Love love Michelle Pillow's books, so its no surprise that I loved this one as well. Love Potions was one hilariously fun sweet wild ride. (Yes, all of that and more!)

First and foremost, I loved just about every single (I'll qualify this with GOOD) character in this book, and that's rare. It means good writing when there is such equality between characters that they all fit into the book. They all had their part in the story and it wouldn't have been the same without their antics. Love Charlotte, everyone needs the token sarcastic friend. The ghostly grandmother, Annabelle. I loved the snark between all of the MacGregor family, but especially I love how Malina was being around so many brothers and Mama MacGregor was a laugh riot! Seriously. I could write on and on about each character and why I loved them, but alas then I'd be giving away story. So Kudos to you, Michelle, for writing such quality characters that I fell in love with each and every one of them and now need more.

So onto the real story of Love Potions.

When we meet her, Lydia Barratt is a sweet and quiet woman who likes to keep to herself. She's also a skeptic when it comes to magick and her own grandmother's powers/spells and abilities. Then she meets Erik MacGregor and things sort of spin out of control, but she goes from being a skeptic to being a strong beliver. Poor sweet, deluded, Lydia thought she was going to live a quiet hermit life, with the MacGregors as neighbors. HA!

Erik, the intriguing scotsman from the start. First scene and he had already captivated my attention. Scottish. Warlock. Shifter. Enough said. And he has a strong loyalty to his family and the obligation of finding them the perfect "Home" for the entire clan. Some place perfect to hide who and what they are and return them to nature to rejuvenate their powers.
Erik appears in Green Vallis to check out a Castle that is for sale. Said castle just so happens to share the land with Lydia and her home, where she bases her business Love Potions. At one glance, both Erik and Lydia feel a connection. However, Lydia doesn't date and she's not exactly wanting to change her stance on that, and the fact that Lydia shares the property he's just purchased is a hitch in Erik's plans.

Hijinks ensue, crazy best friends, insane family members, a nasty nasty evil is lurking, intent on hurting Lydia and using that to harm the MacGregors. Which leaves us with an added suspenseful touch to our ride of romance. Erik and Lydia with the help of the entire MacGregor Clan, work to find their path while saving each other from the nefarious plans aimed in their direction.

Michelle Pillow was able to write this romantic tale with just enough balance between comedy, romance, and suspense to bring out so many feelings. I laughed, I sat on the edge of my seat, I loved watching Erik and Lydia fall in love and find their true purpose in each others lives.

And also Scottish. KILTS. I mean. Really. I don't need to go any further about my feelings about Kilts, do I?!!!

I need more of the hilarity that is the MacGregor family in my life, Michelle, so please please write more from this series!

Too say that I was surprised by Love Potions would be an understatement. By that I mean just how much I enjoyed it. I know I am pretty much ensured a good read when I pick up an Entangled book, but Love Potions went over and above my expectations.

Her eyes raked over him. The crewneck black cotton shirt he wore moulded to his flesh, leaving no mystery as to the fine shape of his body. The long sleeve bulged at the shoulders; leading to a thick, muscled chest... he was by no means slender, for his stomach was nothing but a continuation of solid muscle. His heather gray, flat-front pants hugged to his perfect waist. The material draped quite erotically over his thighs and claves as a breeze stirred against them. The pants draped something else as well – the giant bulge nestled between his legs.

I absolutely adored this book, being a Brit, I did read it with a certain amount of tongue in cheek, as the whole Scottish element of the book is vastly overplayed, but for me it just enhanced the book. I loved Erik MacGregor and his family, a Clan of Warlocks that essentially spend their days playing magick tricks on each other, and getting into mischief. It doesn’t hurt that he isn’t scared of rocking up in a Kilt on occasion!

Any woman would have to be dead not to be attracted to the walking mass of sexy that was Erik MacGregor.

Lydia Barratt was easy to like as well, initially you think that she is going to be the usual simpering damsel in distress and, once again my expectations were wrong. She was feisty, fought back and didn’t allow Erik’s magick to sway her when it came to his seduction of her, and her methods of keeping him at bay were absolutely hilarious at points too.

”I already know how good I am in bed. You’d be lucky indeed to get me between your sheets.”

I hope that this series runs for a while, with 4 more brothers, a sister and cousins a-plenty; there is scope for a few more Sexy-Scottish adventures to be taken.

Sometimes I just love my book review job beyond all measure and this has been one of those weeks. To have the opportunity to review a new series from Michelle M. Pillow has been a real pleasure. I have only recently discovered her Dragon Lords series and was blown away with the first book. So when I was sent a notice that Ms. Pillow had a new series and there was the chance that I could get a first look, Wow did I jump at that like I haven't jumped before. And I'm so pleased not only that I did but that I've read this unique book. I'm also thrilled that this is going to be a new series, fingers crossed.

So what has me so gripped and delighted about this book? Let us first discuss this cover. Can anyone say "Whoa"? There is so much going on in this cover and yet it really does give you a taste of what you will read about between page 1 and The End. Namely an amazing Scottish man and a little magic.

Our heroine, Lydia Barratt is a shy beauty that runs a local business that specializes in lotions but is best known as the granddaughter of the towns local witch. She has been quite content to fill orders and deliver them to the post office but runs into our yummy Scottish warlock, Erik MacGregor on one of deliveries.

The heat coming off these two is combustible and yet they both have reasons to avoid involvement much less a relationship. Erik's main concern is to settle into the large estate which he as purchased and get it ready for the rest of his clan to arrive. While Lydia just isn't into a quick fling.

Once the clan starts arrive hijinks and magic start to become part of the narrative and I was delighted and captured especially by the pranks that the Warlock MacGregor siblings play on each other. The images of someone frozen in place still brings a smile to my face.

However, there is also an evil presence that is trying to take over more than just the town. Not to mention Lydia's grandmother appearing as a ghost which was a real addition to this story.

Final Thoughts, this is definitely a book that anyone that is a fan of magical hijinks, great story and a Scottish hero to die for needs to add to their library. Ms. Pillow has set up an amazing world and I can't wait to see every last one of the MacGregor's land under the influence of a Love Potion or two. When is book 2 going to be out, Ms. Pillow enquiring minds want to know.

Entanged: Covet Publishing provided me with a copy of Love Potions but nothing else was exchanged for my honest review.

The first book in the Warlocks Macgregor series is a mesmerizing and magical read. Warlock Erik Macgregor isn’t looking for love and Lydia Barratt just wants to be left alone to grow flowers and make lotions, but Erik finds himself drawn to her and he won’t give up. Erik’s sister gets involved and her little love potion prank goes terribly wrong and they’ll have to find a way pull Erik out of the spell fast because evil lurks within the shadows and it plans to Lydia alive or dead to take out Erik and his clan.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with suspense, humor, drama, action, romance and magic. The author brings the story to life with well written scenes and events which inspire vivid images that capture the imagination and invite the reader to join the Macgregor clan in all their fun drama. The strong compelling characters are charming, easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning.

The attraction between Erik and Lydia radiates from every page and the sex scenes are hot and steamy, but the relationship has magical sparks flying in every direction…literally. Things never seem to go quite as planned when the Macgregors are around and of course hot sexy centuries old warlock, of Scottish descent, Erik in under the impression that he can dictate things go his way including Lydia, which makes for some hilarious hi-jinks and conversations. The reader can’t help but get caught up in all the drama and the well orchestrated evil action is exciting and believable adding spice and depth to the story.

The author has created a fun, fascinating paranormal world of captivating and charming Scottish warlocks and the story has some surprises to keep the readers on their toes as well. I was totally enraptured with the story from the very beginning and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle:

Love Potions was a fun, witty, supernaturally charged Paranormal Romance with just enough intrigue to keep you guessing.

I'm a longtime fan of Michelle Pillow, and when I saw that she had the debut novel of a new series coming out I was super excited. Plus, you can't go wrong with hot men in kilts, right!? :)

Erik is part of a large long-standing Highland Warlock clan. They're looking for a new home base and find that in the midwest. What Erik (and his entire Clan) aren't prepared for, is that they have a neighbor who is utterly unwilling to move and who immediately puts Erik off of his game, and who is already embroiled in some lurking evil that even she is not aware of.

Love Potions made me laugh out loud in more than one place. The entire MacGregor clan loves to do nothing more than play magical tricks on one another. While it's all a bit immature, they ARE an immortal clan of siblings and cousins who live together throughout time, all the time. I think I'd find new and interesting ways to hex my family, as well.

The leading couple, like all of Michelle's heroes and heroines, have plenty of steamy on-page action, and while their path to their HEA wasn't an easy one, it was full of relief for the reader when they got there and super fun every step of the way.

I cannot wait to see which of the MacGregors Michelle writes about next in the WARLOCKS MACGREGOR series. I have a feeling that every book of this series will be engaging, romantic, and full of light-hearted fun.

If you enjoy your paranormal romances filled with magic, mayhem and plenty of wit, then this book will most definitely be a good one for you to try!

Lydia runs a business selling lotions out of her family home and basically keeps to herself. This is due to the fact she grew up with a grandmother that was called the crazy witch. Since her grandmother's passing she has become a recluse much to her best friend Charlotte's dismay.

Gabriel is a warlock looking for a home for his family and runs into Lydia on her way to the post office to mail packages from her business. And man do the sparks fly. He doesn't pursue her as he is late to meet the realtor and family comes first. Of course the fact that she lives on the edge of the property he is shown doesn't have anything to do with his decision to buy it.

He casts a spell on Lydia to make her more relaxed with him thinking he will have his way with her then send her away. Then he will buy her home and set her up somewhere else with no memory of any of it. And just like all well laid plans this go astray.

When his family comes into the picture the laughter becomes more intense. They have been alive so long that they enjoy tormenting each other in ways that left me laughing so hard I cried. It brings back memories of my childhood and the things my brothers and sisters would do.

I think my favorite was the love potion gone wrong. Just imagine a man in a kilt singing bawdy love ballads, eager to do anything to please, dancing around not knowing everyone can see that he doesn't have anything on under his kilt. This was thanks to his sister and Lydia wanting to get some payback for the spell he cast on her.

Of course there is a sinister force in the book along with some sexy scenes. This book has it all and I highly recommend it.

I cant wait to read more about the Warlocks MacGregor.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

“Ly-di-ah! I sit beneath your window, laaaass, singing ‘cuase I loooove your a—“

When the handsome & hunky Scotsman Erik MacGregor shows up in Green Vallis, Wisconsin, Lydia Barratt’s quiet world will never be the same again! Lydia just wants to make her lotions and keep to herself, growing her internet sales and only venturing out into town to mail her products. When Erik MacGregor enters her life her quiet existence is turned upside down, and we are treated to a laugh out loud story with magic, mystery, and some steamy times.

I really enjoyed this story and loved watching Lydia try to deny her attraction to Erik and then try to fight off his advances – especially since that attraction has a bit of a magical element and influence to it! And once Erik’s family gets involved things just go from crazy to insane. The shenanigans that go on between the siblings in the MacGregor family were priceless, and it was so much fun watching them all try to one-up each other with the pranks and spells (and even some modern technology).

There is a magical connection between Erik and Lydia, and although this connection can potentially be dangerous for him, Erik can’t resist the pull he feels towards Lydia. And when his sister ends up putting a spell on Erik that doesn’t quite go as planned, it is quite comical watching Erik profess his feelings to Lydia through song and prose! Of course Lydia can’t resist Erik either, but she can’t help but be a bit wary of him once his magical nature is revealed. And that mouth on Erik does nothing to help Lydia keep her cool around him…

“Aye, love, I already know how good I am in bed. You’d be lucky indeed to get me between your sheets.”

As magical things heat up in the small town of Green Vallis, Lydia gets caught in the center of some magical mayhem that ultimately finds both her and her friend Charlotte in danger, and the MacGregors having to band together to keep evil at bay. Throw in the very vocal ghost of Lydia’s grandmother and some colorful townfolk, and this made for one fun read!

This was a great introduction to the MacGregor clan and I can’t wait to read more about the other members of the family and hopefully see more of Lydia and Erik in the future.

Love Potions
A Warlocks MacGregor Novel

Contemporary Scottish Magickal Romance

A little magickal mischief never hurt anyone...

Erik MacGregor, from a clan of ancient Scottish warlocks, isn't looking for love. After centuries, it's not even a consideration...until he moves in next door to Lydia Barratt. It's clear that the shy beauty wants nothing to do with him, but he's drawn to her nonetheless and determined to win her over.

Lydia Barratt just wants to be left alone to grow flowers and make lotions in her old Victorian house. The last thing she needs is a demanding Scottish man meddling in her private life. Just because he's gorgeous and totally rocks a kilt doesn't mean she's going to fall for his seductive manner.

But Erik won't give up and just as Lydia let's her guard down, his sister decides to get involved. Her little love potion prank goes terribly wrong, making Lydia the target of his sudden embarrassingly obsessive behavior. They'll have to find a way to pull Erik out of the spell fast when it becomes clear that Lydia has more than a lovesick warlock to worry about. Evil lurks within the shadows and it plans to use Lydia, alive or dead, to take out Erik and his clan for good.

Review:

If you like fun, paranormal romances....then you should pick this one up!

Now, I have never read this author before, but if all of them a filled with this fun, witty, snarky, dialog...sign me up for more of her books. So, I was sneaking reading this one at work and there were quite a few times, that I had to stop myself from laughing out loud while reading. Loved the part where Erik is been whammied with a love potion and he is singing outside of Lydia's house.

The book is not all fun and games though, there are some nastys out to get at not only Erik's power, but someone is obsessed with Lydia. This story is full of magickal beings; warlocks, witches, ghosts, and shapeshifters and though it has all these things the Author did a great job of blending them all into a cohesive world/story.

I loved the characters from Erik and his sexy, alpha male self to Lydia, who starts out shy and reclusive but comes into her own while dealing with Erik, his family and all the things happening around her. Erik's family is fun, they are like a bunch of 10 year old's living in adult bodies...they are always up to mischief but are right there to help each other out in a crisis. I am hoping we get to see more of Lydia's best friend Charlotte, the poor thing gets put through the wringer in this book, so hopefully she will get a HEA.

Great story and I cannot wait until the next in the series!!!

Overall Rating: 4 Rockin’ ★★★★

Lydia’s was raised by her grandmother, a green witch or a naturalist and she had taught her everything she knew about herbs and making potions. When her grandmother died she left everything to Lydia including Lydia’s childhood home. Lydia is spooked by the feeling that something is coming, something really powerful. She meets a beautiful man on her way to the post office and is immediately attracted to him.

Erik is an immortal warlock and is looking for a new home for his clan. When he helps a young woman pulling a cart filled with packages he is instantly entranced with her. He feels like there is something special about the reaction that they are both having to one another but his priority is finding his family a new safe home that will protect them from non-magick users. Finding Lydia is the icing on the cake for Erik. He had given up on finding his fiorghra but he could still enjoy a beautiful woman and Lydia attracted him like no one else ever had.

Will Erik be able to convince Lydia that she belongs with him and she should trust him? Can he protect her from the evil that wants to use her to destroy him and his family?

What is it about the Scottish that fascinate us so? It it the accent, all those growling burrs and lassies? The image of the highlands all green and mystical? Or is it simply the kilts? Through in some paranormal romance and I was so there. When I saw this book I was intrigued and thrilled that I was able to get it. I had put in a request through both the publisher and through Netgalley to double my chances and got a yes back from both.

The story opens with Lydia Barratt going about her typical day in Green Vallis, Wisconsin. Lydia has lived in Green Vallis all her life, from the time she was a small child. Lydia lived and worked in the house that her grandmother, a self-professed green witch, had left to her. Lydia wasn't sure that she believed in everything her grandmother had taught her, but she was starting to make a name for herself and her small business, Love Potions. While taking a load of lotions and soaps to be shipped out to the post office, she meets Erik MacGregor for the first time.

Erik MacGregor was in town to locate a suitable property for his extended family and clan. It was currently his turn to find a location that would be suitable for the dozens of family members who would be descending on whichever location Erik chose for their new home. In Green Vallis, he has found the right combination of energies and activities to keep the family from growing bored. It's not long before Erik finds himself completely enchanted by Lydia.

I was surprised by this book. Just about the time I thought I knew which direction the book was heading, the author would change things up. I liked that though Lydia wasn't aggressive, she wasn't a push over either. She held her ground and gave back just as good as she got. I especially liked that she didn't just fall at his feet, but made Erik work for the relationship. There were several times that I laughed out loud, and I admit to shedding some tears as well. Overall this book just worked for me. It is a solid 4 star read and a great start to a new series.

LOVE POTIONS was a great introduction to a new series full of magic, love and mischief (and I can't forget the sexy Scottish Men).

I enjoyed Lydia. She is a bit of a loner but she is just plain likable. Erik is all alpha male, hardheaded and all. Lydia and Erik made a nice couple. Sparks fly instantly and their romance is a bit fast and furious but they definitely butt heads at times and there are many moments where you think it just might be over for good.

I enjoyed the mix of the modern world with the hints of the old. The supporting characters were just as important in the story as the main characters. The whole MacGregor family was a ball of fun. I really felt like I was got to know a little bit about everyone that was introduced. They all love each other but their pranks and bantering is highly entertaining. It was really fun meeting them and I am excited to learn more about them.

With the amount of family members in the MacGregor family, I have no doubt that we will be entertained with romances for many books to come.

When Lydia Barratt discovers the hot Scot she met on her way to the post office is her new neighbor the last thing she expects is that he's just one member of a clan of warlocks. Erik MacGregor isn't looking for his true love when he meets Lydia but there's a pull between them he can't ignore. When an evil presence decides it wants to use Lydia to hurt the MacGregors, spells and sparks fly.

If you don't care for a man in a kilt then this one is probably not for you. But this nifty blend of Scottish charm and magic is a really fun ride. While I'll admit Erik did things I personally found unredeemable more than once it was the only big flaw. Lydia is a bit of a shut-in for some reason and Erik kind of pulls her out of her shell in ways so I enjoyed the contrast between them. Erik I kind of wanted to punch in the face regularly because he pulls a few stunts that I would throat punch a guy for doing IRL. If he hadn't pulled them it would have took the conflict out of the story but still... not cool.

The rest of the clan, however, were really amusing and if you love a good family-is-always-into-your-business situation in a romance you'll like the MacGregors. I don't think it's been decided yet if there will be more installments of the MacGregor Warlocks so keep your fingers crossed. There are a lot of secondary characters that would make for more fun with magical, funny, sexy times. It has a certain Kenyon-esque quality that I think a lot of readers will love. This was my first read from Pillow but I think I'm going to have to see what else she has out there because this was just plain good fun.

I really enjoyed this story! I listened to the audio version. It took me a little while to get into the story but I really enjoyed once I did. The narrator did a fantastic job with the accents. This story had plenty of action and intrigue to keep you entertained and engaged. There are quite a few twists and turns as well that keep you wondering what's going to happen next. The MacGregor clan is definitely a treat and it will be fun to keep reading the series and get the rest of their stories.

Love Potions by Michelle M. Pillow is the first book in her Warlocks MacGregor series. I was pleasantly surprised by the lighthearted humor and great characters.

Love Potions pulled me in from the beginning. The writing felt relaxed and smooth. This aspect combined with well defined characters made this a really great read. The family dynamic of the MacGregors and reading about their shenanigans was a lot of fun and supported my theory that when siblings get together they will be eternally immature. Lydia Barratt really just wanted to remain in her home alone and running her online business, but what kind of story would that be? Meeting Erik MacGregor and having a whole clan of Scottish warlocks move in next door is bound to mix things up. And that it did!

The conflict in this story also seemed to pull me in easily and didn't feel forced. It always makes for a smooth read when the conflict fits with the story.

Love Potions really was a lighthearted love story that was a complete pleasure to read. I think any paranormal romance reader would find this story entertaining and I will be anxiously awaiting for more in this series.

I rate Love Potions 4 out of 5 Bullets

Lydia Barratt is enjoying a quiet and lovely life in small town Green Vallis fashoning lotions and soaps from ingredients she grows herself. She is happy in her life. Happy in her business and in the small home she inherited from her grandmother. When Erik MacGregor moves to town, he shook Lydia's life to it's foundation.

Erik MacGregor, a centuries old warlock/shifter, has given up on the idea of finding a life mate. He certainly has no intent to fall in love with Lydia. Very drawn to one another, both Lydia and Erik fight their attraction. When Lidia and her best friend Charlotte are kidnapped and held captive by a cult, Erik and his family come to their rescue, allowing love to blossom.

Love Potions is a fun read. Michelle Pillow paints a story rich in strong and endearing characters. I see my friends, family and neighbors in these characters making them easy to invite into my mind and heart. I can only hope there are many more MacGregor men to enjoy.

Love Potions by Michelle Pillow

This is a great read with lots of humor, lust and family foolery. It also includes a touch of light evil for suspense and drama. Without getting into spoilers, the scene where Erik's sister plays a trick on Erik is fabulously funny and touching. He's so in love! Great entertainment.

Lydia Barratt has lived in her small home town all her life. The townspeople may think she's a little reclusive but they forgive her for the great lotions she makes and the fact that she doesn't cause any problems.
Erik MacGregor is a warlock and his entire clan is moving onto the mountain.
When Lydia and Eric meet there are instant sparks. Literally. And it's a little more than he's prepared for. Somehow she's got the power to steal his magick!

The story of Erik and Lydia was great entertainment. There was a great mix of romance, passion, drama, and humor which made this 99 cent novel much more than expected.

Lydia just wants to run her small lotion business and pretty much hope the rest of the world leaves her alone.

Erik comes along and pretty much destroys any chance of that happening and in the process turns her whole world upside down and inserts chaos in its place.

While I did really enjoy the story I have to say that Erik was so arrogant, overbearing and to be honest not really that much of a good thing for Lydia for a good portion of the novel that it was really hard to warm up to him. the author had to work hard to make him likeable IMHO.

If chaos does not set well in your entertainment this is not your book because it is full of it and each time you think things have calmed down some new disaster occurs, all of which I found very entertaining for the most part (with a couple of exceptions)

As to be expected, there some actual bad guys (more than you think) in addition to Erik who is not bad but extremely clueless with women it seems anyplace outside the bedroom.

I gave it 4 Stars rather than 5 due to my initial dislike of Erik (which continued longer than it should have), Lydia seeming lack of any willpower in too many scenes and sexual innuendos overdone to the point of irritation on my part.

I still would highly recommend this book because at the end of the day I enjoyed it a LOT and the near perfect use of humor in most situations. I would have liked her to have just a bit more spine, I never did feel like she got even for his first screw-up but I am a revenge junkie so you can ignore that :)

Bottom Line: It was good, I enjoyed reading it and if she writes anymore with the house full of insanity that is Erik's family I will be reading them. Throw in a few good laughs and you have a better book than most of the ones I read.

Love Potions is the first book in the Warlocks MacGregor series. It follows one of the MacGregor sons, Erik. I think that each of the books will follow a different member of the MacGregor clan, which will be very exciting because it is easy to see from this story how tight knit their family is. It is also so much fun to watch them joke around with each other. The MacGregors are a bunch of pranksters. And throw magic into the mix, and well let's just say that some of their pranks get a little inventive.

Erik is used to getting everything and everyone that he wants. Girls have a tendency to throw them him, so when he meets his next door neighbor and she doesn't give into him right away, he seems to be a little off kilter. I liked that Lydia was so strong willed. She seemed to be the only one able to put him in his place. Not even his brothers were able to accomplish this. Lydia is just what Erik needs. But Erik and Lydia do not have an easy road. I honestly did not know if they were going to end up together or not. Lydia has a bit of a temper on her, and rightfully so! I mean, this family shows up out of no where and bring magic and spells into her life, not to mention evil spirits. Throw in a love spell and you have a hot mess. But it was hilarious fun!

I do wish I had paid a little better attention to the glossary of terms at the start of the book because I didn't know some of the things that Erik was saying. Some were explained, but others weren't. I also wasn't super clear on what an Inthrall was. I know that they can suck a warlock's powers from him, sometimes to the point of death. Which seems pretty serious to me, but the MacGregor's never really seemed concerned. I wish that was explained a bit better, but it eventually gets explained and worked out.

Love Potions has stubborn, yet charming warlocks, lots of magic, tons of chemistry and a plot that you are sure to enjoy. This book was a lot of fun, and the MacGregors are great. I love their family and I can't wait to read all of the brothers, sister, and cousin's stories.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

This is a hilarious and romantic paranormal story full of magical creatures and humans, good and evil. I couldn't put it down and I can't wait to read more in the series! A bunch of wild warlocks who liven things up on a regular basis, their families, and a town full of people that don't know what they are. The characters are so fun and described so well you feel like you know them. I laughed out loud so many times - it was so enjoyable to read.

This is the first book in the Warlocks MacGregor series. It’s a fantastic paranormal romance about a woman who wants nothing more than to be left alone and a determined Scottish warlock who is willing to use plenty of magic on her to get what he wants that it will have you laughing out loud. Add in some hidden evil and meddling family members and anything can happen. I cannot wait to see which MacGregor clan member gets their story told next.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

So parts of this book were really funny and parts of it were disturbingly bad. There were so MANY things happening at the same time and it was all over the place.

I actually liked the secondary characters more than the main characters. I hope the sequel focuses on Charlotte and Niall (I think that's his name, the mean brother) . If it does I'll check it out otherwise I'll pass thank you very much.
