I bought this and many other Sandra Boynton Books! My Grandchildren Love them all! The Songs and Books are clever and Very Funny! You can not go wrong with BB King singing the One Shoe Blues, but has anybody seen my coat?

I love the Boynton books, in general. ("Hippos Go Beserk" is a must-own book!) They're great for kids and fun for the parents to read, too. But this CD and book? Dull. And it's not that I have a problem with the style of music. I just didn't find the songs entertaining, and my son (now 2) isn't engaged at all. He's all over the Muppet Show CD, but this one is a yawn. Just one opinion (and obviously in the minority here)...

I like silly books, and song books and Sandra Boynton books. Well, this book has all three. To be honest, I haven't really read the book, except to sing along with the enclosed CD, but the drawings are Sandra Boynton-charming and the words/lyrics are hysterical. What I really love about this book is the enclosed CD.
The CD contains the silly lyrics of a child's song with sophisticated tunes of really, really good music. And the recording artists -- well, B.B. King sings about a missing shoe, just to give you an idea of the quality of the recording artists on this CD. It's crazy. It's outstanding. I love listening to the CD. My son loves the music and loves the accompanying illustrations. Now if I could only get the Uninvited Parade by the Uninvited Loud Precision Band out of my head. Or maybe not. It is a great tune. Even if I don't know all the words. I just boom, boom, boom to the tune and my little boy is in giggles every time.

Boynton and Ford collaborate in this swell collection of silly 1950's-style songs. The book accompanying the CD contains a two-page spread for each song, with titles like "Singing in the Shower," the "Uninvited Parade" which marches through the grocery store and your home, and the obsequious "Your Personal Penguin." All of the artists (fictional and real) are featured in bios at the end of the book, with fifties-style glam photos and a list of their musical achievements. For non-readers, the music is far more enjoyable than the book, but readers will enjoy following along with the lyrics. This is a boatload of silliness, cleverly conceived and executed, and a wonderful media option if you want to limit television.

I used to think Boynton's books were "cute." Now, I am absolutely awe-struck with her talent and genius. Boynton and Ford wrote all of the songs and had some of the best musical artists of all time sing this amazing collection. I bought it for my 4-year-old, but fell in love with it myself. Endearing and brilliant artists such as Neil Sedaka, Davy Jones, BB King and Brian Wilson perform on this CD. What an amazing accomplishment! The songs are genius and they sound like they were written and arranged by the artists who perform them. One of my favorites is the Gorilla Song, by Sha Na Na. This is the best "children's" work we've found... and I listen to it even when my kids aren't around. The book is funny, quirky and off-beat with all the adorable Boynton characters you'd expect! Highly recommended!!

I absolutely love love love this album. O yes and I almost forgot - My child is almost 2 and loves it just as much as I do. To get him interested at first we played the songs along with the pictures in the book which he thought was very funny (especially the song about the dog's nose). It has a great range of famous artists (Including BB king) and the songs are NOT painful to listen to, even over and over and over. I highly recommend this product to anyone who cannot stand another second of boring repetitive kids songs.

I love Philadelphia Chickens and Dog Train, and I just don't think Blue Moo is as good as either of those. I really enjoyed listening to it, and there are several very good songs that are sweet and/or funny. I've copied those several songs to a playlist, and I probably won't listen to the whole album very often. Dog Train, on the other hand, is addictive!

Boynton really never disappoints and I heard about her CD/book combos through friends. Our family loves to listen to these songs and they soothe our babies to sleep. Favorites include: speed turtle and your nose! If you buy this book you and your family won't be disappointed...

This CD just gets better and better. My daughter has been jamming to this since she was 1 and starts to bop as soon as the melodies play. We have it in rotation with some Motown greatest hits in our "MOO-Town" playlist and it is fantastic to go with Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder into "Singing in the Shower" or "1 Shoe Blues." We have backed up now and bought Boynton's first 2 CD-book sets, but "Blue Moo" is our first love. This is what we're giving to everyone for the birthday party rounds this year so all of the friends can sing-a-long.

My 8-month old received this CD for Christmas and my husband and I really like it. The songs are very catchy and upbeat. It's going to be one of those CDs that we'll have to play over and over again when she gets a little older. Even the babysitter asked where she could get it!

We dance around the room to each of these fabulous songs by real pop entertainers, including Davy Jones, B.B. King and Sha Na Na! My children turn the page as each song approaches, and dance or march to the music. You can't go wrong with this one.

Our son sings 'Singing in the Shower' at the water park and in the shower - One Shoe Blues is another favorite that I love too- our son loved Cat Stevens I will always love you, but now is not as much of a fan of some of the others: the Loud, loud, loud song or the speed turtle song. He asks for this album by Singing in the Shower songs. Big fans!

This is a great CD - on par with Philadelphia Chickens (I was not as big of a fan of Rhinoceros Tap or Dog Train). Right now, it is the only CD my 4-year-old daughter will listen to (which is great since the Boynton/Ford CDs are the least likely kiddie CDs to drive my husband and myself insane). In particular, she likes "Singing in the Shower" and "Speed Turtle". My favorite is the "One Shoe Blues".

I purchased this for 2 of my great grandchildren. I bought it just because Boynton's name was one it. They had loved other books of hers. I walked in the other night and the girls were playing it and loving it. I recommend it to all my grandparent friends to give to their little ones.
