this book will help me wth college algebra understand it much clearer, score higher on assesments,tests and help improve my overall grade, it was priced reasonable and received item quickly without delays A++++.

I'll start by saying this review has nothing to do with the text book its self, but rather the minimum rental period set by the publisher.
180 days is an absurd minimum period needed for rental as it outstretches the usual college semester by a minimum of 3 whole months. I for one do not need this booking for those three additional months and am completely apaled at the face that I am being forced to pay for the rental of a book which I will certainly not be using for those additional 90 days.
This is nothing short of a money grab attempt and the publisher should feel ashamed.

Super glad I purchased product. Has helped me work on problems step by step. However, since it's a solutions maual it would be super to have all problems in it, not just odd problems. Still a good buy.

I payed about $10 to $15 more to rent the textbook with the MathLabPlus, and I assumed that since I was paying more I would receive an access code. Needless to say, I still ended up paying an additional $70 for an access code. In all, I paid $140 to rent the book and to buy a new access code. I would have been better off buying this textbook with the MathLabsPlus! If you don't need an access code then you would be better off renting the book.

The book is fine, but everything went bad when I was charged for the book plus the trigonometry right triangle substitute, as it was advertise, and I only received the book but not the second booklet. I received the book from a third party which wasn't the seller from the store. I paid around $110 and the seller on the store went and bought the book for $68 and directed the third party to send the book to my address. The seller added the invoice and I saw it. The the store seller didn't want to give me the difference back just because. It took me like a week to get the difference back!, so yes I had a bad one this time, from wrong advertisement to arbitrage!. Thank you.

Used with Western Governors University. WGU is a self study program and this text book offers really poor explanations. WGU has discontinued the class that uses this book. In the end I found a 8th grade Algebra text book that did a better job.

This book arrived in a very timely manner, and was in great condition. The only problem that I have (had) is this...it was stated that the book came with the MathLab student access card. It did come with the card, however, it had already been used, so it was of no value to me. I could have gotten just the book for less money.

This text book has information that can just as easily be found for free online that is much easier to understand. Unless you need to buy it in order to pass the class i would not wast your money. I hope text books like this go the way of the dinosaurs they are inferior to the vast amount of free resources available online. also it would not work on my droid so i could not take it to class (i bought the e-book version of it specifically for this reason, and to save my back from tugging a huge text book around)

My conclusion: huge wast of money, instead spend your money on a good tutor if you are struggling.

Luckily I didn't pay much for this book. I didn't like it at all. I got no understanding from it. I purchased it to help with my algebra class that was very fast paced. I was even more confused by this book than the class.

The advertisement was mis-leading-it was missing a item and lied about the shipping method. When I contaced the seller about the incomplete order, she denied the false information even when I forwarded her the invoice. the seller did give me a 10% refund. However, I had started my class and it was too late for me to deal with trying to send the book back and find another. When I contacted the seller she said that the book was shipped from her relative's store in a different state.

I was only a little miffed when I got to class and noticed that this book did not come with the lab (MATHXL) registration information. I had used the specific ISBN number that should have had the Book, CD lectures and the MATHXL registration I ended up spending more money for that.

I am currently a student who used to just rent books because it was usually cheaper to do that. But I decided to check out the store and found this book for only $2! Its original price at my school and on other sites averaged around $140. The book from the store was "used" but it literally looked new. No markings, no scratches, or anything of that sort. This was definitely a book I recommend purchasing from the store. It will save you so much money!

I know 'Developmental Math' well, have wanted to recover a copy of this fine and truly extensive text for years. I got it at a ridiculously low price. It came quickly and in superb condition. My 40 students have been profiting from its near-infinite examples and practice questions since. Kudos!

I love the way the product was package and shipped at a reasonable time manner. The College Algebra book was well kept and the pages was absolutely markless Compared to past used books. I I'm enjoying my algebra book and thanks.

I ordered this book and received the teacher edition. You would think its great but when your actually trying to learn you can't since you have the answers right there and somehow get lazy and just look an the answer. It's hard to avoid them.

No hassle delivery, fast and accurate. I might've overlooked the explanation of the product and was little surprised to receive the book in loose leafs but it worked well with a folder. The pages were clean and with no markings.

Finding the College Algebra 3rd edition on the store was a fantastic deal. The used book was in great condition with no defects or writing in the book. It also a fantastic buy. It saved us half the cost of a new book. It was a simple process and only took a week to get the book in the mail. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to find a college book at a great price.

I ordered this book and it never came to my address, and I was forced to drop a class. About a month or so later when I complained, I was given my money back, but they kept the shipping and handling charge. I'm not sure if it was just a mistake or what, but I should have gotten ALL my money back for this.

The product came on time and it turned out to look just like a brand new book. Although the book cover wasn't in good condition, it doesn't bother me much because the inside of the book is what counts.

It came in so quickly which was so great since class had already began when I ordered it. It arrived in perfect condition. Not a single tear or scuff anywhere in or on the book. Great condition and I love the fact I rented it instead of having to drop a ton of money on a book that I'll only use for a semester or two.

It was so easy to order this book off of the store.com. It arrived in the mail in no time at all. The price was right. It is in excellent shape for a used book. It doesn't even look used. I will plan on ordering more books next semester from the store, it's a great way to save money!

I really need this by the time class started didn't come till 3 weeks after I had purchased it online from this owner. He apparently had his girlfriend deliver it for him. She delivered it standard when I paid extra money to have it here within three days. I missed my two homework assignments. I finally got the product and it was gross and sticky. He could have wiped everything off of it and sent it me as being decent. The worst part of it all was that he never offered to refund my extra mailing fee that I had paid. Just ignored the situation. I would NOT recommend buying from this guy. You don't get what you pay for.

I purchased this book after looking through it at a student bookstore and deciding it would be very helpful in my college math course by providing a more realistic and detailed view of the problems. I am very satisfied with the assistance it has provided, but am disappointed in one area of linear equations that it does not address. Overall, it is a very well organized and helpful book. I am glad I purchased it, even though it falls a bit short in one difficult area !!

This book will teach you all school algebra. This is one of the smartest books on the market. Explanations are very easy to understand, plenty of examples, problems provided will take you from very easy to quite difficult level in very gradual way. Unlike other math books authors of this one did not try to show how smart they are but really concentrated on typical student needs. Combine this book with Schaum's Outline book for thousands of more supplementary problems and you do not have to go to school at all.

This books is perfectly written offering detailed examples with multiple resolution technikes as well as explained to the point answers with every problem, offers no room for doubts because explanations are clear and understandable.
