Wow. I have never heard of this author before. What a fast-paced read. Her turn of phrase is quite distinctive. I thoroughly enjoyed. An epilogue in about five years would have been the cherry on top!!!

Olivia and Alex are smokin'! Alex is a cocky (haha), gorgeous, endowed, and high-priced escort who falls for Olivia the moment he sees her at a fundraising event that's the first public outing with a client he's ever agreed to but nothing goes as planned. The cougar client he turned down for the event (Alex not knowing it was the same event) sees him with his cougar client "date" and all hell breaks loose. The fight is hysterical and poor Olivia (it's her fundraising event) pays the price, in more ways than one, but she is spunky, funny, beautiful, and resilient. The dialogue is witty and sharp and the chemistry off the charts. You won't be disappointed unless you're looking for really deep dives into the characters, which really isn't as necessary to me as some reviewers would prefer. I only found a couple of editing errors that don't take you out of the moment, so that's excellent.

Excellent read. I am happy to have found this new author and I will keep up and follow her for more books. Cannot wait to start reading Rough.and Grind which I have already purchased. I will share this new author to my friends who love to read.

I really didn't know what to expect when starting this book. Once I started I could stop. I read it in a day and feel in love with Oliva and Alex( which is my name too)!!! It is suck a sweet love story!! So glad I picked it up!!!

First review I've left on the store. Story was awesome. Some funnies, some serious and a lot of HOT. Loved the story line. I was sold when I read Marines, PTSD and service dogs. We are a Navy family, dog lovers and believe there should be more to help our veterans. PTSD IS A HORRIBLE thing to suffer with. Alex and Olivia had great chemistry but agree with another viewer that Jesse was not my favorite. I will definitely be reading more from this author!

Wow wow wow!!!!!! When I started reading this book I thought it was going to be all sex and more sex. But it had heart and soul. This is my first book of hers and it won't be my last! Alex and Olivia were great.

I cannot say enough about this book. These two beautiful damaged people, Alex and Olivia, find in each other a home, peace, and love. Alex grew up with nothing, joined the marines, but felt his only worth was being a male escort. In doing that, he made a lot of money, but was able to step away from life and truly
LIVING! Never quite feeling good enough. Olivia. She blames herself for her brothers death, and longs for he best friend Jesse to FINALLY notice her and WANT her like she's wanted him forever. What I got throughout this story is that no matter how beautiful, or rich you may be, EVERYONE Has SOMETHING. We all carry tragedy, hurt and regrets even if the world doesn't see it. But that doesn't mean we can't over come things and find love and happiness again. I was totally immersed in this story, and I can't recommend it enough. You will NOT. Be disappointed!

His arrogance and the mayhem he created during his first meeting with Olivia were unappealing. But meeting Olivia seemed to be what he needed to become a better Alex. Olivia was quirky but interesting. I enjoyed their back stories and seeing how they were able to grow together. I was sorry to see the story end, but I really hope we get to read more of this couple's story!

Loved to hate Alex... masculine, arrogant, sexy, irresistible... Olivia was his perfect match - when you know you know. The character development between them and Jesse continual interference kept interest. Looking forward to reading all he rest of the Marines introduced as well as Alex and Olivia continual appearance. Guarantee good read - won't be able to put down...

Yowza!!! This was my first novel by Sybil Bartel. Definitely won't be my last. Great, fiery characters. Wonderful male leading voice. Minimal to no editing errors. I'm already moving on to more of her work and can't wait. Thank you for such a great read!

The characters seemed so real. Their quarrels could of lasted forever and I would still continue reading. The chemistry between them kept my attention through the whole book. At some point I hated Alex but then that all changed. Great book!

First book I tried with this author....Thought it was good, didn't drone on and on with the inner thoughts. Was a quick easy read, the characters were witty and funny. Will read the rest in the series

Sybil Bartel delivers every time. Alex is the kind of man every woman wants...but his past gets in the way. He fights for what he wants and that's what makes it a great read. You want a happy ending, Sybil Bartel delivers it.
