Not impressed. This book may be good for an introduction of basic concepts to someone with absolutely no idea about diet and their body. The writing style is very elementary and paragraphs and sentences are repeated in different parts of the book- cut and paste style. "Logic says" is used repeatedly and other assumptions and claims are made without proper citing or basis. The information is basic and on point but the writing is poor in my opinion. Save yourself the $! Better yet, I'll sell you my copy for a discount and we will both be happy.

An excellent book for any female engaged in Strength training. If you are curious about strength training, how to do it or the reasons why you should, this is the best book available . Delavier also points out the pros and cons an any exercise that may contain risk factors and this alone is worth the price of admissions as very, very books of this nature do this. Delavier has a whole series of soft cover books on resistance training and this is up to his usual high standards.

What a shame! This book probably has some great information, however, the text is so small ( it makes no change when kindle is set to enlarge the text). I have changed the text size on other books so the problem is in this book.

Wow, this book is amazing . I have been strength training for over 35 years now and this is my new bible. The book did not miss a beat. Every time you say to yourself "What if ...? the answer is there.

This book was disappointing . As a titled bodybuilder i was really taken aback by the advice to workout so infrequently , with ridiculous sets of 50: reps. This book is NOT for anyone looking to compete , to gain muscle, in any serious way. Enormously basic. Sadly disappointing .

I love this book!! I like the illustrations and the breakdown of every exercise. Always begins with proper warm of muscles, and at the end the proper stretching techniques for those particular muscles. It's a good reference book if you're making your own strength training routine.
