of snorts and chuckles. I really enjoy the character of Stephanie - I see much of myself in her, and a lot of the laughter was from self-recognition in her assorted neuroses and thought processes. The development of Lula's character was a very nice addition to the story as well.
One thing which disgruntled me during the first half of the book was the almost total lack of the spark that Stephanie had in the first two books; her character virtually crackled with life previously, but here it feels more like plodding until the second half of the story. Additionally, in the first two, she was 5'7" and a basically unapologetic 145 pounds - sturdy, and chuckling at how she was really "not fragile." In _Three to Get Deadly_,
she is 125 pounds and fretting about her weight. 5'7" and 125 pounds is not a weight to fret about! Alas. Pleasantly, though, Ranger is much more a part of this story than he was in the second book, and the tension between Stephanie and Morelli picks up steam again in the last quarter of the story.
I'm hoping Evanovich will continue the tradition of vivid characters who continually surprise the reader in the
other books in the series. Grandma Mazur thankfully drops back into the role where she adds a wonderful element to the story, but isn't a driving part of the plot.
I'm glad there are many more already written, so I don't have to wait. If only Patricia Cornwell and JaneT Evanovich could kind of merge into one fabulous writer, we'd have Evanovich's tremendous sense of humor and character, with Cornwell's ability to write a suitably complex and interesting crime plot.
If you're new to Evanovich, _Three Plums in One_ will definitely give you a taste of her style, to let you know if you'll enjoy the series or not. Having the first three volumes compiled together in one handy volume is a nice way to save bookshelf space, too.
If you haven't read the first book in this series, I really recommend picking it up to learn how Stephanie gets into the whole bounty hunter business. Skipping the second book wouldn't leave much of a gap, as important points are mentioned in _Three to Get Deadly_. _Three_ is worth the time to read, though, and I'm looking forward to _Four to Score_.

If you have any interest in reading Janet Evanovich, buy THIS book. The omnibus edition can't be beat. After you read book 1, you'll HAVE to read book 2, and after book 2... Well, book 3 is a MUST.

Stephanie Plum is a mystery all-unto-herself, and she's funny. The characters which people her life are also hilarious. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much! I enjoyed the books so much that I read 4 of them in one night, and that's unusual for me. I just couldn't stop laughing.

Stephanie is constantly blowing up cars, escaping near-death, and juggling 2 men, a crazy grandmother, and bounties almost everyone could catch---except Stephanie.

Ranger, the sexy bounty hunter who trained Stephanie, keeps Stephanie as an "entertainment" line in his budget. So do I. Bring on more Plum. She's definitely hilarious.

Stephenie Plum is currently unemployed and already had to sell some of her furniture and kitchen appliances to get by. She desperately needs a job and ends up working as bounty hunter for her cousin Vinnie - a bail bondsman. Stephenie decides to go after Joe Morelli for the money - a guy she knew from her childhood - and ends up in a mess involving a heavyweight boxer, his manager, two prostitutes, street crime and her hilarious family. This book made me laugh out loud in several scenes (such as Grandma Mazur and the chicken, the dumpster, the pussymobile, ...). To conclude, I really enjoyed this book, it is fast paced and the storyline is interesting enough. It seems I'll have to read the rest of the series!

This collection of the first three books in the Plum series is where it all began. In these books, we first meet Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter. Stephanie's funny, she's quirky, and she's not really that great of a bounty hunter. She's constantly in trouble. People want to shoot her. People blow up her cars (yes as in plural). But, despite her hard times and her lack of skills, Stephanie is just someone you have to fall in love with.

In One of the Money, we are introduced to Ranger, the sexy bounty hunter who we know nothing about except for the fact he's good looking...and he's a heck of a bounty hunter. We also meet Joe Morelli. Stephanie's job is to hunt Morelli down as her first case as a bounty hunter. But there's a twist...a very funny twist. This story will keep you laughing out loud even in the middle of the night.

Two for the Dough and Three to Get Deadly are just as funny as the first book in the series. Start to read these books and you'll have to go get the whole collection. Take my word, you'll fall in love with Stephanie Plum.

I kept hearing about Janet Evanovich everywhere. On a soap opera message board, book club flyers, talk shows, and everytime I was in a book store, one of her books was on display up front. When I saw the "Three Plums In One" book, I decided to get it and see what all the fuss was about.
Some internet friends said, read the first one and you'll be hooked. I was laughing out loud from the first chapter! Everyone has a somewhat dysfunctional family, and the Plums are no exception. They are a wide variety of personalities and you can't help but be drawn into it. What mess will Stephanie be in next? What will Grandma do/say next? What job will Mom suggest to Stephanie next?
Stephanie tries to just do this first job to help her make rent in a tight spot, but soon it snowballs into taking another case while she works on the first that was harder than she thought. Morelli and Ranger keep popping up to help, or hinder, her efforts, and keep things interesting! This book is a very easy read, and is HARD to put down!! I was laughing so much that my Mom said she wanted to read it after me, she read ALL 3 in a week!! I wasn't that fast, but it kept me busy during the LONG car ride on vacation. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery/suspense or police type books. I am going to read the others ASAP!!

These books are HILARIOUS! Every time I read a Stephanie Plum book by Janet Evanovich, I end up laughing until I'm in pain. Yeah, it's "light reading," but it's highly entertaining. Personally, I think it can be hard to make people laugh. These books do just that. I'm all for great works of literature and reading for enlightenment, expanding your horizons, blah blah blah. But every now and then you've got to read something just for the pure pleasure of hysterical laughter. If Stephanie's botched attempts at bounty hunting or Grandma Mazur's obsession with funeral homes doesn't make you crack up, seek professional help immediately.

Other reviews have done a great job analyzing the content of these delightful little books, but I was introduced to Stephanie Plum on CD during a road trip (that went through Jersey, which made the books that much better). I have to attract attention to Lori Petty's fantastic reading. Her hooker voice made me laugh over and over, and she does a great job of developing distinctive voices for all the other characters as well. The tone is perfect, she's totally clear on every word, and she really does add another level of enjoyment to the experience of listening to these books on CD.

This is where you start the Plum novels, 1, 2, and 3. You can read the reviews and story summations on the other reviews listed here. Yes, all her books are wonderful, yes they are worth the price, but why indeed this 3 in 1 hardcover?
I bought the first in paperback, and my wife and I loved it so much, I went out for the second, and maybe the third. Sitting next to them on the shelf was this inclusive volume. With 30% off, it was about the same price as the three paperbacks put together, and I loved all three books. Get it.

I've already written reviews for these three books individually so I wont repeat myself here....much. Suffice it to say that if you havent read any of the Stephanie Plum books but would like to start, this collection is perfect for you.
In short, ONE FOR THE MONEY & THREE TO GET DEADLY are wonderfully hilarious. The second book, TWO FOR THE DOUGH, is okay but falls short in its humour and action content.
The Stephanie Plum series is in its eight book now and probably will last another eight. Read this collection of the first three books that started the craze.
Before the series goes stale.

My sister passed this book to me about two months ago, and I just finally got around to it last week. (You know the drill, I had other books to read, ones that I thought were better than this one.) Well I finished the book in less than five days! I just couldn't put it down. I found myself reading until dawn and even then was tempted to call in sick to work to keep reading!
This series was both laugh out loud funny and suspenseful. The characters that Janet Evanovich has put together are so colorful! I don't know how she came up with them, but it makes her a pure genius in my mind.
If you haven't read this series yet, you are really missing out!

This is the first book in a series of books about bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. Stephanie is clumsy, love-challenged, and broke. I could definitely identify with her. I laughed out loud so many times while reading this book...and had tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard. Once I read the first chapter, I was hooked. I'm a Stephanie Plum fan and have read all of the books in the series so far without disappointment.

WARNING: THESE BOOKS ARE ADDICTIVE.

I'm twenty and have had it with the teen books since I was eighteen, this series sucked me in instantly. It was introduced to me by my mother and we laugh and discuss these books whenever we talk. It's almost like we have a very candid friend named Stephanie Plum. I ended up buying the entire series! Some books in the series are better than others but every person has their ups and downs.

This is a fun series that starts out really strong. It's a light, quick read. Stephanie Plum is the sassy and plucky woman I wish I could be. Her life is far from perfect, but she makes it work for her. You might as well by these three together because you'll want to read them all.

Long after the deed, I just wanted to give the accolade to the first tomes which hooked me to the Evanovich series. Funny and riveting, they also make the burg a microcosm of human nature. Although an easy read, these books gave me several unexpected insights, most notably into woman nature. And like all good humour, the funniest parts are the ones where you recognize your self.

With the John Rain series, these are by far my preferred recent thrillers.

I read this because someone recommended Janet Evonovich's books as being good reads - pretty hilarious- etc. I had also seen a couple of her books on the best seller list. I could not get into them at all. They are very simple with character development that doesn't really occur. When I read I am usually able to picture a character in my mind - not so with these books. To me, the recommend was highly over rated. If you want to read something simple, fast and easy on an airplane to kill time - maybe - otherwise skip Evonovich.

I loved Stephanie Plum, and the first time through the series I couldn't get enough of the sets. However, as I reread the set a second time I realized that every story is summed up in the first 3 books. Stephanie will never develop beyond the third book (maybe four if you count a few characters that are worth reading), and there will never be a decision between Morelli and Ranger. It starts to get old reading about how she can't catch a skip--regardless of how obvious it is she is about to majorly f up the catch. That's why I think the first 3 (maybe 4, I can't remember when the stoner guy comes in) are worth the read.

These are not meant for someone who is wanting to read an epic, they are fun and lighthearted and simple reads and if you like laid back stories from time to time this is worth it.

One of my friends introduced me to the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich and I am hooked! I have not finished the entire series but I did buy this 3 pack to get me started. These are easy, fun, quick reads that make me laugh out loud.

If you like a great laugh, you will love these books! I started reading and couldn't believe I finished all 3 books because I could hardly put it down! I bought all of the other books in the series and can't wait to get started!

Although a bit on the edge when it deals with sex, these 3 books are fun as well as a great quick-read. Good way to spend a few days; you'll feel like she's your friend. She mostly says what she thinks...but when she doesn't, we still know what is on her mind and it'll bring a smile to your face (or an explosion of laughter.)

These laugh out loud novels are the first in a series centered around Stephanie Plum, a thirty-year old lingerie buyer who finds herself unemployed and desperate for money. In each novel, Stephanie stumbles her way through a murky underworld as a bounty hunter in Trenton, NJ.

Being from NJ, these stories really hit home!! Stephanie Plum is the epidomy of the big hair, spandex clad, hockey shirt wearing girl from my past!! She is hilarious. I agree with the other reviewers that these are those types of books that you can't seem to put down. I have been able to read each book in 3-4 days. Definitely worth the read.

I'm almost done w/ the 2nd book - a good easy breezy read when you don't feel like getting into anything too heavy. Plus there are a lot of books in the series to keep you going for awhile. Fast shipping.

Got to love those Stephanie Plum books and this 3 in 1 book is a bargain. You get the first 3 books in the series at a great price. It's like getting one book for free. I bought this for a gift and I'm sure it will hook the recipient on the series.

Great way to meet Stephanie Plum. This is a quick way to get going. Stephanie is not stereotypical in any sense. She's down to earth, smart, resourceful and has a long memory. If you've always wanted to do something out of the ordinary, do it vicariously through Stephanie Plum. You won't be disappointed.

I have read many, many mystery books and this one is the best. Not only is the writing hilarious, but it pulls you in and demands your attention. She is the best writer of our time for good, interesting writing. This is a must read if you have liked Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone, you'll love Stephanie Plum!

I love the book, and I hope that Ms. Evanovich keeps on writing about Stephanie Plum and I hope that she gets married to Joe Morelli. What's with her constantly breaking up with him? Besides that, this book kept me laughing and I can't wait to read book 11. I love Ms. Evanovich's humor and the way she is able to describe people and incidents as if you are actually there! Keep on going Stephanie Plum!!

If you want the gist of the books these are the way to go considering they are an ABRIDGED copy. The reader Lori Petty does an alright job. unfourtnaly I would recommend the unabridged read by either C.J Critt or Lorelei King they do a supuerb job where Petty is lacking

My daughter told me I should read these books, try the first one and see if I like them. They are GREAT! The books have a little bit of everything in them mystery, suspense, romance and comedy. I have ordered the box set 1 & 2 and need to order the rest. You will love these books.

This book was wonderful! All three stories were funny, well written and impossible to put down. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a new series with a ridiculous yet believable and fabulous main character.

Fast & Easy Read! Great for airplanes, but be prepared for some funny looks when you are laughing out loud. Grandma Mazur and Lula seem to find trouble wherever they go. (Although Stephanie is not really a very good bounty hunter!) :)

If you have never read any of the Stephanie Plum novels by Mrs. Evanovich, you are missing out! So funny, so quirky, and so suspenseful! All of her Plum books I have finished in 2 days or less. They are addictive! And what's better than 3 books in 1?

This set is a great value and the Stephanie Plum books are really addicting! I just bought this a week ago and I'm already on book 9 of the series (I bought the next 2 boxed sets after reading the first book!).

The Stephanie Plum series is so funny. All of the books in that series are well worth the money!! I bought this series for my mother in law and she's enjoying them as much as everyone else I know who has read them.

The Stephanie Plum series is so great. I have read a few of her books that are outside the series but to finally get all the background is great! You will really fall in love with Stephanie Plum and all her antics.

I don't see what the big deal is about this series. I usually finish up an entire series, but I started and stopped with this, and I won't continue. Stephanie Plum goes through the same exact steps with each new day, her boyfriend always shows up wherever she goes, and these stories are exactly like each other. I liked Gretchen Archer, Cindy Blackburn, Jana Deleon, and Jenna Bennet so much better.

I wish that my opinion of these books was better but I fail to find the humor in any of the stories. I came away from reading these stories feeling sorry for Stephanie. Even at the end of the third book, she still has not become "involved" with Joe. If you like reading books that contain violence, then this is for you. A friend recommended this book to me and I wish I hadn't listened. Janet Evanovich seems to be a very prolific writer - however - I fail to see the humor in her stories. Stephanie is a true survivor but her life is so hard - what humor is there in that? I think that if you have a great life that is easy - you might like reading this sort of book. However, if you can feel Stephanie's pain - then you won't enjoy reading this. Being a survivor is not easy. As a survivor - I prefer to read books that delve into the character's minds and one where the characters have "real", in-depth relationships and where there is hope at some point. Janet Evanovich is very fortunate to be so popular with her writing. It would be great to see something from her with more "depth" to it and less "crude" violence.

This series was recommended to me, and I was looking for something light to escape with. Unfortunately, I had trouble making it through volume 1, much less the rest of the series. The prose is like a first draft, and the characters are all stereotypes. I find it hard to care what happens to any of them. Maybe I'm just the wrong audience.

I love Janet Evanovich. I was trying to collect all of the books in the Plum series and this made it easier for me since it has the first three all in one book. If you love this writer, this is a must have!

I ordered a book that was supposed to be in good condition. I was very disappointed when it arrived. It was soiled, some of the pages stuck together, the spine broken and pages loose. It even smelled bad. I sent it back within a week in April. I hadn't heard from them by the middle of June so emailed them and they finally credited my account. Bad experience all around.

I absolutely love this author. Her sense of humor makes me laugh out loud; while she isn't your normal bounty hunter I like how she grows and how she builds on her character. Very different from others out there with the same idea...and wonderful read.
