An amazing and powerful trilogy. It follows the journey of John Lewis, and recounts his life/experiences throughout the civil rights movement. He mentions all the prominent leaders like MLK and Malcom X. It was truly a moving graphic novel that sheds light on the issues of America that still are problematic to this day.

March and Maus should be required reading for middle school history classes. I cried multiple times while reading all books in the March trilogy - some sad crying, some hopeful/inspired crying. It's such a moving and important story, especially with everything that's happened in 2016 and that might happen over the next 4 years.

One Trump derided John Lewis I bought this to support Mr. Lewis and gave it to my grandchildren. It's important we pass on this knowledge we have to make this a better world and not repeat past mistakes.

A breathtakingly searing yet hopeful history of Rep. John Lewis's involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. The graphic memoir format makes this story easily accessible for younger readers while imbuing the narrative with visuals that create a sense of familiarity and immediacy.

March is a great telling of the civil rights movement from one of the men who was closely involved with it. Graphic novels tend to be marketed to young readers, but this is a story that every one should know.
