I usually love the whole Stephanie Plum series, so much that I can't wait for the paperback and I end up buying the expensive hardcover as soon as it's released. I wish I had saved my $4 on this paperback. BORING! I'm halfway through and trying to decide if I should just toss it or finish it. Now that I've wasted my money on something that gives me no enjoyment, I hate to waste my time too. Just to be safe, I may have to wait for #14 to come out in paperback rather then buy it in hardcover.

In this short little "between-the-numbers" novel, we have Stepahnie finding love in the air close to Valentine's Day. Instead of trying to track down dangerous dudes, she's trying to help Cupid a little bit with his search for relationships for some, shall we say, problem daters. I enjoyed this book. It was funny and quite a nice little Valentine's Day story. I sincerely hope that Ms. Evanovich plans to make these between the numbers books a habit. It would be neat so have them around various special days in the year. Next year perhaps - why not Hallowe'en or even St. Patty's Day?

I'm not a fan of the unmentionables, or the hocus pocus that the in-betweens seem to offer. They seem aimed somehow at marketing to a holiday gift basket. Christmas, Valentines Day, what next-- Fourth of July?? Plum Fireworks? No thanks. This story wasn't fleshed out enough. Although I was greatly amused at the dialogue while "video research" was going on- I have to agree with a previous reviewer. Many of the main characters' dialogue didn't seem authentic. A quickie Ranger appearance, sans "Babe" and, Morelli completely tuned out. Not enough Ranger and Morelli. Sorry, but lose Diesel. He's a ghost of a character at best and I'm not thrilled with their chemistry.

I absolutely loved the adventure that Stephanie and Diesel went on in this story. It was funny and awesome and I can't wait to read more of these novellas.

I borrowed this book from my local library.

I enjoyed this book even more than Visions of Sugar Plums! This one takes place later in the series so the characters are more defined and the relationships between Stephanie, Ranger, and Joe are more developed. The hero from Suger Plums, the studly Diesel, reappears and is also more clearly described. This leads me to believe there will be more "between the numbers" books with this character. Stephanie is her usual zany self, getting into trouble and saving the day, with her wonderful family in the background providing laugh out loud humor.

This between the numbers novel is a quick fix for us Janet Evanovich fans. Bringing Diesel in from the Wicked Appetite and Wicked Business adds a new aspect to the story. This brings both of these series I love together. Though it is not as long or as in depth as her full novels, she does a great job getting you through between the novels.

I purchased this book because I love the numbered series but this was beyond bad. Like some other posters, I felt exploited, ripped off (and mind you, I purchased this book on sale for $1.97 and STILL felt ripped off!!!).

Come on Janet, we deserve better than this. YOU deserve better than this. Don't fall for the "I gotta make all the money I can out of this series while I can make it" routine. As for me, I've been burned so seriously that I will NOT purchase #15, I'll get it from the library, if I bother to read it at all.

I have read all of Evanovich's books. I love her characters. You are immediately drawn into them. It is almost like you know them. After reading just a few of her books, you think of her characters as family, friends, or neighbors. Since I already knew most of the characters in this book I thought it would be a great read. I was disappointed. While I did have my usual "laugh out loud" moments, I felt like the story was hurried and did not follow any particular story line. The events appeared disorganized. Usually reading one of her novels brings me to telling my friends about the scenes and lines. This one just fell flat-in a hurry.

This "between the numbers" Plum novel is barely a novella. More like a long short story.

The plot is immaterial. If you know Stephanie Plum, Grandma Mazur et al, this is a banzai visit. It contains all the requisite Plum material, and there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.

If you don't know these characters, start with One For the Money. This slender volume is no place to meet these people.

This was a real quick read for me, because the book was a wee bit small in the page department. It was a fun read with the irresistible bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum, playing matchmaker by helping a few lonely hearts in the story. There are a few antics and some laughs, but the book is so short that the story never gets fully developed. Diesel is the leading man in this book which I was glad to see. Overall, if you're a Plum fan, you may find this book enjoyable. If you haven't read any of the books in the Plum series, I'd start with "One for the Money" because this book is not your typical Janet Evanovich novel.

Plum Lovin' by Janet Evanovich is entertaining. The story of Stephanie Plum and her wild grandmother, and friend Lula is fast paced, as she tries helping people out for Valentine's Day. Fiction lovers will like this the most.

As I started to read this I thought 'Have I read this before? No, I couldn't have because it's new' Well I flipped to pages towards the end and it seemed similar to other books as a matter of fact, it sounds similar to the Christmas book. I got on the store to do a little research just to make sure I wasn't missing something. If you must read this book - get it at the library like I did because I would never spend the money on it, it is really bad. Nothing exciting or new. Very disappointing

Ah, Stephanie Plum....what can you say about her....these volumes are some of the funniest novels I have read in a long time...Vinnie, Stephanie, Connie, Lula, Ranger....all seem like real life....Stephanie gets into the most problems I have seen....

I LOVE Janet Evanovich, particularly the Plum series so I was so excited to see a new novel on the new book list at my local library. I must say this book was a little disappointing. It wasn't as laugh-out-loud funny as the previous Plum books. I'd still reccomend it to Plum fans, but keep your expectations lower than usual. It did, however, make me look forward to a "real" book in the #13 book...

As a faithful reader and fan of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels I was very disappointed with Plum Lovin'. I always look forward to the next adventure of Stephanie Plum and her LOL antics. This 'Between the Numbers' novel was less than half as much fun as her previous 'Whole Numbers' novels. From now on I'll be waiting for the real thing.

As always, Stephanie Plum and her family and friends make you laugh. This book is short and enjoyable. It not only poses a mystery to solve but has Stephanie in charge of helping people find love and have their best Valentine's Day ever. As anyone being a Stephanie Plum fan knows, she has enough trouble sorting out her own love life.

What a great after-Christmas gift! I spent the summer of 2006 reading all of the Stephanie Plum books; I can't believe I hadn't discovered them earlier. As my mother, sister, sister-in-law, and I anxiously await the next number novel, this is an excellent Stephanie fix. My only complaint is the shortness of it. All Stephanie fans need to read this Diesel/Stephanie/Lula novella. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I'll take Stephanie Plum, Lulu, Grandma Mazur and all however I can get them. This between-the-numbers book definitely had me laughing and turning the pages. I just love the characters and can't get enough of them! I missed Joe and Ranger in this book which is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I love the wit, the outrageous situations, the family interactions, and Lulu's hilarious take on things (gotta love her approach to dieting!) I don't buy and keep many books at all (I'm a library gal) but I do collect the Stephanie Plum books, and even though Plum Lovin' has no number, it will definitely be added to my collection just the same.

The numbered Stephanie Plum books are among my favorite novels, and I've introduced many girlfriends to the series, too. But I really don't care for the "between the numbers" books. The hint of magic doesn't work for me, and the details are inconsistant with the rest of the series. From now on, I'll save my money and reading time for the numbered books and skip the betweens.

I am a big Stephanie Plum fan and was eager to read this book while waiting for Plum 13 to be published.

What a major disappointment. I didn't laugh once: everything was flat and contrived. Not even the scenes with the grandmother were funny.

Ms. Evanovich should stick with the genre that has made her famous and wealthy. Her publishers should have been more prudent.

More works like this and she will lose her following.

After reading all 12 Stephanie Plum novels I was really looking forward to a new one. Well I should have heeded the warning on the cover..."A Stephanie Plum Between the Numbers Novel". Between the Numbers is right. This was awful. She was either needing the money, under a deadline from her publisher or just "plum" out of ideas.

Wait for #13 or try another author. This was a disappointment.

I love the Stephanie Plum series. Absolutely hilarious. GREAT writing, great stories that all seem to overlap with each other in one form or another. You can start anywhere and know what is happening and just enjoy each one on it's own.

Unlike the numbers books by Evanovich, which get better with each book, this one was a huge disappointment. No thought went into the plot. Where did Diesel come from?? And a "white Ranger"?? How could Evanovich even think about it? And why does Stephanie need any more sexy men in her life? It was trite and silly. Evanovich should stick to what she does best, the numbers books. Let's hope this doesn't mean she's out of ideas.

The worst interruption a joke teller can hear is a member of his audience blurting out, "Heard it." And that should be the blurt of those who are familiar with the previous dozen or so Stephanie Plum novels. The writer needs to get some new jokes.

We now have a third stud to add to Plum's menagerie of the muscle bound. He is very little different from the first two. Perhaps the trio are the combined fantasies of female readers. The story isn't much different either. Nor are the other characters. Nor are the jokes. One or two Plum novels are worthwhile and funny, but I think Ms. Evanovich is about ten over the limit.

Having read several Stephanie Plum novels, I was surprised at the brevity of this one. It is pretty much the standard Plum story except it feels like Janet E got about half way through it and decided to chop it off. The plot was going along fine and then ties up rather quickly and the story ends.

It was more like a sample than a novel.

While I am not a big fan of the whole "Unmentionables" part of the book, I did find myself snickering again at Ms. Plum. I have been waiting patiently for the next installment of Stephanie, and while this helped to ease the want, it was definately not a true Plum novel. A short read, midly entertaining, but I would borrow this book from one of your friends or the library rather than spending hard earned cash on it.

A book you must read if (like me) you love Stephanie Plum even while knowing (like me) the book won't be up to usual Evanovich standards. But that will not matter if (like me) you adore all things Plum.

I was not overly excited reading this Valentine Novella by Janet. However, the story was much better than "Visions of Sugar Plums". Again, we have Diesel who pops into Stephanie's kitchen and who has no background or even a last name (as evidenced on the marriage certificate). Ranger is out of town and Joe is busy at work and barely makes an appearance. The interplay between Lula and Tank is good but the storyline about Valerie and the culmination of the book with the wedding was downright ridiculous and unbelievable even for Stephanie Plum.

This is a between books, novel. It may not be absolutely necessary to read this to complete the Stephanie Plum series, but it does give us insights into Stephanie's character as well as a deeper insight into other characters who are regulars in the series. It is a "stand alone" book, but I would recommend that it be read in the order in which it was witten.

The names are the same, but I don't recognize the characters. The writing of this "between the numbers" book is very different from the numbered books. The writing is immature. The characters are flat. The story is stupid. It lacks the flow and humor of the numbered books. Strike two.

I couldn't even read the first chapter of this. The first few (up until about 10) Stephanie Plum books were good and I enjoyed Love Overboard, but I think the author is trying to revitalize her old novels that didn't sell and it's not working.

You really can't go wrong reading any of the Stephanie Plum books and this one is no exception! While I admit the between the numbers novels aren't quite as great as the regular books they are still really, really good! Hilarious antics as always, definitely kept me entertained. I stayed up way later than I should of cause I just couldn't put it down. My only complaints are how short it is (I finished it the same day I bought it) and of course not enough of my fav Ranger :( I definitley would recommend this book and all of the other Stephanie Plum novels if you have yet to read them.

In between her zany adventures as a bounty hunter , Stephenie Plum steps into the world of the paranormal to help a new "hottie" who has some special powers and hunts others just like him.
Laugh, gasp and roll on the floor. Stephanie meets the X files!

After having read all of the Stephanie Plum series I was a little disappointed in this one. I had to start the book two or three times to get into it. I missed Joe and Ranger and didn't have enough time with Grandma. Stephanie is more fun as a bounty hunter than cupid.

I think the book, itself, was good and entertaining. But it certainly was not a Janet Evanovich book. While reading it, I just felt something was "off" but I couldn't pinpoint what it was. Then the scene where Ranger shows up. Now, Plum enthusiasts know in their hearts what Ranger will say to Stephanie. He'll say, "Babe." But he didn't. He said something like, "I didn't mean to startle you." Ranger doesn't talk like that. Not even in the early novels. "Babe" is his trademark. Never, ever, would he NOT say that to Stephanie. So from then on out I read the book with the nagging thought that Janet Evanovich didn't write it.

And THAT is what is wrong with it. I don't think she did. The visuals weren't there. The dialogue was off. Lula doesn't talk that way. Grandma doesn't talk that way, and no way would Stephanie's father actually TALK at the dinner table like he did in this book.

No, I don't think this was written by Janet Evanovich at all. It was someone else's good attempt at it, but it fell short. A great read, though, for those that want a fun novel. But it is not for Plum enthusiasts.

I tried to read a between the numbers book before, and I never finished it. The stuff with Diesel is so ridiculous and unbelievable!! My MIL loaned this to me while our library was closed and I was looking for something to read. I had to force myself to finish it because I wanted to find out what happens. I shouldn't have even wasted my time.

This one reminded me a lot of the last 'between the numbers' novel. It was fun, but the magic theme places it outside the series' usual scope. Still I enjoy reading about the Unmentionables. I wish Evanovich would start a series about them and leave Stephanie out of it. I think that would work better overall.

Having read all of the (numbered)Stephanie Plum novels so far, I feel like Janet Evanovich is trying to capitalize on an opportunity to exploit the popularity of her heroine. I almost didn't read the book when Diesel popped out on the first couple of pages. Stephanie has her hands full with Morelli and Ranger(and I missed them in this book). And Diesel's gift for popping in and out is too science fiction for me. I love Stephanie Plum whole heartedly and so I did read this book. But this latest offering makes me wonder if Janet Evanovich just needed a down payment for a new house or a trip to the Caribbean.

This book isn't going to be winning any major critics' awards, but don't be surprised if it walks away with the People's Choice award. Short, sweet, and silly, it's the perfect PopTart novel -- go to it as a filler between meals, but don't expect anything of real substance.

One note -- I would have liked to get it in paperback instead of being forced to pick it up in hardback. $16.95 for an evening's entertaiment is a little steep.

This book lacked plot, character development, and was just plain boring. I felt like I read the first 160 pages of a book that should have been at least 300 pages ...I was left thinking "what was the point of this book???" I've only read a few of Evanovich in the past and I don't think I will read many more. This was disappointing and after reading all the hype here on the store, I expected much more. I doubt if anyone who hasn't already read a Stephanie Plum book will buy this - it's certainly not the one to start with (that would be One For The Money). But anyone who has been bitten by the Stephanie Plum bug will love this little book (these things used to be called 'novellas'), the second such that Janet Evanovich has produced among the thirteen long stories. This is a wonderful series of comic crime stories - it ought to be filmed (or perhaps be a TV series) - I tend to think of the Rockford Files crossed with Cagney and Lacey, but who am I to say? Buy them all. Several times over. Today.

I have read, and loved, most of the Stephanie Plum novels, but this one doesn't even seem like it was written by Evanovich. With the exception of predictable language patterns (the man "angling himself behind the wheel") there was none of the Stephanie relationship suspense. No Ranger, 2 minutes of Morelli and a new guy Diesel that she doesn't even flirt with. It was short in length, short on action, and definitely short on romance. If you need to read it, borrow it from the library. Don't spend money on this one.

Not much of a plot or story in this "between the numbers" book. The editorial reviews pretty much say it all.

Exploitation of this type is a growing trend in the publication industry and includes the trend of the trade paperback in lieu of the mass-market paperback. This was definitely not Janet's best work. It was incredibly hard to get into and took me much longer then normal to read. I usually breeze right through Janet's books, this one was just choppy and not making sense. It jumped all over the place. I feel it was a waste of money.

As an avid Plum fan, I was excited when I heard this book was coming out. Then I read it. Meh. It was very short, way too expensive for a novella, and the plotline was ludicrous. We are avid fans because of good writing and characters that we're all invested in, after 12 books. I agree with alot of other posters who feel like this was a lame attempt to make more money on an obviously successful francise. I really, really hope that number 13 is tons better than this insipid attempt.

I purchased the unabridged audio edition of this novel. Normally Stephanie Plum books are good for a laugh, but I really think she jumped the shark with this one. Blonde+Ranger= Diesel? Stephanie as a match maker? A character named Beaner who gives people hives? Just too much! Way, way too much. Evanovich can do better.

I'm just not into the cosmic bounty hunter=Diesel thing, or the far-fetched goofy super-powered characters which inhabit this book. Aren't Stephanie's whacky hijinks enough?

There were a couple of good scenes. Such as when Lula and Stephanie are watching adult movie. But these scenes were few and far between. The rest of the story seemed to substitute spastic zaniness for humor.

2 stars.

I am a huge Stephanie Plum fan, but I found this "between the numbers" book to be disappointing. What good are these books without Morelli and Ranger? The recipe that makes a Stephanie Plum book is the perfect balance of mystery and comedy along with a splash of romance. Being a true fan, I cant tell you not to read this; but dont expect the magic of a true Stephanie Plum novel. This was a weak hold over until the next in the series comes out.

Once again, Janet Ivanovich hit the mark. Even though our heartthrob Ranger was not in force, this story was engaging enough to keep me reading. I really enjoyed the unusual super powers (the kind I would probably have, not heroic, just troublesome). The matchmaking background was wonderful. I am so happy Stephanie's sister is now an honest woman.

I have read all the other reviews up to this point and I have to disagree with all the negative comments.

This is just a nice little filler until the next numbers book comes out. I actually like the fact that it brought back Diesel from Visions of Sugar Plums. This book is not supposed to be like the numbers, it is just supposed to be a little pick me up while we wait for her next installment.

If you don't want to pay full price for this book or even discount price, go to your local library and check it out. It is a very quick read so you should not have to wait terribly long to get your hands on it.

Stephanie Plum is one of those unforgettable charactors in fiction. Evanovich has created a charactor who becomes a friend. Her adventures are are consistently engaging and real. However, this edition of Plum was a disappointment. No nearly as funny and not at all engaging. It felt like someone other than Evanovich wrote this one. Either that, or she had a 72 hour deadline to meet. Don't purchase. Borrow from the library.

...when she wrote this book. Thank goodness I didn't buy this trash but got it from our public library. This inane garbage may have taken 45 minutes to write, but certainly no more. This is pure and simple exploitation of her fan base to make a quick buck. It is not even close to being on a par with "12 Sharp" which I thought was one of her best efforts.

Where else can you find such novelties as a 35 year old female virgin (thanx Steve Carrell!),a porno star named Big Chief, clueless butchers, and of course Stephanie's dad asking to "just shoot me"? The book was devoured in less than 2 hours uninterrupted;with my partner mumbling "hoo-boy" and "what did Grandma Mazur do now?" (he just doesn't get it!!!) in between laughing out loud. My only issue is the lack of pages and wishing there was the infamous preview for the next book. Yet again, Evanovich delivered and like that car crash-you can't look away.

I'd really like to rate this about 3 1/2 stars for how little a book it really was. I know that was sort of the point, but boy it was a fast read. I can't really say the book is all that memorable, but it was enjoyable for the hour or so it took to read it. A nice "Plum fix" to hold us over until June when book 13 arrives. It was nice to see Diesel again and the new quirky characters were fun!

She may not be deep or complex, but Janet Evanovich knows how to use dialogue to drive a story ... and in this latest example of Stephanie Plum's adventures, you have to read fast just to keep up. I like Evanovich because she's a quick, escapist read with characters that I feel like I know all too well. While much can be predicatable, JE will throw in a curve every once in a while that keeps me coming back for more. These characters have become like old friends ... I'm always glad when they show up, even if it's just for a short visit ... and I hope they keep coming back.

Yes, it's short. So what? It was a fun read - with all the usual humor and innuendo. And why pay $16? You can get it at a discount here on the store. Or I got it at my local grocery store for a little over $10. You could also wait for it to come out in paperback. Don't discount the possibility that Janet had an idea for a fun, short story that she didn't want to drag out into a long novel just for the sake of filling pages. Maybe it was the publisher's idea; maybe it was hers. But I enjoyed reading it and getting a little something "between the numbers."

This book kept my head spinning. It seems like Janet was in a hurry to finsh this book.

The scenes were never really finished with any depth. The wedding at the end was WAY too rushed. Looks to me like there was plenty of opportunity for a more slow relaxed humor. Instead, it was rush rush and there's the end. Wahhh???? THat's it?

I've been a fan of Evanovich for a long time, but Plum Lovin' has to be the most amateurish written book I've ever read. Ms Evanovich is either using a controlled substance, lost her touch or is simply using her name to make a buck. I was able to borrow the book from a friend, so I feel I am so lucky to not have wasted my hard-earned money on it. Ms. Evanovich, if you cannot do better than this, quit while you're ahead.

Don't bother purchasing this book - it's just not up to par with her earlier books in the series. I know this is a between the numbers book - probably a little teaser of things to come but you must be kidding me. Diesel is annoying and sounds and acts far too much like Ranger. The book also isn't worth it if there's no Morelli and he barely made an appearance.

Borrow the book perhaps - if you have some time on your hands but do not spend the money.

Another great book in the Stephanie Plum series. If you haven't read any of these books, then you are missing out. Go right now and order One for the Money and start reading it. These books are hands down the funniest things, I've ever read. You'll be laughing so hard you are crying.

This book was exactly what I needed. A fun and fast read to satisfy my Plum craving until June. It was great to follow Stephanie doing some not so dangerous stuff for a change. And Lula and Tank are so cute together. And I thought there was enough hints about the Ranger/Morelli love triangle to get me thinking about what may happen in the next book.

While the story was ok, not great, the Kindle copy I received was very poor. It looked like a poor scan of the book or really bad digital transfer - letters not aligned, lines out of place .... This not the quality one expects from Janet Evanovich or her publishers.

It is very small book but that is why it is called a novella "Between the Number" Novel which is almost like a short stroy, but it is a cute treat with a few laughs, but it is not as bad as the readers say! Just because it is short, it is not that bad, it is pretty cute.

Recommend that Janet admit she's starting to write a little more supernaturally?

I love Stephanie, she makes me laugh out loud, which after 50 years of reading is really what I enjoy the most. This shorty is no exception, she made me laugh without even destroying a car!

I look forward to her next adventure.

It had hilarious moments. Especially loved Stephanie's grandmother. Liked the new male character for extra spice. This book was shorter then her others. Ended too quickly and I wish it had been longer. Length of the book reflects the lower price. It was still very enjoyable and not disappointing.

I disagree with the negative reviews on Plum Lovin. This is dessert. Think of it as the pineapple upside down cake after the pot roast and all the trimmings. Short, sweet, and immensly enjoyable. This was never intended to be a major novel like one through twelve.

Short read and no Joe and Ranger, which makes the Plum novels exciting! The story line was too close to "Visions of Sugar Plum," Valentine's day instead of Christmas. Can't wait for another number series.

you won't be disappointed. I was. Okay, I'll admit it. I expect the world from Janet Evanovich, and 99% of the time, she delivers. I've read all the Stephanie Plum novels--Many Times. I bought them all in hardback and paperback, so that I'd have the paperbacks to loan to friends. I've sung her praises to anyone and everyone who would listen.

This one seemed like a seasonal afterthought. Not that it wasn't good. It was, but it was SO not up to her standards. It was too short, and her regular characters were there in name only.

I look forward to #13. I know she'll be back to her own standard of excellence with that book.

This book is off beat from the usual Plum novel. New characters and a really dumb plot. But like the other Plum books it works! I laugh so hard I almost lost control of the car. It lives up to the Plum tradition.

100% classic Janet Evanovich, funny, edgy and sexy. I don't know what the negative reviewers are talking about. It made me laugh out loud in more than one place. It's a novella, folks, the genre is supposed to be short.

If you are looking for an easy read book that you can't put down because you just want to know what else this crazy bounty hunter will get herself into then read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.

Every storyline is more enjoyable than the next. I actually laugh out loud at some of the shannigans Stephanie involves herself in. She always manages to come out a winner but with more scrapes and bruises than she expected. I hope Ms. Evanovich continues to entertain us with these witty novels.

Picked up the book on Friday night, finished it Saturday morning. Not a thick book by any standard but enough to get me through until "Lean Mean Thirteen" comes out. It's nice Janet writes these books for the die-hard fans.

2 stars.

If you have never read this author, I highly advise you to read just one of her books in the series. You will be hooked on Stephanie Plum and her grandma in seconds...they are hysterical. This a must read anytime.

I don't know if this "between-the-numbers" idea is a publisher's desire for more bucks, or if Evanovich is scraping the bottom, but I DO know that what was once a great series is gettng worse and worse. I think the next "13" book should be the end. Wrap it up, Janet.

Don't waste your money on this one. As an avid reader of the Stephanie Plum series, I was looking forward to this "in between the numbers" book. There were a couple of laugh-out-loud moments, and I always like reading about Bob, but overall, this is not a page turner.

Yes, Plum lovin is Under two hundred pages. Yes, it cost sixteen dollars, but trust me, its well worth the cost. The book brings in the charecter of Annie Hart, but more importently, the people she's suposed to help. The novel is funny, its good for a read, and you will enjoy it.

I love the Plum stories. The ones in between are very good. Plum Lovin is great. It has hummer, action, some lovin. Just lost my husband and this book was great to read. Don't have TV and we always read. Nights are hard and this book helped me go somewhere else. I thank you so much. It made me laugh, cry a little and I read it in one night.

I love Janet Evanovich's character, Stephanie Plum. Her side kicks are also very funny. I am often laughing out loud in the car as I listen to their antics. There is just enough mysterie wrapped up in a LOT of humor. Lorelei King is the perfect VOICE for these novels (I did not like the other reader from the original number books: one for the money, two for the dough etc.)

I have read all the "numbers" books and now I am working my way through the "between the numbers" books.

Evanovich delivers with this short, but energetic Stephanie Plum romp. A funny, sort of paranormal Valentine's story, I laughed like usual with the antics of my favorite lady bounty hunter and her zanny family and friends.

A quick, light read guaranteed to raise your spirits and help you pass the time while waiting for the next full length Stephanie Plum novel! Thank you, Ms. Evanovich!

II typically like the Stephanie Plum novels and this one was no exception. The only thing I didn't care for is that the main antagonist story was a bit random . Everything around it, including characters, was fine, and the performance was fantastic. But the overall story was a bit odd. I did like Stephanie having to play matchmaker though, that was entertaining.
